Abstract

This study is a meta-analysis aimed at examining the influence of entrepreneurship education on university students' entrepreneurial intentions. Data were derived from 15 articles published in academic journals between 2019 and 2024, using a descriptive qualitative approach. The findings reveal that entrepreneurship education significantly enhances entrepreneurial intentions by developing entrepreneurial skills, mindsets, and attitudes. Internal factors, such as personal motivation and self-confidence, as well as external factors, such as family support and campus environment, also influence entrepreneurial intentions. Additionally, practice-based learning methods are proven to be more effective than theoretical approaches in fostering entrepreneurial intentions among students. While most studies indicate positive effects, the effectiveness of entrepreneurship education can be influenced by the approaches applied and external support. This study recommends a holistic approach to maximize the impact of entrepreneurship education on students' entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

The culinary business is currently experiencing rapid growth, marked by the emergence of food businesses, both local, national, and internationally recognized brands. One of the food trends that is popular among the millennial generation is fast food. The method used in this study is meta-analysis, which involves analyzing and combining data from 16 journals obtained through Google Scholar that relate to culinary trends among millennials. Consumption of fast food has become a trend among young people, especially millennials, due to its practicality, speed, and modern appeal. The results of this study show that excessive consumption of fast food can lead to various health risks such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, and other degenerative diseases.

Abstract

Domestic Violence (DV) can damage the relationship between parents and children, negatively affecting children's mental health. This study analyzes the impact of DV on children's mental health through a meta-analysis of 15 national journals. The results show that children who are victims of DV often experience anxiety, depression, and difficulties in socializing and learning. The main psychological impacts are anxiety and depression, which can lower self-confidence and affect social relationships. Proper psychological intervention is necessary to reduce these negative effects.

Abstract

Interest in entrepreneurship among students is an important indicator of the success of entrepreneurship education in higher education. This research aims to analyze the relationship between learning motivation, self-confidence, and interest in entrepreneurship among Medan State University Culinary Education students using a quantitative survey method. The research sample consisted of 91 respondents from a total population of 91 culinary education students at Medan State University Stambuk 2022, using a total sampling technique. The data processing method is descriptive statistical analysis and Pearson correlation test. Interest in entrepreneurship among students is an indicator of the success of entrepreneurship education in higher education. This research analyzes the relationship between learning motivation, self-confidence and interest in entrepreneurship in 91 Culinary Education students at Medan State University using a quantitative approach with a questionnaire survey. The results of descriptive analysis show an average of Learning Motivation 35.72 (76.0%), Self-Confidence 34.78 (73.9%), and Entrepreneurial Interest 36.42 (77.5%). Motivation to learn and interest in entrepreneurship are relatively high and consistent, while self-confidence varies more.

Abstract

Penyakit-penyakit infeksi di Indonesia pada umumnya masih cukup tinggi. Salah satu penyakit yang insidennya masih tinggi adalah infeksi cacingan yakni cacing usus yang ditularkan melalui tanah (soil transmitted helminthiasis). Hal ini terjadi mengingat bahwa Indonesia adalah negara agraris dengan tingkat sosial ekonomi, pengetahuan, keadaan sanitasi lingkungan dan hygiene masyarakat masih rendah serta beriklim tropis sehingga sangat memungkinkan untuk terjadinya infeksi dan penularan cacing. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan ibu tentang personal hygiene dengan  kecacingan pada anak usia 6-10 tahun di Klinik Pratama Khadijah. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan total sampling yaitu teknik pengambilan sampel secara keseluruan dari setiap anggota populasi. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh ibu yang datang membawa anaknya berobat di Klinik Pratama Khadijah Tahun 2023.  Sampel dari penelitian ini sebanyak 5 orang dengan menggunakan total sampling. Penelitian data ini dengan menggunakan instrumen berupa kuesioner dan analisis dengan teknik uji statistic chi-square dengan menggunakan SPSS (Statistical Product and Sevice Solution) dengan derajat kemaknaan (α=0,05).

