Abstract

This study aimed to determine the effect of collage activities on the fine motor skills of fourth-grade children with spastic cerebral palsy at Patrang Special Needs School (SLBN). The method employed was Single-Subject Research (SSR) with an A-B design. The results showed an increase in fine motor skills in the intervention phase compared to the baseline phase, with a final score reaching 91.6%. This study demonstrates that collage activities utilizing the cutting and pasting technique with corn kernels have a positive impact on the fine motor development of children with cerebral palsy. In conclusion, these findings suggest that collage-based art activities can serve as an alternative learning medium and therapeutic tool to enhance fine motor skills in children with special needs. In conclusion, collage activities have a positive effect on the fine motor skills of fourth-grade children with spastic cerebral palsy at Patrang Special Needs School.   Keywords: Cerebral Palsy, Collage, Fine Motor Skills, Single Subject Research

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of extracurricular activities, such as Scouting, on the self-confidence of eleventh-grade students with intellectual disabilities at the Branjangan Special Needs School in Jember. The method used was a quantitative study with an experimental approach, namely a pre-experimental design with a one-group pretest-posttest. The results showed that the average score increased from 52% to 80% after treatment. This study provides new insights into integrating extracurricular activities into vocational education and the importance of an adaptive approach for students with special needs. The conclusions of this study are expected to serve as a model for implementing extracurricular activities in the context of inclusive education.   Keywords: Mild Intellectual Disability, Scouting Extracurricular Activities, Inclusive Education, Vocational Education, Self-Confidence

Abstract

Papaya (Carica papaya) is a plant that is widely found in Indonesia. Papaya flowers are rich in nutrients and have various benefits, both for health and for the culinary industry. Utilization of papaya flowers as a high-value product can be an opportunity to improve the community's economy, especially for farmers who have papaya plants but have not maximized other parts of the plant. During the training, participants were given steps in processing papaya leaves into Implementation Coordination: a) This community service is facilitated by the Jagatnata Maitreiya monastery which determines the training participants. b) The training participants were agreed to be groups of farmers and housewives in Jember. c) The training was carried out at the Jagatnata Maitreiya Jember monastery by providing materials on the benefits, efficacy of nutritional value and economic value. d) Evaluation of the implementation was carried out using direct interviews to find out feedback or expectations that had been achieved and desired by the participants.

Abstract

Penelitian yang digunakan untuk mengetahui pengaruh komunikasi verbal pendamping terhadap kemampuan teknik start jongkok dalam olahraga lari pada atlet disabilitas netra. Komunikasi verbal merupakan media utama yang bisa dijadikan arahan selama pelatihan. Pada atlet disabilitas netra komunikasi verbal sangat dibutuhkan sebagai acuan pelatihan dengan ketentuan disampaikan secara jelas dan penuh empati. Pendekatan yang digunakan menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan jenis desain pre-eksperimental. Sampel yang digunakan adalah 5 atlet disabilitas netra dengan perwakilan umur 13 hingga 17. Melalui hasil penelitian diketahui selisih yang didapatkan dari pret-test ke post-test adalah 35,992. Sedangkan analisis data yang didapatkan sebesar Zh : 2,25 dengan pengujian nilai kritis 5% Z tabel (1,64). Sehingga disimpulkan bahwa komunikasi verbal pendamping berpengaruh terhadap kemampuan teknik start jongkok dalam olahraga lari pada disabilitas netra di NPCI Blitar.
