Abstract

Sunscreen aims to protect the skin from direct sun exposure. This cosmetic product is included in the type of cream. Sunscreen is made from patchouli oil as the main ingredient. The ingredients used in making the sunscreen in each package contain Niacinamide, Avobenzone, Patchouli Oil, Emulgade SE-PE, Cutina GMS SE, Isopropyl Myristate, Dimethicone, Cetiol CC, Glycerin, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, and Aquades (ionize water). The tools used are hot plates, scales, magnetic stirrer, stirring spoons, measuring cups, baking glasses, and pipettes. This sunscreen production method is divided into two phases, namely phase A and phase B. In phase A Niacinamide and Avobenzone are mixed at a speed of 2500 rpm, Temperature 70o C for 15 minutes. In phase B, Phenoxyethanol, Disodium EDTA, and Aquades were mixed at a speed of 2500 rpm, a temperature of 70o C for 15 minutes. The next step is that the two phases are mixed at a speed of 1000 rpm, a temperature of 40o C for 10 minutes until homogeneous, then packaged. The results of the research will be carried out by laboratory tests. The indicators to be tested are organoleptic test, homogeneity test, pH test, cream irritation test and photoprotector activity test. The results of each organoleptic test of sunscreen were white, soft texture, patchouli oil aroma, stickiness on the skin was classified as sticky. Homogeneity test showed homogeneous sunscreen, the test was carried out using glass preparations. A certain amount of cream is applied to the slide and visually observed. This test was repeated three times. The cream pH test was carried out using a pH meter, carried out with a number of creams dissolved in aquades and dipped in a pH measuring instrument. Based on the irritation test, sunscreen does not cause irritation. The test was carried out in vivo, the cream was applied to the back of the hand repeatedly for 3 days to 10 respondents aged 19-22 years.

Abstract

Membangun jiwa kewirausahaan ke dalam diri peserta didik perlu dilakukan untuk membentuk kemandirian peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menkonstruk jiwa kewirausahaan peserta didik dengan menerapkan project based learning berbasis STEMC. Penelitian terdiri dari 52 orang peserta didik kelas X IPA disalah satu SMAN Kota langsa. Jiwa kewirausahaan peserta didik diukur melalui angket kemudian diuji menggunakan paired sample t-test secara statistik dan uji N-gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan penerapan model PjBL berbasis STEMC pada materi elektrolit dan nonelektrolit dapat meningkatkan jiwa kewirausahaan dilihat dari hasil taraf signifikan 0,000 dengan nilai sig <0.05 yang menunjukkan adanya perubahan secara signifikan dan hasil perhitungan N-gain skor rata-rata jiwa kewirausahaan yaitu 0,14. Proses Pembelajaran menggunakan model PjBL berbasis STEMC dapat membentuk pengetahuan awal dengan pengetahuan baru peserta didik dalam menciptakan produk kewirausahaan sehingga menkonstruk jiwa kewirausahaan dalam diri peserta didik

Abstract

Starting in 2022, the merdeka curriculum can be implemented by educational units even though they are not Driving Schools. One of the learning tools needed to implement the independent curriculum is teaching modules. The lack of sources of information and examples of the application of the character integrated learning model in developing teaching modules is an urgency in this research. The aim of this research is to develop an independent curriculum teaching module by implementing an integrated problem solving model of character education in science lessons that is valid and feasible and can be well received by teachers as product users. This research uses research and development (RD) methods, with the ADDIE (analysis, design, development, implement and evaluation) development model. The instruments used were interview guides, questionnaire sheets and observations. The population in this research is teachers at Langsa City State Middle School, the research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The product produced in this research is a science learning teaching module with an integrated problem solving model of character education. The teaching module developed is valid and suitable for use in science learning, with a percentage score of 89.2% in the very valid category. Apart from that, the teacher response to the teaching module product was 89% in the very good category. Therefore, it is recommended that this integrated problem solving model of character education science teaching module be implemented in learning to determine its effectiveness and influence on student learning outcomes.

Abstract

Ecoenzyme is a multifunctional liquid derived from the utilization of fermented household organic waste. This dedication aims to provide understanding to partners to utilize the remaining vegetable waste and fruit skins into ecoenzymes which are then further processed into various useful products. The service begins with conducting a survey of organic waste found in restaurants and catering. Then sort out the wastes that can be used to produce ecoenzymes. This method of service is by providing training, mentoring the production and marketing of the products produced. After dedication, Ecoenzyme derivative products were obtained in the form of hand soap, dish soap and floor cleaner. Currently, these Products have been given a trademark name, composition, and description of the date of production

Abstract

Bhoi cake is one of Aceh's traditional cakes which is served at every traditional wedding party and other events as a side dish to the main meal. Community service activities have been carried out in the Syiah Kuala District, namely Gampong Peurada. This service aims to increase the durability of bhoi cakes, change the packaging to be more attractive and help producers to be able to market bhoi cake products online in e-commerce. This service begins with a survey of the initial conditions of bhoi cakes including post-production durability, packaging, and marketing systems. Before the dedication activity was carried out, the bhoi cake only lasted 5-7 days, after that the bhoi cake would grow mold which indicated that the cake was no longer fit for consumption. Bhoi cakes are packaged in ordinary transparent plastic and marketing is only across villages for the needs of traditional events. This service method uses production, packaging, and marketing assistance. After the dedication, it was obtained that the bhoi cake had a shelf life of 1 month and had a good texture. The bhoi cake packaging is more attractive and modern and is accompanied by the brand name, composition, and production date information. Bhoi cakes can now be purchased by consumers online at the e-commerce link provided.

Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology in the 21st century necessitates an educational approach that fosters students' critical thinking, problem-solving, and conceptual mastery skills, particularly in complex topics such as colloids. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of applying a STEM-based guided inquiry approach in colloid practicums on improving students' conceptual mastery. The research design used was a quasi-experimental pretest-posttest control group study involving 34 second-semester students in the Chemistry Education Program at UIN Ar-Raniry. The research instruments consisted of a two-level multiple-choice concept mastery test and a STEM learning effectiveness questionnaire. The study was conducted over six weeks through several colloid laboratory sessions. Statistical analysis using ANCOVA (p < 0.005) showed a significant difference in posttest scores between the experimental and control groups. The high effect size (Cohen's d = 0.8) indicates that this approach has a significant impact on student learning outcomes, particularly in developing higher-order thinking skills at levels C4 to C6. This study indicates that integrating a contextual, student-centered STEM-based learning model into chemistry laboratory sessions can enhance conceptual understanding and 21st-century skills. However, limitations such as a small sample size, research location restricted to a single institution, and relatively short treatment duration should be considered when generalizing the study's findings. Further research with a longitudinal design and a broader sample scope is highly recommended.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains (KPS) merupakan kompetensi fundamental yang perlu dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran fisika. Observasi awal di salah satu SMAN di Banda Aceh menunjukkan rendahnya KPS siswa, khususnya pada indikator berhipotesis, mengelompokkan (mengidentifikasi variabel), dan berkomunikasi (menarik kesimpulan), dengan persentase rata-rata 48,4%. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas integrasi media komik dalam pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing untuk meningkatkan ketiga indikator KPS tersebut. Desain penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah one grup pretest-posttest design. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui tes (pretest dan posttest). Soal pretest dan posttest dalam penelitian ini disusun mengacu pada tiga indikator keterampilan proses sains yaitu, berhipotesis, mengelompokkan, dan berkomunikasi. Setelah data terkumpul, data dianalisis menggunakan uji gain. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terjadi peningkatan terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa pada aspek berhipotesis sebesar 0,76 dengan kategori tinggi, mengelompokkan sebesar 0,48 dengan kategori sedang dan berkomunikasi sebesar 0,6 dengan kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa kemampuan berhipotesis, mengelompokkan, dan berkomunikasi dapat ditingkatkan melalui pembelajran inkuiri berbantuan komik.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to investigate the improvement of students' creative thinking skills by implementing STEMC-based project-based learning. This study consisted of 52 students of class X science at SMAN 3 Langsa. Creative thinking ability was assessed through pretest-posttest which was tested using statistically paired sample t-test and N-gain test. The results of the study stated that the application of the STEMC-based PjBL model on electrolyte and nonelectrolyte materials had increased creative thinking skills at a significant level of 0.000, indicating a sig value <0.05 and the results of the N-gain calculation were 0.8 in the high category. The results of the analysis showed that there were differences in the improvement of creative thinking skills before and after the application of the STEMC-based PjBL model. The results of the N-gain of each indicator of creative thinking ability, namely 0.47 elaboration are classified in the medium category, while flexibility, fluency and originality with N-gain results of 0.97, 0.87, and 0.8 are classified in the high category

Abstract

This systematic literature review examines the implementation of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) in chemistry education in the post-pandemic learning context, with particular relevance to the advancement of Sustainable Development Goal 4 (SDG 4) on quality education. The study aims to identify how TPACK has been implemented in chemistry learning and to analyze its effectiveness and efficiency. The review followed PRISMA guidelines and analyzed eight empirical articles published between 2022 and 2024 from Garuda, ERIC, Taylor & Francis Online, and ScienceDirect. The findings show that TPACK implementation in chemistry education mainly involves the integration of technological, pedagogical, and content knowledge through digital tools such as simulations, web-based learning, flipped learning, and virtual platforms. Most studies focused on pre-service and in-service chemistry teachers, emphasizing the development of TPACK competencies and technology-supported instructional practices. The review indicates that TPACK contributes to more interactive, flexible, and meaningful chemistry learning, particularly in explaining abstract chemical concepts and improving student engagement and learning performance. In conclusion, TPACK plays an important role in supporting quality chemistry education and may contribute to the advancement of SDG 4, provided that its implementation is supported by adequate infrastructure, continuous professional development, and institutional commitment.

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di Desa Seuneubok Baro, Kecamatan Manyak Payed, Kabupaten Aceh Tamiang, untuk mengatasi keterbatasan akses terhadap obat-obatan esensial dan peningkatan risiko kesehatan di kalangan masyarakat yang terdampak banjir. Kondisi lingkungan pasca banjir seringkali menyebabkan munculnya penyakit umum seperti demam, diare, infeksi saluran pernapasan, dan penyakit kulit, sementara akses terhadap layanan kesehatan dasar menjadi terbatas. Oleh karena itu, program ini mengusulkan pengadaan dan distribusi obat-obatan esensial sebagai intervensi strategis untuk mengurangi dampak kesehatan. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah untuk menyediakan obat-obatan esensial berdasarkan kebutuhan masyarakat dan memastikan distribusinya yang efektif dan tepat sasaran. Metode yang digunakan melibatkan beberapa tahapan, termasuk koordinasi dengan pemangku kepentingan lokal, identifikasi kebutuhan kesehatan masyarakat, pengadaan obat-obatan, dan distribusi langsung dengan dukungan tenaga kesehatan dan pemerintah desa. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa program tersebut berhasil dilaksanakan, dengan obat-obatan didistribusikan secara terorganisir dan tepat sasaran, berkontribusi pada peningkatan akses terhadap layanan kesehatan dasar dan mencegah memburuknya kondisi kesehatan. Kesimpulannya, program ini secara efektif mendukung mitigasi kesehatan pasca bencana dan pemulihan masyarakat melalui intervensi kolaboratif dan responsif.
