Abstract

Career planning is the first step of students in achieving success. One factor that plays a role in career planning is parental support.The purpose of this study was to explore parents suport in vocational student career planning.The data were statistically analyzed using the Rasch model statistical fit analysis. The present study examined 112 vocational students. The results showed that parental support played an important role in student career planning. The results highlight the positive role that parents can play in students’ vocational career planning by supporting their with emotional, esteem, instrumental and information can helping them make a good career planning.

Abstract

The Indonesian Smart Card (KIP) recipient students are required to get good learning outcomes. However, some students get low learning outcomes, one of the factors that affects learning outcomes is self-awareness. Low student self-awareness is the cause of low learning outcomes. This research method is quantitative with descriptive and correlational research types. The population in this study was 7,002 KIP recipient students studying at Universitas Negeri Padang who were active in the January-June 2024 semester, with a sample of 382 students selected using the simple random sampling technique. The data was processed using descriptive analysis techniques with a percentage formula and correlational analysis techniques with Pearson product moment. The results of this study indicate that (1) self-awareness is in the high category (65.97%); (2) learning outcomes are in the moderate category (69.9%); and (3) the results of the correlation analysis show a positive and significant relationship between self-awareness (X) and learning outcomes (Y) with a calculated r value of 0.429 with a significance level of <0.005 at a moderate relationship level. A significant positive relationship means that the higher the self-awareness, the higher the student's learning outcomes. Based on the results of this study, counselors can provide assistance to improve self-awareness and student learning outcomes through information services, group counseling services and group guidance services.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan sikap remaja Gen-Z berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabau terhadap perilaku seks bebas ditinjau dari aspek kognitif, afektif, dan konatif, serta menguji perbedaan sikap remaja Gen-Z berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabauterhadap perilaku seks ditinjau dari jenis kelamin. Data dikumpulkan melalui teknik simple random sampling dan didapatkan 292 remaja laki-laki dan perempuan yang tersebar di Provinsi Sumatera Barat yang berlatar belakang budaya Minangkabau. Teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis statistik parametrik yaitu dengan menggunakan Paired-Sample T-test dengan bantuan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menjelaskan bahwa fenomena sikap remaja Minangkabau terhadap perilaku seks bebas berada pada kategori menolak. Kemudian jika dilihat dari aspek kognitif berada pada kategori menolak, aspek afektif ragu-ragu, dan aspek konatif menolak. Selanjutnya, terdapat perbedaan sikap remaja terhadap perilaku seksual bebas ditinjau dari jenis kelamin, dimana remaja laki-laki cenderung lebih menerima perilaku seks bebas dibandingkan dengan remaja perempuan. Oleh karena itu, berdasarkan temuan penelitian ini, diharapkan kerjasama dengan berbagai pihak baikorangtua, guru di sekolah dan masyarakat dalam hal menumbuhkan pemahaman berbudaya Minangkabau pada remaja agar terhindar dari bahaya dari seks bebas.

Abstract

The learning process was initially carried out online during the pandemic then after the post-pandemic, learning activities began to be carried out face-to-face. This raises a new problem, because lecturers who teach are starting to be required to use various media in the learning process in the new normal era. But in reality, the lecturers still use old methods such as lectures or task-based learning. Therefore, the research objective is to develop a new model that can be used in the learning process in higher education. This type of research is development research using the ADDIE approach. The instrument used was a student learning motivation questionnaire and a student learning satisfaction questionnaire following the lesson. Another instrument used is a Likert model scale with three alternative answers. The operational procedure taken in this research and development goes through three stages, namely: (1) preliminary study, (2) preparation of conceptual models (3) validity test and (4) practicality test. The results of the validity test show that the model book and manual are in the very valid category from the aspects of design, language and content. Furthermore, the practicality test results show that model books and guidebooks for project-based learning models using flipped classrooms for drawing lectures in tertiary institutions are practically used by lecturers. The implications of this research can help lecturers in designing practical learning.

