Abstract

Undergraduate students are individuals who experience a transition period that focuses on searching for self-identity. During this transition period, students will experience changes in their behavior, emotions and cognition. This change will affect the mental health status of students. Mental health problems in students are a serious problem to be handled because students' mental health problems are invisible but can have bad consequences if not treated immediately. Negative stigma towards mental health has an impact on students' awareness and initiative to resolve their mental health problems. Students feel embarrassed and think that this mental health problem can heal by itself. In fact, mental health problems will get worse if they are not handled well. The importance of mental health counseling services for students as a medium for early detection of mental health problems. Mental health screening can detect several mental health problems so that existing problems can be prevented and students' mental health status can improve. The role of the academic community is very important to support the existence of mental health counseling services. Moreover, policies and service standards do not yet exist at ITEKES Muhammadiyah West Kalimantan. Thus, this underlies strategic planning activities for mental health services that can be beneficial for students and have an impact on student welfare in maintaining their mental status.

Abstract

China‘s development cannot be denied as a remarkable success since open and reform policy took place in 1978. China has shifted from a centrally-planned to a market- based Economy and has experienced rapid economic and social development. GDP growth has averaged nearly 10 percent a year—the fastest sustained expansion by a major economy in history. During two decades of its reform, numerous policies were implemented in China such as Household Responsibility System (HSR), Township and Village Enterprises (TVEs), and Special Economic Zones (SEZs). These policies have been critical for China‘s rapid development. As China's economic grow, China becomes one of the countries with an economic model that can serve as an example for others. But can a similar development model be applied to another country? This paper tries to examine the developments happening in China during two decades of its reform if it is particular or universal?

Abstract

Forest and land fires in Ogan Komering Ilir (OKI), South Sumatra, continue to pose a persistent environmental challenge. This study examines Indonesia–South Korea cooperation through the Korea–Indonesia Forest Cooperation Center (KIFC), which was established in response to the securitisation of forest fires and has evolved into a model of adaptive governance. By examining KIFC, this article demonstrates that securitization enables international cooperation and technical control, yet simultaneously constrains deeper adaptive governance needed to address local fire drivers. By employing a qualitative case study approach, this research examines KIFC's initiatives from 2015 to 2024, utilizing a combination of document analysis, policy review, and field observations. The findings show that while KIFC introduced advanced monitoring systems and early warning technologies, local economic dependence on land-clearing and fragmented governance remain significant barriers. This study argues that KIFC has succeeded technically but faces challenges in addressing deeper structural issues. The cooperation's success hinges on the alignment of external technical solutions with local socio-economic realities and the fostering of community-based resilience. This study contributes to understanding how international cooperation can bridge the gap between securitization and adaptive governance, offering lessons for future sustainable environmental governance in Indonesia and beyond.
