<![CDATA[In this paper discussed about how to manufacture traditional Minangkabau woven index in Adityawarman Museum collection. The aim of this paper is to help visitors and manager of museum to surf the information. In this paper described the stage of making traditional woven index collection in Adityawarman Museum. The method used in this paper is descriptive method done by direct observation and interviews with the manager of the museum. The observations were made by collecting and recording data from the woven collection at traditional Adityawarman Museum. Based on direct observation of woven collection in Adityawarman Museum are 357 collections. Based on the discussion above, the researcher can concluded the stage of making traditional Minangkabau woven index are as follows: (1) screening a collection of Minangkabau traditional weaving; (2) create a description of the article that the collection of the name, place of origin collections made in, from the collection of woven materials, the inclusion of the collection, the size of weaving, as well as a collection of code and registration number that has been determined by the museum; (3) provisions which comply with the rules of index typing; (4) Typing index woven collection.Keywords: Index, weave, Minangkabau, Museum Adityawarman.]]>

<![CDATA[This article aims to describe: (1) use of information technology in Perpustakaan Pengadilan Tinggi Padang; (2) the obstacles encountered in the utilization of information technology in Pengadilan Tinggi Padang library; and (3) the efforts made in the utilization of information technology in Pengadilan Tinggi Padang library. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians at the Library of Pengadilan Tinggi Padang library. Analyzing data descriptively. By analyzing the data, we can conclude the following: First, the use of information technology in Pengadilan Tinggi Padanglibrary has not gone well. Secondly, the obstacles encountered in the utilization of information technology in Pengadilan Tinggi Padang library are: (1) the lack of power that truly skilled in the art; (2) the lack of specific training; (3) lack of funds or a special budget for the library; (4) the lack of facilities and infrastructure to support activities carried out in the library. Third, efforts made in the utilization of information technology in Pengadilan Tinggi Padanglibrary are (1) providing power truly skilled in the art; (2) provide training to librarians; (3) provide funds or special angggaran for the library; (4) provide the facilities and infrastructure needed in the management of the library. <![CDATA[This article aims to describe: (1) how the processing of library materials in the UPT Library Kopertis Wilayah X , (2) what are the obstacles encountered in the processing of library materials in the UPT Library Kopertis Wilayah X (3) what are the efforts made in the processing of library materials in UPT Library Kopertis Wilayah X. the data were collected through direct observation and interviews with librarians in UPT Perpustakaan Kopertis Wilayah X. based on the analysis it can be concluded that the processing of library materials in the Library Kopertis Wilayah X has not been carried out to the maximum. It seen many collections are still scattered on the selves without the appropriate classification number. Constraints of processing library materials after the earthquake of 2009 are: (1) lack of librarians in perticular in the field of Library Science; (2) the lack of infrastructure in the activities of processing library materials. Efforts made in library materials processing activities are: (1) the addition of librarians who are experts in the field of Library Science; (2) provide a special room for library materials processing activities so as not to disturb other library activities; (3) providing complete equipment such as computers, barcode reader, and generator sets in lieu of electricity when a power failure so that library meterials processing activities are not interrupted. Keywords: management, library materials]]>

