Abstract

Abstract - The need for airplanes is increasing every day, this is due to the increasing number of passengers and cargo shipments from one area to another. Therefore, airlines need to provide optimal, safe, and efficient cargo and passenger transportation services so that the delivery of goods and passengers can run according to correct procedures. Opportunities in the business of transporting passengers and shipping cargo must be utilized properly by each airline by purchasing planes so that the shipping process from one area to another can quickly arrive at its destination. The purpose of this paper is to find the optimum value of the two aircraft between the Boeing 787-8 and the Airbus 330-900 in terms of the effect on the range, operational costs and to find out which aircraft is more profitable for operating costs on the Jakarta - Dubai route, using linear optimization. programming. Based on the results of the analysis that the optimum point for the calculation of linear programming optimization, the Boeing 787-8 aircraft obtained results (Max payload 41,075 kg, Fuel 6,657 kg, Max Fuel 101,323 kg) where these three results become a limitation for airlines to know the maximum usage of payload and fuel compared Airbus 330-900 aircraft obtained results at the point (Max payload 45,000 kg, Fuel 4,728 kg, Max Fuel 111,272 kg) so that the optimization results are obtained, for Boeing 787-8 aircraft with a max payload of 41,075 kg, max pax 359, max cargo 15,945 kg , compared to Airbus 330-900 with a max payload of 45,000 kg, max pax 460, max cargo 12,800 kg, so it can be concluded that the results of linear programming optimization and the calculation of the operational costs of the Boeing 787-8 aircraft are more optimal with a figure of Rp. 1,541,334,803.96 but in terms of revenue the Airbus 330-900 is bigger than the Boeing 787-8.

Abstract

Air Conditioning (AC) is the one of system in aircraft to make a passanger and all cabin crew comfortable. Trim Air Pressure Regulating and Shutoff Valve or also known as Trim Air PRSOV is a component on the Boeing 737-800 aircraft to regulate flow of hot air constantly before entering the aircraft cabin. Refering to the data for the last 6 years, the replacement of the component belonging to one of the Indonesian national flight carrier using Boeing 737-800 aircraft was the occurance of 84 times the cooling system failure which caused the light indiacator in the cockpit to light up. Among them happened 70 times unscheduled maintenance and 14 times scheduled maintenance. Thus, this essay was made to analyze the causes of the damage that occurred to the Trim Air PRSOV. The method used in this research is Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) is the technique used to find, identify and eliminate failures or damage to a system or process. The first step is to analyze using a Pareto diagram and then continue with the FMEA method so that an analysis of the damage that often occurs is damage to the diaphragm with 42% damage with an RPN value of 389.1, erosion on the ring seal with 22% damage with an RPN value of 376 and shaft seal damaged with 12% damage with an RPN value of 295.1 for it requires aggressive treatment. Therefore, repairs with a long TAT of 14 days are expected to increase the reliability of the PRSOV Trim Pressure component. For this reason, repairs are carried out with a long TAT of 14 days, it is hoped that there will be an increase in the reliability of the PRSOV Trim Pressure componen.

Abstract

Wind Tunnel adalah alat yang digunakan dalam penelitian aerodinamika untuk mempelajari karakteristik aliran udara. Wind Tunnel digunakan untuk mensimulasikan keadaan sebenarnya pada suatu benda yang berada dalam pengaruh gaya-gaya aerodinamika dalam bidang aeronautika, untuk menganalisis kinerja mekanika terbang (flight mechanic) dari suatu benda terbang (aerial vehicle). Wind Tunnel juga banyak digunakan dalam pengujian berbagai kondisi benda dalam aliran udara seperti konstruksi gedung pencakar langit, lingkungan perkotaan dan lain-lain. Tipe fan yang di gunakan adalah axial fan direct dengan ukuran 40 inch (101,6 cm) dimana nilai minimal air volume yang diperlukan pada bagian test section minimum sebesar 38986.36 CMH dan di butuhkan daya sebesar 13,18 KW. Abstract

Aircaft are the most popular means of transportation in the delivery of goods from one area to another. These things can be inaminate objects or living things. Goods transported to the cargo area can be a trigger for damage to the cargo area of the Airbus 330 aircraft, such as spilling fluid from the cargo packaging and the loading process or unloading cargo can cause corrosion in the cargo areaRoller track cargo compartment is one part of the aircraft that is susceptible to corrosion. In aircraft maintenance manual there is no step to apply coating application, where it is known that the coating is one of the protective coatings of a metal to overcome the attack from corrosion. The trial of coating application on the A330-200-200/300 roller track compartment roller track model was conducted for 1670 hours to determine the comparison of roller track corrosion rate values given the av15 adrox protective coating with roller tracks that were not given the av15 adrox protective coating. The test results obtained that the average value of corrosion rate of roller track models with coating coating layers is 0.1505 and without coating layer which is 0.4045 mmpy with coating usage efficiency of 62.7%. So it can be concluded that the application of coating on roller track cargo compartment is effective in inhibiting corrosion rate.

