Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of parenting styles on the learning motivation of Grade X students at SMK Diponegoro. The parenting styles examined in this study are based on Diana Baumrind’s (1966) theory, which includes authoritarian, authoritative (democratic), and permissive parenting styles. The research method used is quantitative with a simple linear regression approach. The sample consisted of 102 students selected through purposive sampling. The results showed that parenting styles significantly influence students’ learning motivation. The regression analysis revealed an R Square value of 0.932, indicating that 93.2% of the variation in learning motivation can be explained by parenting styles. Among the three types of parenting analyzed, the authoritative (democratic) style had the most dominant and significant influence on students’ motivation. In contrast, authoritarian and permissive parenting styles did not show significant effects. These findings align with Baumrind’s theory, which suggests that the authoritative parenting style balancing control and warmth tends to encourage children to be independent and motivated in learning.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui signifikansi pengaruh kontrol diri terhadap kebiasaan belajar siswa SMK Pancasila 8 slogohimo di Slogohimo Kecamatan Slogohimo Kabupaten Wonogiri. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 118 orang, sampel diambil dengan menggunakan teknik sampel random sempling sebanyak 35 siswa. Teknik pengumulan data menggunakan pada penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner kontrol diri berdasarkan teori Averil (Thalib, 2010) dan kuesioner kebiasaan belajar berdasarkan teori Nana Sudjana (Maulidya Nina Rakhmanti, 2014). Teknik analisis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik analisis regresi linier sederhana dengan bantuan aplikasi SPSS for Windows Release 20.0. Hasil analisis pengaruh kontrol diri terhadap kebiasaan belajar siswa SMK Pancasila 8 Slogohimo di Slogohimo Kecamatan Slogohimo Kabupaten Wonogiri memperoleh hasil Fhitung sebesar 51.077 dengan sig. = 0,000. Oleh karena itu nilai nilai sig. < 0,05 maka Ho (ρ = 0) ditolak yang artinya kontrol diri memiliki pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kebiasaan belajar. Hasil analisis juga menunjukkan bahwa kontrol diri siswa SMK Pacasila 8 Slogohimo sebesar 57,8 % dipengaruhi oleh variabel kebiasaan belajar dan sisanya 42,2 % dipengaruhi variabel lain yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to determine the significance of the influence of the use of online games on the emotional intelligence of class XI adolescent students at SMK Negeri 2 Salatiga. This research is a causal comparative research with data analysis techniques using simple linear regression and an instrument in the form of a questionnaire. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on online game playing behavior on students' emotional intelligence with the contribution of the online game playing behavior variable (X) to students' emotional intelligence (Y) amounting to 54.2%, the remainder (45.8%) comes from from other variables not examined in this study, then tcount is greater than ttable, namely 10.870 > 3.390 and the significance value of t is less than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05) and significance coefficient 0.000 < 0.050.

Abstract

In life, everyone must of course recognize and know their true identity. After recognizing and knowing about one's identity, humans will know the abilities they possess. This ability is what humans will use to develop and continue their lives, especially in terms of work or career. Choosing a career is a very crucial decision in life, because if the choice is not appropriate it will have a bad impact on life. Therefore, career selection must be based on personality type. This research was conducted with the aim of finding out the significance of the relationship between personality type and career choices of class X students at SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga. The subjects in this research were class X students of SMK Negeri 1 Salatiga, totaling 205 respondents who were used as samples. The data collection method used is using questionnaires. The analysis technique used is the Contingency Coefficient with the help of the SPSS application. 20. Based on the research results showing that there is a significant relationship between Personality Type and Career Choice, it can be proven by the Asimp.Sig value of 0.000 < 0.05, it can be concluded that H1 is accepted. This can also be interpreted that a person's personality type has a correlation with a person's career choice. The approximate significance (P-Value) value of 0.000 is smaller than 0.05 (0.000 < 0.05), so it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between Personality Type and students' Career Choices. The correlation value obtained is 0.569, which means that the strength of the relationship between personality type and career choice is sufficient.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the significance of the influence of self-control on juvenile delinquency in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tengaran. This type of research is quantitative research with a causal comparative method. The population in this study was class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tengaran, totaling 292. The sample used was the Isaac and Michael table with an error rate of 5%, so the sample taken was 158. The sampling technique used in this research was simple random. sampling. The data collection technique used was the Likert scale (self-control scale and juvenile delinquency scale). The data analysis technique used is the simple linear regression analysis method. The results of the research show that there is a significant influence between self-control on juvenile delinquency in class VIII students at SMP Negeri 2 Tengaran. This is proven by the results of the F-count > F-table (14,721 > 3.90) and the significance value of 0.000 < 0.05, which means that self-control has a significant influence on juvenile delinquency. Based on these results, (H1) is accepted and Ho is rejected.

Abstract

Career introduction is an essential first step in the career planning process for students. This study aims to develop an engaging and user-friendly quartet card game as a career introduction tool for elementary school students. The research follows the Research and Development (R&D) methodology. The study resulted in a career card game designed to introduce career concepts to elementary students. The media expert evaluation scored the game 100, categorizing it as 'excellent,' while the material expert evaluation scored 84, categorizing it as 'good.' Additionally, limited trials showed that before the intervention, 28.18% of students had a 'low' level of career introduction, whereas after the intervention, 95.46% reached a 'very high' level. Based on these findings, the career card game is concluded to be an effective tool for supporting career introduction in elementary schools.

