Abstract

This study investigates the influence of product quality and pricing on customer loyalty, with customer satisfaction acting as a mediating variable in the context of Glad2Glow skincare products. A quantitative approach employing a causal–associative research design was adopted. Data were obtained through structured questionnaires administered to 100 consumers of Glad2Glow products. The data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares–based Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS version 3.0. The findings indicate that both product quality and price exert a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. However, neither product quality nor price demonstrates a significant direct impact on customer loyalty. In contrast, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty and serves as a mediating variable in the relationship between product quality, price, and customer loyalty.

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the effect of ESG performance on financial distress with firm value as a mediating variable among non-financial companies included in the LQ45 Index during the 2021–2025 period. The study employs a quantitative research approach using panel data regression analysis. The sample consists of 16 non-financial companies selected through purposive sampling, resulting in 80 balanced panel observations. ESG performance is measured using ESG scores obtained from Refinitiv Eikon, financial distress is measured using the Ohlson O-Score model, and firm value is proxied by Tobin’s Q. The analysis includes the Common Effect Model (CEM) and mediation analysis using the Sobel test. The findings indicate that ESG performance does not significantly affect financial distress or firm value. In addition, firm value is unable to significantly influence financial distress and does not mediate the relationship between ESG performance and financial distress. Meanwhile, firm size negatively affects financial distress, whereas leverage positively affects financial distress. These findings suggest that ESG implementation among LQ45 companies has not yet been fully translated into stronger market valuation and improved financial resilience. This study contributes to the sustainable finance literature by providing empirical evidence regarding the limited role of ESG performance in reducing financial distress in emerging market contexts. The findings also provide practical implications for managers, investors, and policymakers in strengthening the effectiveness of sustainability practices and long-term corporate financial stability.

Abstract

This study examines the effect of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) performance and Board Gender Diversity on firm value, with corporate reputation proxied by Return on Assets as a moderating variable. The increasing importance of sustainability and governance practices has raised questions regarding their actual contribution to firm value, particularly in emerging markets where investor preferences may differ from developed economies. This study aims to provide empirical evidence on whether ESG and board diversity are valued by the market and whether corporate reputation strengthens these relationships. The research employs a quantitative approach using panel data regression on 57 non-financial firms listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange over the period 2021 to 2024, resulting in 228 firm-year observations. The findings reveal that ESG performance and Board Gender Diversity do not have a significant effect on firm value. In contrast, corporate reputation has a positive and significant effect, indicating that profitability remains a key determinant of market valuation. Furthermore, the moderating effect of corporate reputation is not supported, suggesting that financial performance does not strengthen the relationship between ESG, board diversity, and firm value. These results indicate that investors in emerging markets place greater emphasis on financial outcomes than on sustainability and governance attributes. This study contributes to the literature by highlighting the gap between ESG implementation and market recognition, and suggests that firms need to align sustainability initiatives with financial performance to enhance firm value

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of debt policy, firm size, and profitability on firm value with dividend policy as a moderating variable in consumer non-cyclical subsector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during 2020–2024. Firm value is proxied by Price to Book Value (PBV), debt policy by leverage ratio, firm size by the natural logarithm of total assets, profitability by profit ratio, and dividend policy by Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR). The study uses secondary data from annual financial reports obtained from the official Indonesia Stock Exchange website and applies panel data regression with Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA) using EViews 12. Partial test results show that debt policy has a significant effect on firm value (t = −4.884942; p = 0.0000), profitability has a significant effect (t = 2.925401; p = 0.0042), while firm size is not significant (p = 0.4876). In the moderating model, the interaction between debt policy and dividend policy is significant (t = −3.323214; p = 0.0012), the interaction between firm size and dividend policy is marginally significant (t = 1.918709; p = 0.0578), and the interaction between profitability and dividend policy is not significant (t = −0.278780; p = 0.7810). The simultaneous test indicates the model is significant with an F-statistic of 14.87329. The Adjusted R² value of 0.682 indicates that 68.2% of firm value variation is explained by the variables in the model. These findings confirm that financing structure and profitability serve as important market signals, while dividend policy plays a selective moderating role.