Abstract

Mata pelajaran fisika di Sekolah Menengah Atas (SMA) membutuhkan praktikum untuk meningkatkan pemahaman siswa tentang konsep teori fisika dan aplikasinya, akan tetapi terdapat beberapa hambatan diantaranya butuh contoh konkret, keterbatasan laboratorium, keterbatasan alat dan bahan praktikum, alokasi waktu yang terbatas, dan pelaksanaan praktikum yang jarang. Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PkM) oleh Fakultas Teknologi Kedirgantaraan Universitas Dirgantara Marsekal Suryadarma dilaksanakan dari tanggal 29 November 2022 sampai dengan 19 Januari 2023 dalam bentuk praktikum fisika ke Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Sahid Bogor, SMA Bintara Depok, SMAK Ign. Slamet Riyadi Jakarta, dan SMAN 109 Jakarta. PkM ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan teknologi penerbangan dan menawarkan solusi beberapa hambatan tersebut. Kegiatan dilaksanakan dalam 8 (delapan) sesi praktikum dengan tiap sesi terdiri dari 10 (sepuluh) modul dan tiap kelompok siswa bergiliran melaksanakan praktikum yang dipandu oleh dosen dan mahasiswa. Hasil PkM ini menunjukkan bahwa tim pelaksana melalui kegiatan PkM berhasil memberi pengalaman praktikum kepada 259 peserta sebanyak 5-8 modul dalam waktu 90-120 menit dan mendorong ketertarikan 63% peserta pada praktikum fisika. Modul dengan alat praktikum sederhana dan cara penyampaian yang menarik terbukti mudah dipahami oleh siswa meskipun masih perlu pengembangan dengan penambahan waktu dan jenis modul serta pengaturan pergantian antar kelompok yang lebih baik.Physics subject in senior high school requires practicum to increase students' understanding of the theoretical concepts of physics and their applications, but there are several obstacles including the need for concrete examples, limited laboratories, lack of practicum tools and materials, limited time allocation, and a rare practicum implementation. Community service by the Faculty of Aerospace Technology Marshal Suryadarma University was carried out from 29 November 2022 to 19 January 2023 in the form of physics practicum at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Sahid Bogor, SMA Bintara Depok, SMAK Ign. Slamet Riyadi Jakarta, and SMAN 109 Jakarta aim to introduce aviation technology and offer solutions to some of these obstacles. The activity was carried out in 8 practicum sessions with each session consisting of 10 modules and each group of students took turns carrying out practicums guided by lecturers and students. The results of this PkM show that the implementing team, through PkM activities, succeeded in providing practical experience to 259 participants with 5-8 modules in 90-120 minutes and encouraging 63% of participants' interest in physics practicum. Modules with simple practicum tools and interesting delivery methods are proven to be easy for students to understand, although they still need development by addition of time and types of modules as well as better arrangements for switching between groups.

Abstract

From January 1, 2021 to June 30, 2021, the AIRBUS A330-200/300 aircraft belonging to PT Garuda Indonesia has experienced 36 cases of damage to the business class seat. These cases most often occur due to external factors on the seat. often damaged by crew of flight attendants as well as technicians working. In the study that discussed the factors that caused the failure of the recline mechanism on the B/E Aerospace Minipod Seat and B/E Aerospace MCX Diamond Seat, then aimed at finding a comparison of reliability and cost benefits with the fishbone method. From the results of the study, it was found that the reliability score obtained with the MAREP rate on the B/E Aerospace Minipod seat was 5.798/1000FH and the B/E Aerospace MCX Diamond seat was 5.551/1000FH. As for the maintenance costs, the results obtained on the B/E Aerospace Minipod require a total cost of US$ 9,587.59 with an average maintenance seat price of US$ 24.21/seat and B/E Aerospace MCX Diamond is US$ 5,134.24 with an average treatment seat of US$ 53.48/seat in beetwen 6 months.

