Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini, yakni apa saja makna simbolik  dalam prosesi popene’e suku Lauje di Desa Tomini Utara?. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan makna simbolik dalam presesi popene’e suku Lauje di desa Tomini Utara. Pendekatan penelitian ini, yaitu deskriptif kualitatif. Dalam pengumpulan data, peneliti menggunakan metode cakap dengan menggunakan teknik cakap semuka, studi Lapangan (field research) yaitu teknik pengamatan/observasi dan teknik rekam. Selanjutnya, untuk menganalisis data, penulis melalui proses reduksi data (data reduction), pemaparan data (data display) dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis dapat disimpulkan bahwa prosesi popene’e terdapat 8 tahapan dan 1 mantra 8 tahapan prosesi popene’e meliputi: 1) moyambute pangantinge, 2) monimbaluse, mombiase niu kangkai mongkologe, mombiase ayu, 3) monesege longu pensae, 4) mongunjae baki, 5) mongkoni alat tuwahu njopa monja’ange pensae, 6) meepa’anange, 7) momongi do’a salamate dan 8) terakhir mopooto. Kata kunci: makna simbolik, prosesi popene’e, suku Lauje.

Abstract

This research aims at describing the diversity and the function of languages used in the interaction of selling and buying in complex of Palu Plaza, and factor caused the language diversity. Data source were obtained through verbal utterances of seller and buyer in complex of Palu Plaza by using study of communication ethnography. Method used in this research is qualitative descriptive. Data were collected through four techniques: recording, field-note, observation, and interview unstructured. Subject of this research is the seller and the buyer in Palu Plaza. Technique of data analysis used is interactive model that covers four stages: data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion and verification. The result of this research revealed that the language diversity used in the interaction between seller and buyer in Palu Plaza is: (1) the form of word use, (2) the use of phrase, (3) the use of sentence. Functions of language diversity found in this research are: (1) emotive function, (2) fatigue function, and (3) directive function. Factors caused the diversity are: (1) age factor, (2) factor of regional origin, (3) gender factor, (4) education factor, (5) factor of occupation/profession, and (6) factor of social status.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of diction and language style of the song lyric by Didi Kempot. Sources of data obtained from the album Best Campursari, success album Vol.3, and Romantic Javanese. The study, which used in this research, is the overview of Ethnography. The method used was descriptive qualitative method. The data collection is done by two techniques: (1) listen and (2) record. The object of research was the song lyric by Didi Kempot. A data analysis technique in this research was an interactive model. The analysis of the research included four phases, namely: (1) data collection, (2) data reduction, (3) presentation of data, and (4) verification / conclusion. The results showed that the use of diction denotative and connotative that used in song lyric by Didi Kempot more often use denotative meaning, concrete and abstract words used in song lyric by Didi Kempot more often use the word concrete. The results of the study language was contained in a song lyric by Didi Kempot of “ Parangtritis” three kinds of language styles, namely: the personification, redundancy, and assonance, song lyric of “ Layang Kangen“: hyperbole, assonance, and anaphora, song lyric of “Cidro”: hyperbole, litotes, metaphors, personification, and euphemism, song lyric of “Sewu Kuto“: hyperbole, sinekdoke, euphemisms and anaphora, song lyric of “ Janji Palsu “: the personification, euphemism, assonance, and anaphora, and song lyric of “ Ketaman Asmara”: hyperbole and personification. Cultural values contained in the lyrics "Parangtritis": religious and ethical values, lyrics "Stasiun Balapan": religious values, lyrics “Layang Kangen “: religious values, ethical, and aesthetic, lyrics “Cidro“: religious values, lyrics “Sewu Kuto“: religious values and aesthetic, lyrics of “Janji Palsu”: religious values, and lyrics of “Ketaman Asmara”: ethical and aesthetic values.

