Abstract

The natural sweetener from Stevia rebaudiana Bertoni, steviol glycoside (SG), has been proposed to exhibit various antidiabetic properties. This low-calorie artificial sweetener is claimed to be a safe sweetener and is recommended for use by diabetes sufferers because it does not affect the patient's blood glucose levels after consumption. The aim of this literature-based review is to synthesize the available scientific information regarding steviol glycosides as natural sweeteners and molecules with therapeutic potential. Additionally, it also addresses safety issues related to human consumption. Steviol glycosides exhibit superior sweetening properties compared to sucrose and are noncaloric, noncariogenic, and nonfermentative. Method: data sources from journals were obtained through electronic database searches in PubMed, ResearchGate, Google Scholar, EMBASE and full text bibliography. Conclusion Evidence from published RCTs shows that Steviol glycosides can reduce blood pressure and fasting blood sugar. The magnitude of the impact is small, and large heterogeneity limits the strength of any impact. Keywords: Stevia; Effect, Steviol glycoside; Type 2 diabetes; Blood sugar.

Abstract

Previous research used used cooking oil as a handsoap which has a strong inhibition of bacterial growth but still causes dry and slightly itchy skin, so this research was perfected by adding olive oil as a base. The problem is, which formulations of used cooking oil and olive oil in handsoap can inhibit bacterial growth and moisturize the skin, as well as their quality against organoleptic tests, irritation, and high foam. The purpose of this study was to determine the formulation of handsoap which has strong antibacterial properties, moisturizes the skin, and determines its quality against organoleptic tests, irritation, and high foaming. The composition of used cooking oil and olive oil used was 125 gr : 125 gr (Formula 1), 150 gr : 100 gr (Formula 2), 175 gr : 75 gr (Formula 3), and 200 gr : 50 gr (Formula 4). The making of this handsoap uses an experimental method. Testing the zone of inhibition of bacterial growth used the in vitro method, organoleptic testing was done through descriptive tests, and testing for PH, Irritability, and Foam Height was through descriptive tests using observational analytic methods. The results of this study are that this handsoap has a strong ability to inhibit bacterial growth, can moisturize the skin, is not irritated, and has a lot of foam, but has a large PH which is not in accordance with SNI so that it cannot be used by the public

Abstract

Abstract

The majority of the residents of Barabatu village in Labbakkang District, Pangkep, are farmers. The farmers' income is heavily dependent on their harvests, which causes the village's economy to rely significantly on the harvest seasons. Therefore, additional income is needed to improve the welfare of Barabatu villagers. Citronella plants grow abundantly in the residents' yards, and there are productive citronella plantations developed by members of the religious study group, which have great potential for creating disinfectant products from citronella to support the local economy. Citronella has antimicrobial and antifungal properties, making it effective and safe for use as a floor cleaner. The aim of this community service program (PKM) is to enhance the creativity and productivity of Barabatu villagers. Furthermore, it is hoped that through this PKM activity, residents will acquire skills in making citronella disinfectant, which can be developed into a small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) to support their economy. In the production of disinfectant from citronella, the method used by the PKM team from FTI-UMI involves presenting materials on the ingredients and the process of making citronella disinfectant. This is followed by practical sessions involving farmer groups and the women of the religious study group. The final stage includes evaluating and monitoring the PKM activities conducted in Barabatu village. As a result of the PKM activities, the community, especially members of the religious study group, have become skilled in making citronella disinfectant. Additionally, they have gained knowledge about the benefits of natural ingredients available in their surroundings that can be used for disinfectant production. Following the training, the community is able to develop floor disinfectants with various aromas using essential oils from different types of plants found in Barabatu village. Consequently, the residents of Barabatu village can establish disinfectant production as an SME, providing additional income for the villagers. The PKM activities in Barabatu village have had a positive impact on the residents' economic lives through the guidance of the religious study group members. This activity encourages the community to increase their creativity and fosters an entrepreneurial spirit among the villagers of Barabatu.

Abstract

This study discusses the measurement of the quality of motor vehicle tax of information system services at the SAMSAT Kolaka office using the servqual method by emphasizing the five dimensions of servqual namely Tangibles, Reliability, Responsiveness, Assurance and empathy. This study aims to understand the level of user satisfaction by comparing expectations and expectations and updating the standards provided by SAMSAT Kolaka through the application of the SIZ application. Data collection activities were carried out by distributing 100 questionnaires to all SIZ service users. The results of this study indicate that the use of SIZ is not by customer needs; this can be demonstrated by the high value of the gap between expectations and perceptions. The Assurance dimension obtaining the most top difference is the Tangibles dimension indicating that the limitations of the IT facilities used are still limited. It is evidenced by the continued complaints of customers regarding queue buildup due to a system that suddenly goes down while the service is in progress. It is necessary to improve IT infrastructure that can improve customer satisfaction in the future.