Abstract

[Bahasa]: Prevalensi anemia pada ibu hamil di Desa Tanjung Anom cukup tinggi (38,5%). Pemerintah melalui puskesmas telah berupaya menurunkan prevalensi anemia dengan memberikan tablet Fe  kepada setiap ibu hamil dan diwajibkan untuk mengonsumsi sebanyak minimal 90 tablet selama kehamilan. Namun sebagian besar ibu hamil di Desa Tanjung Anom tidak memiiliki kemandirian dalam mencegah anemia dan mengonsumsi Tablet Fe yang telah diberikan oleh Puskesmas. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemandirian ibu hamil untuk mencegah anemia dengan aplikasi Anvent (Anemia Prevention) di Desa Tanjung Anom Kabupaten Deli Serdang. Metode kegiatan dilakukan dengan tahapan persiapan, sosialisasi, edukasi pencegahan anemia pada ibu hamil, pelatihan penggunaan aplikasi Anvent, evaluasi pengetahuan dan keterampilan ibu hamil. Kegiatan dilakukan di Balai Desa Tanjung Anom pada bulan September sampai Oktober 2024 dan diikuti oleh sebanyak 96 orang ibu hamil. Aplikasi Anvent dibuat dengan tampilan yang menarik dan informatif  dan memiliki 5 menu yaitu : Home, Menu Pangan Lokal, Pantau, Bagan Koordinasi, dan Chat. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang siginifikan pengetahuan ibu hamil tentang anemia dan pencegahannya setelah mengikuti kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Keterampilan ibu hamil dalam menggunakan aplikasi Anvent menunjukkan sebagian besar memiliki kemampuan yang baik. Sebagian besar ibu hamil juga dapat melihat tingkat kepatuhan mereka dalam mengonsumsi tablet Fe pada aplikasi Anvent. Aplikasi ini dapat menjadi solusi yang dapat dimanfaatkan oleh setiap ibu hamil untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang pencegahan anemia dan menjadi alat pemantau dalam tablet Fe. Kata Kunci: anemia, aplikasi Anvent, ibu hamil, pantau, tablet Fe [English]: The prevalence of anemia among pregnant women in Tanjung Anom Village is relatively high at 38.5%. Through the health center, the government has implemented efforts to reduce this prevalence by providing pregnant women with iron tablets (Fe), requiring them to consume at least 90 tablets during pregnancy. However, most pregnant women in the village lack independence in preventing anemia and are inconsistent in consuming the Fe tablets provided. This community service program aims to improve the independence of pregnant women in preventing anemia by using the Anvent (Anemia Prevention) application in Tanjung Anom Village, Deli Serdang Regency. The program was carried out through several stages, including preparation, socialization, education on anemia prevention, training on using the Anvent application, and evaluation of participants’ knowledge and skills. The program was conducted at the Tanjung Anom Village Hall from September to October 2024 and involved 96 pregnant women. The Anvent application was designed to be informative and user-friendly, featuring five menus: Home, Local Food Menu, Monitor, Coordination Chart, and Chat. The program showed a significant increase in the knowledge of pregnant women regarding anemia prevention after their participation. Most participants demonstrated good skills in using the application and were able to monitor their compliance with consuming Fe tablets through Anvent. This application presents a practical and innovative solution for pregnant women to enhance their knowledge of anemia prevention and serves as an effective tool for monitoring Fe tablet consumption. Abstract