<![CDATA[In this paper discussed about Red Spinach Information Repackaging. Writing paper aims to describe Red Spinach Spinach Information Package with the aim to facilitate in retrieving information about Red Spinach found in Indonesia. The method of writing this paper is using descriptive method with data collection techniques of literature study. Based on analyzing the data, it can be concluded that Red Spinach Spinach from the leaves to the roots produces many benefits that have a function to maintain health as an enhancer of kidney work, cure various diseases and digestion. In the process of Red Spinach Spinach Information Package required stages as follows: (a) identification of user needs, (b) Collection of information and selection of information resources, (c) packing information, (d) determining audience goals, packaging forms, and making (F) determining the way and system of disseminating the ready-made information packing, (g) transferring the information in printed form, (h) determining the strategy for finding the types of information sources that can help find the information needed, Distribute, disseminate, disseminate, market the packaging of information by means of promotion and user education. <![CDATA[AbstractIn this paper, we will discuss about directory of Bayang Sulaman in South Pesisir regency. The purpose of the paper is to describe the process of making Bayang Sulaman in South Pesisir regency. This is done to make us easier to find information about collective motive Bayang Sulaman that we can find in Barung-Barung Belantai Koto XI district South Pesisir regency. We us describtive methodoly which is done by doing observasion, interview and collecting the data from the real source.Based on data analysis we can conclude that the items of making Bayang Sulaman in Pesisir Selatan district are: (1) The name of the product, (2) The name of Bayang Sulaman Motive, (3) The characteristic of Bayang Sulaman, (4) The material which is used in Bayang Sulaman, (5) The aids which is used in making Bayang Sulaman, (6)Adress of Sulaman Bayang, (7) the price of Bayang Sulaman, (8) the photo collection of Bayang Sulaman. The making of Bayang Sulaman is Started by: (1) collection the data, (2) typing the Data in Microsoft Word, (3) arrange the Data collection of Bayang Sulaman. The are some problems in making Bayang Sulaman Directory: (1) In the manufacture of Sulaman Bayang products, (2) The name of the motif is Sulaman Bayang, the writer found that there were Indonesia and Minang languangages(Regional lengaguage). So to solve that problem, there are several thing that should be done: (1) making this Sulaman Bayang product, the writer must be able to set the time for this Sulaman Bayang product, and short the authors Sulaman Bayang motif name requires accuracy.  (2) if the name or of the motif uses Minang language (regional languange) in accord with the name of the motif made by owner of the Sulaman Baayang shop. <![CDATA[This paper aims to help users and librarians who are in the library of the Faculty of medicine Universitas Andalas in search of information or appointment behind the information. In the making of this paper will be on the stage of creation of annotated bibliographies on books in the library of surgery Faculty of medicine Universitas Andalas. This paper writing descriptive research methods with the use of the techniques of data collection, data collected from direct observation activities in the library faculty of medicine University of Andalas, as well as interviews with some of the informants. After the data obtained through observation, further identification on parts to be made for the annotated bibliography. On the basis of the discussion it was concluded that the preparation of an annotated bibliography of books in the library of surgery Faculty of medicine Universitas Andalas is done through several stages: 1) penetuan title of bibliography; 2) collection of books of surgery or search information that is all the books collected in searches and customized with a bibliography that will be created; 3) selection of books namely activity in selection creation of bibliographies in the book; 4) creation of a keyword that is adapted to the concept of knowledge covered in the book so readers can memahaami the contents of the writings of the principal; 5) examination of the manuscripts end the bibliography that is checking out the entire text of the spelling errors and punctuation as well as punctuation. Keyword: bibliography, library, surgery.]]>

Second, obstacles encountered, namely: (1) the limitations of the collection, because Minangkabau Corner newly founded University of Andalas; (2) limited the HR (Human Resources), the views of librarians is limited; (3) rarely visited by pemustaka. <![CDATA[Service corner at Andalas University Library has three objectives. First, to describe the service corner at Andalas University Library. Second, to determine the constraints that exist in each service corner at Andalas University Library. Third, to look for efforts to be made to overcome the obstacles that are in service corner at Andalas University Library. Data were collected through direct observation and interviews. The research sample was the librarian at each corner of existing services. Data analysis techniques used are qualitative and quantitative techniques. Data obtained from the study were analyzed by using the relevant literature, both from source books, and the Internet in accordance with the topic. Based on data analysis we can conclude three things, namely (1) the service corner available in the Library of the University of Andalas has four types of services such as the American corner, Minangkabau corner, French corner, and Bank Indonesia corner, (2) the service corner available in the University Library Andalas has three constraints include lack of visitors, recording books are still manual, funding the collection are hung and the collection is still limited, (3) the efforts made to overcome the obstacles that are in service corner by way of sale, increase the use of more adequate facilities and conduct business more zealous to obtain funding seamlessly. Keyword: service corner, academic library]]>

<![CDATA[The purposes of writing of this paper are (1) to know students perception about the library in SMP Negeri 16 Padang that is observed from the collection aspect; (2) to know students perception about the library in SMP Negeri 16 Padang that is observed from librarians aspect; (3) to know students perception about the library in SMP Negeri 16 Padang that is observed from the lay out. The form of research is descriptive quantitative. The technique of data collection is done by using questionnaire and interview. The subjects of this researc are 7th grade student, 8th grade student, and also the librarian in SMP Negeri 16 Padang. Based on the research, can be concluded: (1) the perception of the student about the library of SMP Negeri 16 Padang that is observed from collection side, most of students (53%) stated that the book collection in SMP Negeri 16 Padang is appropriate with the learning needs; (2) from the librarians aspect, most of student (61%) stated that the librarian of SMP Negeri 16 Padang is friendly; (3) from the lay out aspect, half of students number are disagree about the arrangement of book racks, tables and chairs in the library of SMP Negeri 16 Padang due to the library is so crowded and it makes the students do not comfortable to visit the library.