Abstract

Kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik sangat mengganggu proses belajar dan berpengaruh terhadap keberhasilan belajar hingga perolehan prestasinya menjadi tidak optimal. Oleh karena itu, permasalahan peserta didik dalam belajar di SD perlu dibantu oleh guru kelas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang pelaksanaan diagnostik kesulitan belajar yang dilakukan guru, mata pelajaran yang dirasa sulit oleh peserta didik, jenis kesulitan belajar yang dialami oleh peserta didik, instrumen yang digunakan oleh guru dalam melakukan diagnosis kesulitan belajar, hambatan-hambatan yang dihadapi oleh guru dalam melakukan diagnosis kesulitan belajar, dan tindakan-tindakan guru dalam mengatasi kesulitan belajar peserta didik. Penelitian ini berupa penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Subjek dalam penelitian adalah 23 guru SD yang tersebar di empat (4) kecamatan kota Salatiga, baik SD negeri maupun swasta. Variabel dalam penelitian ini adalah pelaksanaan diagnosis kesulitan belajar peserta didik yang dilakukan guru pada peserta didik di SD. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa survey untuk pengumpulan data tentang pelaksanaan diagnosis kesulitan belajar peserta didik SD di kota Salatiga menggunakan angket dan wawancara untuk mengumpulkan data sebagai pelengkap data dari angket. Teknik analisis yang digunakan berupa analisis deskriptif kualitatif mengenai data yang sudah dikumpulkan melalui angket dan wawancara. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa semua guru yang menjadi subjek penelitian melakukan diagnostik kesulitan belajar. Di setiap sekolah selalu ada peserta didik yang mengalami kesulitan belajar. Kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik lebih banyak yang berhubungan dengan kegiatan akademik. Instrumen yang digunakan guru dalam melakukan diagnostik kesulitan belajar pada umumnya guru menggunakan observasi dan tes hasil belajar, serta panduan wawancara. Pelaksanaan dianostik kesulitan belajar pada umumnya (dominan) dilakukan guru pada akhir pembelajaran, Kesulitan belajar yang dialami peserta didik di SD pada umumnya berupa mata pelajaran matematika dan Bahasa Indonesia. Dalam proses diagnostik kesulitan belajar, hampir semua guru melakukan identifikasi peserta didik yang diperkirakan mengalami kesulitan belajar, dan melakukan penentuan faktor faktor penyebab kesulitan belajar peserta didiknya. Bantuan yang dilakukan guru untuk menangani kesulitan belajar peserta didik pada umumnya berupa pendampingan belajar peserta didik dan memberi tambahan waktu belajar (les) pada peserta didik, serta memberi saran atau rujukan pada orangtua untuk berkonsultasi orang yang lebih ahli. Hambatan yang dihadapi guru dalam kesulitan belajar peserta didik yang paling banyak ditemui adalah guru merasa instrumen diagnostik kesulitan belajar peserta didik tidak tersedia secara lengkap, dan guru kelas merasa belum terampil menggunakan instrumen untuk mendiagnostik kesulitan belajar peserta didik Kata Kunci: Diagnostik Kesulitan Belajar

Abstract

This study aims to develop a website-based short story medium with the theme of culture shock to support the self-adjustment process of overseas students. The story presents emotional and psychological challenges commonly experienced by students when transitioning and adapting to a new cultural environment. The research employs the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) to design a digital short story that is easily accessible and relevant to the target audience. Validation by guidance and counseling experts confirmed that the media is highly feasible for use in educational and counseling services. Student evaluations showed very positive responses and supported greater understanding and self-acceptance in facing cultural transitions. This digital short story media serves as an innovative, inspiring, and practical educational alternative in character education and guidance services.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between the level of fanaticism and consumptive behavior among members of the JKT48 fan community Benerpitu48 in Salatiga. The research employed a quantitative correlational approach with 85 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The research instruments consisted of a fanaticism scale (modified from Chung et al., 2005) and a consumptive behavior scale (adapted from Engel et al., 1994). Data were analyzed using Kendall’s tau_b test. The results showed that most respondents had high to very high levels of fanaticism, while the majority demonstrated low consumptive behavior. The correlation test produced a value of r = –0.421 with p < 0,01, indicating a significant negative relationship of moderate strength. These findings suggest that the higher the level of fanaticism, the lower the consumptive behavior of community members. This differs from previous studies stating that fanaticism triggers consumptive tendencies, leading to the conclusion that fanaticism in this community context functions as a protective factor.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of learning independence on the academic achievement of eleventh-grade students at SMK PGRI 1 Salatiga. Learning independence is considered an important internal factor that supports students in managing their learning process effectively, including regulating learning strategies, managing time efficiently, and taking responsibility for academic tasks. This research employed a quantitative approach using a simple linear regression design. The population consisted of all eleventh-grade students of SMK PGRI 1 Salatiga in the 2024/2025 academic year totaling 30 students, and the sampling technique used was total sampling, meaning that all members of the population were included as research participants. Data on learning independence were collected using a questionnaire, while academic achievement data were obtained from students’ academic scores documented by the school. The results of the study indicate that learning independence has a significant positive effect on students’ academic achievement, with a significance value of 0.003 (p < 0.05). The coefficient of determination shows that learning independence contributes 26.6% to students’ academic achievement, while the remaining 73.4% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study. These findings indicate that students with higher levels of learning independence tend to achieve better academic performance, therefore teachers and schools need to encourage the development of students’ learning independence to improve academic success.