Abstract

Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana penerapan metode menulis berantai untuk meningkatkan kemempuan menulis puisi siswa kelas V SD. Inpres 1 Talise Palu dan apakah penerapan metode menulis berantai dapat meningkatkan kemempuan menulis puisi siswa kelas V SD Inpres 1 Talise Palu. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan penerapan metode menulis berantai untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi dan meningkatkan hasil menulis puisi siswa kelas V SD Inpres 1 Talise Palu tahun ajaran 2015/2016 melalui penerapan metode menulis berantai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode diskritif. Ada pun data penelitian ini adalah data kuantitatif dan kualitatif.  Data kuantitatif diperoleh melalui hasil evaluasi tes sedangkan data kualitatif diperoleh melalui hasil observasi dengan meggunakan analis presentase. Berdasarkan hasil  penelitian bahwa penggunaan metode menulis berantai dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis puisi siswa kelas V SD Inpres 1 Talise Palu. Hal ini terlihat adanya peningkatan jumlah siswa yang mengalami ketuntasan belajar dari siklus I hingga siklus II yaitu dari nilai rata rata klasikal 14,28% dan kelulusan individu  55,75% pada siluis I meningkat menjadi rata rata  klasikal 95,25%  dan rata rata individu menjadi  80,05% pada siklus II hal ini berarti dari juimlah 21 siswa yang mencapai ketuntasan 20 siswa yang tuntas,  maka penelitian ini dapat dikatakan berhasil atau hipotesis dapat dibuktikan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis bentuk kohesi dan koherensi dalam Artikel Ilmiah Populer Radar Sulteng (AIPRS). Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan Analisis Wacana kritis (AWK) Fairclough dalam menganalisis wacana dalam tiga dimensi, yaitu (1) data linguistik, (2) praktik-praktik diskursif, dan (3) praktik-praktik sosial, melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu: deskripsi, interpretasi, dan eksplanasi. Data dalam penelitian ini berupa data tertulis dalam bentuk dokumen AIPRS. Data diperoleh melalui tiga tahapan, yaitu: orientasi/deskripsi, reduksi/ fokus, dan seleksi. Kemudian, data dianalisis menggunakan model AWK Fairclough, yaitu data linguistik dianalisis melalui kajian bentuk dan makna, dinterpretasikan, dan dieksplanasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat dikemukakan bahwa dalam AIPRS ditemukan bentuk kohesi dan koherensi. Bentuk kohesi terdiri atas, kohesi gramatikal dan leksikal. Penanda kohesi gramatikal, meliputi: referen/pengacuan, substitusi/penyulihan, elipsis/pelesapan, konjungsi/penghubung, dan inversi. Kemudian kohesi leksikal terdiri atas: repetisi/pengulangan, sinonim/kesamaan makna, antonimi/lawan makna, kolokasi/sanding kata, ekuivalensi/kesejajaran. Selain itu, terdapat  penanda koherensi dalam AIPRS yang mencakup: hubungan sebab akibat, hubungan akibat sebab, hubungan sarana hasil, hubungan alasan tindakan, hubungan latar simpulan, hubungan kelonggaran hasil, hubungan perbandingan, hubungan hubungan parafrastis, hubungan adiftif, hubungan identifikasi, hubungan generik-spesifik, hubungan spesifik-generik, hubungan ibarat, dan hubungan argumentatif.

Abstract

Dari uraian penelitian ini, maka rumusan masalah adalah “Bagaimanakah penerapan strategi SQ4R dalam meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Bolano kabupaten Parigi Moutong dan apakah penerapan strategi SQ4R dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN 1 Bolano kabupaten Parigi Moutong? Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan penerapan strategi SQ4R pada pembelajaran membaca pemahaman siswa kelas IV SDN I Bolano Parigi Moutong dan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa mengenai kelogisan kalimat, ketepatan diksi, ketepatan struktur kalimat, dan pemahaman isi bacaan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas yang dilaksanakan secara bersiklus. Setiap siklus, penelitian ini terdiri atas empat tahapan yaitu, 1) tahapan perencanaan, 2) tindakan, 3) pengamatan, dan 4) refleksi. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa pada siklus I aspek kelogisan kalimat nilai ketuntasan mencapai 30,43%, aspek ketepatan diksi 65,21%, aspek ketepatan struktur kalimat 65,21%, dan pada pemahaman isi teks bacaan yaitu 91,30%. Ada pun hasil siklus II, aspek kelogisan kalimat nilai ketuntasan mencapai 86,95%, aspek ketepatan diksi 73,91%, aspek ketepatan struktur kalimat 86,95% dan pada pemahaman isi teks bacaan yaitu 86,95%. Keempat aspek tersebut mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II. Pada siklus I tercatat persentase ketuntasan rata-rata 6,8 dan pada siklus II terjadi peningkatan dan persentase rata-rata ketuntasan menjadi  8,3. Berdasarkan KKM yang disyaratkan di sekolah SDN I Bolano yaitu 70, maka  seluruh siswa yang terdiri atas 23 orang dinyatakan tuntas.

