Abstract

Abstract Resilliency and community independence are two important factors in the pre-disaster phase as it is one of the forms of disaster preparedness. Resilliency was formed from the internal society factors as well as external environmental conditions. This research aim was to find the influence of internal factors on four components of pre-disaster phase. Analysis using Partial Least Square. Result of inner estimation model for direct influence of internal factor to external showed t-statistic value equal to 3,495 (? = 0,05), so there was a significant direct positive influence between internal factor to external. The external factor with the largest loading factor was population protection (0.380). Wheareas the largest factor loading factor internal was experience repetition (0.602). The village authorized credibillity among public processed significant role in relation to the disaster management program. Experience had succeeded in changing public perception of disaster, so that disaster risk reduction program could be well implemented. Programs and activities based on community experiences and government credibillity can be developed in order to reduce disaster vulnerability. Older people often reported chief complaints of itching or pruritus for dermatology problem when they came to the healthcare facility. This complaint was also expressed by the older people who were hospitalized and at nursing home. Eventhough it was only itch, prolonged condition can lead to quality of life degradation. Purpose: This research aimed was to analyze the factors which most influenced the complaint of pruritus in older people who were at nursing home. Factors analyzed were skin water content, skin oil content, and the older people functional ability. Methods: This research was a non-experimental study with a cross-sectional study design. The study was conducted in a nursing home with 30 elderly respondents taken using purposive sampling technique. Itching complaints were assessed using a questionnaire, while water and oil content data were obtained through direct measurements documented in an observational sheet. Data on elderly functional abilities was measured using the Barthel Index. The data obtained was processed using logistic regression to determine the factors which influenced pruritus complaints. Result: In sequence, the variable water content in the skin, oil content in the skin, and the functional ability of the body have a p value of 0.004 (coefficient of influence of -0.129), 0.009 (coefficient of influence of -0.383) and 0.007 (coefficient of influence of -0.721). Conclusion: Water and oil content, also body functional ability sequentially affect the complaints of pruritus revealed by the elderly. Nursing procedures which can be done by nurses to overcome these problems was to pay attention to skin moisture and optimize mobilization so that air circulation in the pores was smoother and skin is not too moist.

Abstract

Backgraund: The elderly must be able to adapt to all the changes that occur in their lives. The ability of the elderly to adapt to life changes can help reduce the Dependency Ratio. Dependency Ratio can be minimized through achieving the independence of life of the elderly. Health condition is one of the factors that is closely related to the ability of the elderly to live independently in their old age. Aim : This study aims to identify the elderly in the independence of their lives in Kelurahan Kasin Peripheral Hospital of Bareng Malang, through the health condition approach Method: Based on the time of this study, it is classified as cross-sectional with elderly respondents aged 60 years and over in Kasin Kelurahan, a total of 142 obtained through the multistage random sampling. The instruments used were IADL, sphygmomanometer, Snellen test, Abbreviated Mentaltest (AMT), Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS), along with questionnaires to identify conditions and the perception of the elderly towards their health conditions. CART is used for the classification of independence of the elderly with the Salfold Predictive Modeller software Results: The classification results showed that 78.2% of the elderly were independent, characterized by having a certain daily diet, having normal hearing function or having an impairment, having better health perception, having musculoskeletal disorders, and not taking drugs. The best sorting based on the value of goodness of split is the daily menu consumed by the elderly 0.1125041, current health perception 0.0813413, hearing function 0.0652887, musculoskeletal disorders 0.0204411, drug consumption 0.0002492. The accuracy value obtained is 69.72%, sensitivity value is 71.17% and specificity value is 64.52% Conclusion :Daily menu consumed by the elderly and current perception of health are variables that contribute to the independence of the elderly based on health conditions, while the use of stairs, daily physical activity, home improvement is a functional capacity that contributes to the independence of the elderly.

Methods: This research is a cross-sectional quantitative research, 63 respondents was taken for each adolescent and productive age. Sampling technique was simple random sampling. The data was collected with 12 questionnaires which were valid and reliable. Result: There was a significant relationship with a positive direction between Predisposing Factors, Enabling Factors and Reinforcing Factors on Covid-19 Prevention Behavior. The dominant factor which influenced the preventive behavior to prevent the spread of Covid 19 in Pandansari was the reinforcing factor where the component in it was accessibility to health services. Conclusion: The role of health workers is very important to prevent the spread of Corona virus infection and improve the community health status.
