This paper aims to identify and describe: (1) the performance of librarians in managing libraries in Padang State University Library; (2) the efforts made in improving the performance of librarians in managing libraries in Padang State University Library; (3) the constraints faced by librarians in managing libraries in Padang State University Library. This type of research is used in this paper is a qualitative research method used is descriptive method. Data were collected through direct observation of interviews with librarians Library Unit Padang State University.Based on the results of the research, concluded the following: first the performance of the librarian is not maximized on credit scoring to be met in order for a promotion and librarian positions; second collection of Padang State University Library inadequate; three infrastructure Padang State University Library were inadequate. Based on the results of the research, concluded matters as follows. First, people use the library at the Archives, Library and Documentation city of Padang to obtain additional information and knowledge easily and quickly, gain additional knowledge outside school hours, can be used as a place of recreation and agents of social change. Second, what are the constraints faced by the community in the use of the library at the Archives, Library and Documentation city of Padang, namely, the lack of promotion of the library to the public, facilities and infrastructure are less complete, less librarians who participated, and the collection is still incomplete. Third, efforts should be made use of the library by the library in the community, namely, the promotion of more optimal, facilities and infrastructure that must be completed, as well as the training of librarians and collection more complete. It is therefore recommended: (1) provision of library collections must pay attention to the collection which are much needed user, (2) the library should be to provide funds for the procurement of collection and promote the library through the mass media and electronic media so that the public know of the existence of the library, (3) librarians should serve visitors more active role in finding the required information.Keywords:Â libraries and community

On this paper, discussed about the stages of writing Guidebook of Library Media Promotion in Amanah Library of Taqwa Muhammadiah Mosque Sumatera Barat. The purpose of this paper is to describe the process of making a Guidebook of Library Media Promotion in Amanah Library of Taqwa Muhammadiah Mosque Sumatera Barat. The method that is used a descriptive method, and the data collecting technique throught direct observation and interviews. The observation is applied by observasingÂ how Amananah Library of Taqwa Muhammadiah Mosque Sumatera Barat to promoted the library. And then, by interviews, the writer giving by direct question to the staff of Amananah Library of Taqwa Muhammadiah Mosque Sumatera Barat about the promote the library. The steps of writing the Guidbook are: first, collecting data and information by interviewing technique. The interview is applayed with the staff of Amananah Library of Taqwa Muhammadiah Mosque Sumatera Barat about the promote the library. Second, before writing the guide book, the writer makes the draft of guide book. Third, making the guide book.Keyword: guide book, library, promotion.

In this paper discussed how to manufacture Directory boarding house Princess in Around Campus of the State University of Padang. This paper aims to determine the process of making Directory boarding house Princess in Around Campus Universitas Negeri Padang with the aim to develop and design a collection of library services in the form of a directory to make it easier to find information on homes that provide services rental house or boarding house for girls in around the campus of the State University of Padang. Methods of this paper is using descriptive method done with interview and collect data directly to the field, namely by visiting each boarding houses located around the campus of the State University of Padang. Based on analyzing the data, we can conclude that in the process of making the Directory boarding house Princess in Around campus State University of padang takes steps as follows: (1) collect data; (2) noted the existing data and then inputted into a Microsoft Word; (3) determine the subject; (4) the classification or grouping; and (5) the preparation of a directory.Keyword: Directories, boarding house, UNP.

IbM program aims to provide understanding to partners about the concept and implementation of library management in accordance with library management procedures. The targets to be achieved are as follows. 1) Improving the quality of library staff in managing the library through the manterhadap the nature of the library. A minimum of 75 training materials can be mastered by the trainees. 2) Produce school library management guidelines to facilitate library staff in managing the library. 3) Applying knowledge in school library management. Output target in the form of process is the occurrence of improvement of target audience ability in understanding understanding, concept and process of management and utilization of school library. Output target in the form of product is at least 75% of participants produce library materials that have been processed and at least 75% of participants generate library catalogs to facilitate the process of retrieval. The methods offered to solve the problem of library management are: through the creation of a library management module that contains the concepts of library management; socialization and training of school library management. Implementation of the activity begins with the preparation of training materials, copying, presenting the material, and training with individual guidance. To evaluate the achievement of objectives begins by measuring the candidate's initial capability, followed by an evaluation to measure participants' ability at each stage of the activity, and a final evaluation to measure achievement purpose of program activities. Training activities carried out smoothly in accordance with the expected objectives of this program activities. This activity received a positive response from various parties and trainees in the management of school libraries. So it is expected to provide better service and the existence of school library will be more real in the community.