Peran perempuan dalam pembangunan ekonomi dan sosial semakin diakui sebagai faktor kunci dalam mencapai pertumbuhan yang berkelanjutan. Di Indonesia, perempuan menghadapi tantangan signifikan dalam mengakses pendidikan, pekerjaan layak, dan peluang ekonomi, terutama di sektor informal. Sektor jasa boga menjadi peluang penting bagi perempuan karena fleksibilitasnya dan keterkaitannya dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. Namun, kurangnya pendidikan keterampilan, keterbatasan akses modal, dan hambatan pemasaran sering menghambat perkembangan perempuan di sektor ini. Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi bagaimana pendidikan keterampilan berwirausaha di sektor jasa boga dapat memberdayakan perempuan secara ekonomi dan sosial. Dengan memberikan keterampilan teknis seperti memasak dan pengolahan makanan, bersama dengan manajemen bisnis, pemasaran digital, dan pengelolaan keuangan, program-program ini sangat penting untuk pengembangan usaha yang berkelanjutan. Penelitian ini juga mengkaji bagaimana kolaborasi antara pemerintah, lembaga pendidikan, dan komunitas lokal dapat menciptakan ekosistem yang mendukung kewirausahaan perempuan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa inisiatif pemberdayaan ini dapat secara signifikan meningkatkan kesejahteraan keluarga perempuan dan berkontribusi pada pembangunan komunitas yang lebih luas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of women's roles in preserving traditional foods in the culinary industry. Traditional food not only serves as a cultural identity but also holds significant economic potential. Women often act as guardians of culinary traditions through their expertise, innovation, and the application of cultural values in production processes. This research employs a qualitative method with a case study approach focusing on several local culinary industry practitioners. The findings reveal that women play a central role in sustaining traditional recipes, enhancing creativity in presentation, and expanding market access through modern marketing strategies. In conclusion, women's contributions to preserving traditional foods positively impact cultural sustainability and the development of the culinary industry. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh peran perempuan dalam melestarikan makanan tradisional di industri kuliner. Makanan tradisional tidak hanya menjadi identitas budaya, tetapi juga memiliki potensi ekonomi yang signifikan. Perempuan sering kali menjadi penjaga tradisi kuliner melalui keahlian, inovasi, dan penerapan nilai-nilai budaya dalam proses produksi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi kasus pada beberapa pelaku industri kuliner lokal. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa perempuan memiliki peran sentral dalam menjaga keberlanjutan resep tradisional, meningkatkan kreativitas dalam penyajian, serta memperluas akses pasar melalui strategi pemasaran modern. Kesimpulannya, kontribusi perempuan dalam pelestarian makanan tradisional berdampak positif terhadap keberlanjutan budaya dan perkembangan industri kuliner.

Abstract

Catcalling or verbal harassment in public spaces is a phenomenon often experienced by women, including female students, which can have a negative impact on their mental health and self-confidence. This study aims to analyze the relationship between catcalling experiences, mental health, and self-confidence in female students of Universitas Negeri Medan (UNIMED). This study used a quantitative approach with a correlational design. The sample consisted of 30 female students selected using a purposive sampling technique. Data were collected through a Likert scale-based questionnaire and analyzed using validity, reliability, normality, Pearson correlation tests, and multiple linear regression. The results showed that catcalling had a significant effect on self-confidence with a Pearson correlation value of 0.687 (p <0.05), which indicated a negative impact, especially on women. In addition, mental health was also shown to significantly affect self-confidence (r count = 0.493, p <0.05), where individuals with good mental health tend to have higher self-confidence. Repeated catcalling significantly decreases mental health, which ultimately has a negative impact on self-confidence. These findings underscore the importance of preventive and intervention efforts to protect female students from catcalling and raise public awareness of its impact. This study provides recommendations for campuses to create a safe environment and support female students' mental well-being and self-confidence.

Abstract

Technology affects the progress of education, where its development has an impact on the learning process including in higher education. Showing the idea or introduction of new things renewal of new discoveries that are different from existing or previously known. one of them is about the existence of electronic-based media used in the learning process. Electronic-based modules or e-modules become media by utilizing technology. Glideapps-based e-modules are an alternative in learning without print media. By innovating teaching media from manual to electronic-based learning resources, this study was conducted to determine the feasibility of e-modules as an alternative teaching material that can support the learning process by utilizing technological advances, because it contains material, images, and videos so that students can easily understand the material. In practice, students are given the freedom to access various things related to learning, including activities in class or laboratory practicum in basic culinary learning. This is the basis that it is very necessary by utilizing this technology to facilitate the course of learning, with glideapps-based e-modules as teaching materials to support practicum in basic food courses. This type of research is a type of development research conducted using the 4-D development model (Define, Design, Develop, and Disseminate). It is known that the results of research on the development of glideapps-based e-module media by obtaining media feasibility from material expert validation got a percentage of 85.80% with a very feasible category, then media expert validation got a percentage of 80.65% with a feasible category, and student responses got a percentage of 93.03% with a very feasible category. Based on the results obtained from this study, it is concluded that the glideapps-based e-module is feasible to use.Keywords: Technology, E-Module, Glideapps, Basic Boga, 4D