Abstract

Imagery is a form of language use that can give a concrete impressions of an object, scene, action, or statement that distinguishes it from abstract expository statements and usually has something to do with symbolism. This is illustrated in the poem "Di Negeri Amplop" by KH. A. Mustofa Bisri which involves 7 elements of poetic imagery. The purpose of this study is (1) to find out how students analyze the image of poetry in the land of KH's envelope. A Mustofa Bisri. (2). To find out the application of poetry learning materials by lecturers. Researchers use descriptive qualitative methods. Data collection techniques include: Observation, Interview, and Documentation. In connection with this, data analysis techniques can be obtained from various sources of books related to poetry. The data analysis techniques data reduction, data display, and verification. The results of this study show that students' ability to analyze poetry imagery is still very low. This is related to the method of application in learning is still conventional. Furthermore, it can be argued that imagery is a style of narration that is widely used in literary writing. The image gives an interesting impression to the poem "Di Negeri Envelope" by KH. A. Mustofa Bisri which involves the 7 elements of imagery. In connection with this, the application of literature learning methods must be varied so that students' analytical skills can be improved.

Abstract

This research aims to describe and explain (1) The transfer of the Watu Lawang folklore into the plot of the Watu Lawang drama script. (2) Transferring the Watu Lawang folklore into the Watu Lawang drama script in the background. (3) Transferring the Watu Lawang folklore into the Watu Lawang drama script for characterization. (4) The relevance of transferring the Watu Lawang folklore into the Watu Lawang drama script as drama teaching materials at SMA Negeri 2 Purbalingga. This research is a qualitative descriptive research with content analysis. The data sources in this research are folklore documents and drama scripts from Watu Lawang, informants from 2 class XI Indonesian language teachers at SMA Negeri 2 Purbalingga. The sampling technique is purposive sampling. Data collection techniques use integrated document analysis and interviews. The data validity test technique uses theoretical triangulation and method triangulation. Data analysis techniques use data reduction, data presentation, and verification. The research results are as follows. One, as a result of converting the Watu Lawang folklore vehicle into the Watu Lawang drama script, there are many additions to the plot in the drama script.

Abstract

The research aimed to explain (1) the idea of a religious system, (2) the activities related to the religious system, and (3) cultural products related to the religious system in Handry TM’s novel on titled Kancing Yang Terlepas. The research applied a descriptive qualitative method with a content analysis strategy. The data of this research were words, phrases, clauses, sentences, paragraphs, and discourse in the novel. The data collection technique was a document analysis using the theory of literary anthropology. The data validity technique used theoretical triangulation through data validity activities based on various theoretical perspectives. The novelty of the research was that no one had previously analyzed the religious system in the novel before. The data analysis technique used interactive analysis. The results indicate that (1) the idea of the religious system represented in ‘Kancing yang Terlepas’ appears in the form of the idea of belief in supernatural beings and ideas in the form of ideas that contain procedures, Chinese New Year ritual rules, and death ceremonies; (2) the activities related to the religious system in ‘Kancing Yang Terlepas’ can be seen in the forms of Chinese New Year celebrations, mourning periods, and ancestor worship; (3) artifacts in the field of religion in ‘Kancing yang Terlepas’ are used as a complement in ethnic Chinese religious rituals, namely in the form of a statue of the Kitchen God, Huo or incense, a place for offerings, red paper for prayers, lanterns, and caskets. The religious system adhered to by the Chinese in the novel ‘Kancing Yang Terlepas’ still refers to the teachings of their ancestors from China.

Abstract

The exploration of hegemonic masculinity within the context of sex and gender roles in Indonesian novels is an intriguing subject for analysis. In light of this background, the present research aimed to (1) describe and explain the hegemonic masculinity in the characters of the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk and (2) describe and explain the efforts of the characters in confronting the hegemonic masculinity in the novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk.  This study adopted a qualitative descriptive research approach involving a content analysis strategy. The primary data source was Ahmad Tohari's novel Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. Data collection techniques incorporated document analysis using the theory of hegemonic masculinity. Data validity was ensured through theory triangulation based on various theoretical perspectives. Data analysis followed an interactive approach, encompassing data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The research findings are as follows: (1) Hegemonic masculinity in the novel manifests as a cultural imposition of stigmas and limitations on women in the name of culture, evolving into societal consensus. It arises due to the gender roles deeply intertwined with the cultural values dominating society within a patriarchal culture. (2) The characters in the novel are powerless in the face of hegemonic masculinity, encompassing power relations, the presentation of gender roles, and cathexis due to the firm grip of patriarchal culture on the lives of the community in Ronggeng Dukuh Paruk. Hence, struggles to break free from hegemonic masculinity within a patriarchal culture ultimately fail.