This study aims to describe the efforts of Mutiara Hati Reading Park, the implementation of educational tourism programs, and the factors supporting and inhibiting the implementation of educational tourism programs in growing public literacy in Mutiara Hati Reading Park, Bukittinggi City. The sample was conducted by purposive sampling method. Collecting data was conducted by from observations, interviews, and documentation.This data analysis technique was carried out in three steps through data collection, data reduction, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the efforts made by Mutiara Hati TBM in fostering community literacy include providing a diverse collection of reading materials, providing comfortable reading rooms, holding interesting programs, documenting all types of activities and uploading them to youtube, in collaboration with the government. and service, providing good service to visitors; (2) the implementation of the educational tourism program to foster community literacy consists of learning English with native speakers, learning to write poetry, short stories, and books, storytelling, learning about plants, visiting kindergartens and elementary schools in Bukittinggi City, watching videos and has been implemented properly discussed in 2 aspects, namely the process and objectives, which include the effects that occur on society and the level of change in society ; (3) supporting factors in implementing educational tourism programs to foster community literacy include support from the Bukittinggi city government, social donations from the Library Service and the Office for the Protection of Women and Children, the existence of reading garden volunteers, support from the local community, the existence of support from literacy activists in the city of Bukittinggi, support from the media or the press, natural conditions and the beauty of a unique reading garden. The inhibiting factors include the uneducational mindset of the community, lack of supporting facilities, the lack of a reading garden volunteer personnel, the location of the reading park on the outskirts of the city, the pandemic situation, the narrow reading park area, the timing of activities that clash with the work schedule and school.

AbstractArchives are records of activities or sources of information recorded in various forms made by institutions, organizations or individuals in the context of carrying out activities. In order for the archives to be intact, a thermostat device is needed. A thermostat is a device that can disconnect and connect an electric current when changing the temperature in an environment that matches the specified temperature setting. To install the thermostat device into the archive storage room, it takes 6 (six) frame making thermostats, namely: a) Air Conditioning, (b) Plugs, (c) Incandescent Lamps, (d) Switches, (e) Thermometers and (f ) Digital Thermsostat. work by itself. Thermostats are very suitable for use in archives that cannot be stable. With a regulated temperature of 27 ° C, the condition of the archives is still very good and does not depend on favors or the presence of ticks in the allocation of books.Keywords: Thermostat, Archive, Temperature Gauge

This article discusses the behavior of students in the search for information in the library SMA 6 Padang. This paper was written to describe the Information Search Behavior Students in Senior High School Library 6 Padang. Based on data analysis, concluded the following things. Students in library information retrieval SMA 6 Padang can be seen through the following strategies are used: (a) the general students who visit the library to look for information purposes; (b) in search of information some students use the catalog to search for information; (c) the majority of students choose a book as the source of their information; (d) information retrieval became very important as an information service or library is how to meet the needs of the user requesting the information unit how to find the requested user information and helps users to find the desired information. This paper discussed how the process of making ceramics collection index as a means of information retrieval in Adityawarman Museum. This paper aims to describe the process of making ceramics collection index contained in Adityawaraman Museum. Their index ceramics collection is certainly going to provide convenience to visitors in search of information about ceramics is needed quickly and accurately. The method of writing this paper uses descriptive qualitative methods and instruments used to obtain data on interviews, observation or direct research of ceramic collections in Museum Adityawarman. From the data analysis through direct observation and documentation, collected as many as 279 collections from 22 different forms / ceramic names contained in Adityawarman Museum. Based on the results, it can be concluded that the index creation takes steps consisting of: (a) track and classify the type of ceramic collections, arranged alphabetically by the name of the collection; (B) the manufacture of ceramic collection description, the name of the collection, place of origin, size of the collection, the type of material, code and registration number of collection; (C) preparation of ceramic index by type and name; (E) the manufacture of ceramic collection index, the index title (the name of a collection of ceramics).Keywords: Manufacture, Indexes Ceramic Collection.

The writing of this paper discusses about the condition of audio visual collections in the library and Archives Department of the city of Padang Panjang and annotated bibliography creation of audio visual collections in the library and Archives Department of the city of Padang Panjang. This paper aims to describe the condition of audio visual collections in the library and Archives Department of the city of Padang Panjang and annotated bibliography creation of audio visual collections in the library and Archives Department of the city of Padang Panjang to better facilitate in rediscovering the needed information at any time. Data analysis using descriptive method used. Data collected through direct observation or research in the service of the library and Archives of the city of Padang Panjang. From the data analysis through observation and direct research, collected as many as 65 films. Based on penganalisisan data, it can be concluded that the stages in the manufacture of audio visual collection of annotated bibliography as follows: (a) the determination of the title bibliography; (b) the collection of library materials or information retrieva; (c) the selection of references; (e) the making of a keyword; (f) the preparation of an annotated bibliography on the index, audio visual collection contains index author index; (g) a typing manuscripts bibliography; (h) the inspection of the final manuscript.Keywords: bibliografi, audio visual