Abstract

Information on weather conditions is needed to support flight safety, especially in the process take-off. One of the required weather information is wind data, wind direction and wind speed. One of the wind components is the tailwind(wind from behind). In the small airports it can only be visited by aircraft such as ATR72 and its kind, due to the limited availability of runways and currently many of these airports are still using landing and take-off in the direction of thewind. This can result in a lack of lift during take-off during the tailwind conditions. To prevent this from happening, there is a reduction in the capacity of the aircraft. The purpose of this study was to analyze the performance of the ATR72 aircraft during take-off with tailwind conditions. By calculating the takeoff under normal conditions on the ATR72 aircraft then varying the tailwind speed. The results obtained are the value of the ground roll distance  (????????) and the reduction in aircraft weight (????) at the time of tailwind. a speed tailwind of 0 or normal, obtained a distance of ground roll 849 m, take-off weight of 20948 kg, reduction in aircraft weight of 0. Speed tailwind of 5 kts, distance of ground roll 773 m, take-off weight of 20333 kg, reduction in aircraft weight of 615 kg, while speed of tailwind 10 kts obtained distance of ground roll 697 m, take-off weight of 19308 kg, reduction in aircraft weight of 1640 kg, and speedtailwind of 15 kts, distance of ground roll 621 m, take-off weight of 18225 kg, was obtained. reduction in aircraft weight by 2723 kg.

Abstract

Merpati Maintenance Facility (MMF) didirikan pada tahun 1991 di Bandara Juanda, Sidoarjo, Jawa Timur yang di awal pengoperasiannya sebagai strategic business unit dari PT Merpati Nusantara Airlines (Persero). PT Merpati Maintenance Facility (PT MMF) adalah perusahaan tersendiri yang bergerak di bidang jasa pelayanan perawatan dan perbaikan pesawat. Mayoritas pesawat yang ditangani oleh perusahaan ini adalah pesawat Boeing 737. Boeing 737 adalah pesawat dengan mesin ganda yang dirancang untuk beroperasi dalam jarak pendek hingga menengah. Untuk itu juga diperlukannya perawatan untuk tetap menjaga performa pesawat tetap dalam kondisi baik. Untuk menunjang perawatan yang baik terdapat unit Ground Support Equipment (GSE) yang berada di hanggar untuk menunjang fasilitas seperti tools and equipment yang digunakanengineer untuk berlangsungnya perawatan. Salah satu tools yang disediakan oleh GSE berupa Trestle Jack. Penggunaan Trestle Jack sendiri diperlukan pada saat melakukan overhaul pada pesawat yang sudah lama parkir, landing gear test, remove dan install landing gear, dan juga untuk servis pada wheel, tire dan brake. Tujuan dari adanya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui metode serta biaya perawatan untuk pemeliharaan, serta penanganan kerusakan pada Trestle Jack, dimana metode yang digunakan adalah dengan pemeriksaan visual dan non visual. Biaya yang dikeluarkan untuk perawatan Trestle Jack terhitung dari biaya consumable items yang dibeli khusus untuk Trestle Jack yang berkisar Rp10.318.000, dan ada juga biaya tambahan sebesar Rp510.000 untuk perawatan interval 18 bulan. Kerusakan yang ditemukan pada Trestle Jack saat sedang digunakan untuk perawatan diatasi dengan mengganti sementara Trestle Jack dengan aircraft jack

Abstract

PT X is an airline company that serves many flights in Eastern Indonesia. In order to expedite the flight schedule and maintenance system, PT X must have an adequate supply of spare parts, one of the most important spare parts in the aircraft maintenance process is the aircraft brakes. This research aims to determine the control of brake spare part inventory at PT X will be compared with brake spare part inventory control if using Economic Order Quantity. From the results of calculations that have been carried out between the method applied by the company and the EOQ method, it can be seen that using the EOQ method results are more efficient. From the research results it is known that the procurement of brake spare parts if using the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method is optimal, with a total inventory cost of Rp. 605,336,000, while the total inventory cost incurred by the company according to company policy is Rp. 783,995,000. So the efficiency of savings obtained by the company if using the EOQ method is Rp. 178,695,000 with an ordering frequency of 6 (six) times and each order is by ordering 13 brakes With this EOQ method, you can increase spending efficiency, avoid delays in providing brake spare parts and also avoid running out of stock of brake spare parts, because the supply of spare parts can be guaranteed to be constant and in accordance with lead time

Abstract

Community Service Activities (PKM) carried out by the Aeronautics Engineering Study Program, Air Marshal Suryadarma University use the Aeronautics Mobile Laboratory in the form of physics practicum. PKM aims to increase high school students' interest in physics lessons. The practicum was held at SMA 11 Bekasi on October 31 2023 with the moving student concept, namely a group consisting of 4 students carrying out observations and experiments alternately on 10 choices of physics material related to aeronautics technology (wind tunnel, Coanda effect, venturi pipe, honeycomb structure, paper planes, impacts, hollow plates, pleated structures, resonance, and vibration). Groups of students move from one practical table to another. After the activity, students were given a questionnaire to measure changes in student interest in physics lessons. The questionnaire results showed that the PKM objectives were successful with 81% of participants stating that their interest in physics lessons had increased after participating in the Aeronautics Mobile Laboratory practicum activities. However, improvements still need to be made so that the time allocated for each practical module is sufficient and the participant group can experience all types of practical modules.
