Abstract

Different electrode materials give big influence on the machining process. Some electrode will eliminate workpiece efficiently but that give a high wear of electrode, the others electrode have a low wear but ability to eliminate materials of workpieces are very low. Taguchi Method is method in engineering to improves the process of different workpiece characteristics and can reduce the cost and resources to a minimum. In this study, the experimental design used is the experimental design of Taguchi with Orthogonal Array design, analysis Signal to Noise Ratio to determine the factors that affect the wear of electrodes, and analysis of variance. The results of the discussion on the analysis of the Taguchi experimental design method in Process Parameters Using EDM In Identifying Electrode Wear is obtained decisive steps orthogonal matrix, analysis of the characteristics of the proposed design smaller the better quality types to determine the value of SNR, determine the value of the effect of each replication in each of the factors that affect the wear of electrodes, Variance analysis performed to interpret the experimental data to determine the EDM process parameters electrodes Optimum wear.

Abstract

In recent days, the bread and cake for most Indonesian people have been used as a meal replacement or substitute for the staple food. Required good planning and management in order to meet the customer demand, the customer fulfillment both in quantity and in quality, especially in the operational management of production processes. These activities aimed to assist the partners in developing their business. The methods and procedures applied in the first stage is to survey the problems of the partners, the second stage of the design and analysis of alternative dispute resolution solutions partners. Furthermore, the third phase-grant program implemented as a solution to the problems faced by each partner. Service activities has been giving grants to the first partner in the form of mixer machine, oven, counter display case and the second partner giving grant heating chocolate machine and repair mixer machine with a capacity of 9 Kg. Besides the two partners are also given training related to maintenance machinery and entrepreneurship. This service activities have an impact on first partner is number of asset’s increased up to 2.7-fold, speeds production increased by two times and followed by an increasing number of customers, and product sale also increased by two times compared to the previous. While in both partners, this event has helped to produce the information concerning the identification of base problems so that it can be used as a reference for improved planning and management development efforts.

Abstract

3D printing is manufacturing process technology that is widely developed to make a rapid prototype according to the desired design, one of which is FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) technology. The type of filament used in this study was filament PLA food grade. This study aims to obtain optimal parameters for FDM 3D printing machines in terms of dimensional accuracy. The method used in this process parameter optimization research is the Taguchi L27 OA method. The process parameters used are nozzle temperature, layer thickness, print speed, infill rate, and temperature based plate. The results of research that have been conducted show the optimal process parameter values ??for dimensional accuracy of the specimen height was nozzle temperature (185°C), layer thickness (0,20mm), print speed (40mm/s), infill rate (8%), and temperature based plate (40°C) .

Abstract

The rate of transportation development in Indonesia faces a significant increase. However, the increase in transportation rates is not in line with the increase in residents, especially for people with disabilities. One form of discrimination against people with disabilities is the lack of accessible transportation equipment for wheelchair users. The lack of service facilities makes people with disabilities feel insecure. The lack of facilities provided makes people with disabilities choose to use individual vehicles to continue activities like normal people. The purpose of the research on providing transportation facilities for people with leg disabilities is very much needed in carrying out daily activities easily and without obstacles. The design of a wheelchair user disability vehicle uses the VDI 2222 design method with 4 stages, namely planning, conceptualizing, designing, and completing. From the conceptualization session, 3 design concept variations were generated which were then assessed based on technical and economical aspects. From the test results that were tested, the average speed that can be reached by this wheelchair user disability vehicle is 30 kilometers / hour.