Abstract

One of the negative impacts is the increasing phenomenon of cyberbullying today. Cyberbullying cases occur in almost all countries around the world. Individuals who engage in cyberbullying tend to have low self-awareness. This study aims to identify the impact of cognitive behavioural spiritual counselling in increasing awareness of cyberbullying. A systematic review was conducted over the past five years using the keywords “cyberbullying, cyberbullying awareness, spiritual counselling, cognitive behaviour” and the population, intervention, comparison, outcomes, and study design (PICOS) in the Scopus database (187 articles), Willey (69 articles), and Science Direct (70 articles) published in the past five years using the keywords “cyberbullying, cyberbullying awareness, spiritual counselling, cognitive behaviour”. The selected articles were those using quantitative and longitudinal research methods published between 2019 and 2024, where the study participants were adolescents who had either engaged in or witnessed cyberbullying. A total of 30 articles met the inclusion criteria for this review. Based on the results of the article review, it was found that awareness of cyberbullying can be increased through cognitive behaviour-based spiritual counselling services. Cognitive behaviour-based spiritual counselling services aim to help individuals identify various physical, emotional, and spiritual responses, enabling clients to redefine themselves and enhance their understanding and rational beliefs by eliminating irrational thoughts.

Abstract

Research based on phenomena that show a decline in teacher performance. The purpose of this study was to describe the contribution of kindergarten principal leadership and academic supervision to performing kindergarten teachers. This type of research is quantitative, with a descriptive correlational approach. The population in this study were kindergarten teachers, amounting to 43 people. Respondents in this study amounted to 43 people. The instrument used is a Likert model scale and a questionnaire about teacher performance, the leadership of the kindergarten principal, and the academic supervision of the education unit supervisor. Test the validity using the product moment correlation. For the reliability test using Cronbach’s alpha. The requirements analysis tests carried out are; normality test, linearity test and multicollinearity test. The data analysis technique used simple regression and multiple regression. The results showed that; 1) there is a contribution from the leadership of the kindergarten head to performing the kindergarten teacher, 2) there is the contribution of the academic supervision of the education unit supervisor to the kindergarten teacher’s performance, and 3) there is the contribution of the leadership of the kindergarten head and the academic supervision of the education unit supervisor to the kindergarten teacher performance.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi dan komunikasi membawa berbagai perubahan pada keilmuan bimbingan dan konseling. Adanya perubahan ini memerlukan inovasi dalam proses asesmen yang dilakukan terhadap siswa. Fenomena di lapangan guru BK masih menggunakan metode manual dan belum memanfaatkan teknologi secara optimal. Berdasarkan hal demikian maka dilakukan pengabdian pelatihan e-sosiometri sebagai need assessment tools. Pelatihan ini dilaksanakan terhadap guru BK yang tergabung di MGBK Tingkat SLTP Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Pelatihan ini dilakukan dalam rangka mewadahi guru BK dalam penggunaan need assessment berbasis teknologi. Analisis data menggunakan analisis stataistik deskriptif dengan menggunakan software analisis Jeffreys's Amazing Statistics Program (JASP). Hasil pengabdian menunjukkan bahwa peserta mendapatkan manfaat dan aplikasi pada pengabdian ini dan sangat bermanfaat bagi guru BK dalam pelaksanaan studi kebutuhan terhadap siswa.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the phenomenon of academic burnout that occurs in students. Students experience symptoms of academic burnout such as boredom with schoolwork, falling asleep easily during lessons, ignoring assignments given by teachers, difficulty remembering material, unable to complete assignments so that their academic achievement decreases. One of the factors suspected of influencing student academic burnout is peer social support. This study aims to: (1) describe peer social support, (2) describe student academic burnout, (3) test the relationship between peer social support and student academic burnout. This study uses a quantitative method with a descriptive correlational research type. The population used in this study were 284 students in grade VII of the 2023/2024 academic year at SMP Negeri Kota Padang, the number of samples in this study was 167 students. Sampling used the proportional random sampling technique. Data collection used peer social support instruments and academic burnout instruments using the Likert model scale. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistical techniques and product moment correlation techniques. The results of this study indicate that (1) peer social support is in the moderate category with an average percentage of 66% (2) student academic burnout is in the low category with an average percentage of 49% (3) there is a significant relationship between peer social support and student academic burnout with a calculated r correlation value of -0.303 with a significance level of 0.000 at a weak relationship level. This means that if students have high peer social support, the lower the student's academic burnout. Conversely, the lower the peer social support, the higher the student's academic burnout. The urgency of this study is to have a value of benefit for teachers to be able to recognize student academic burnout. Based on the results of the study, guidance and counseling teachers can make policies and provide services such as information services, individual counseling services, and group guidance services to increase peer social support and reduce the level of high-category student academic burnout.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masalah bahwa banyak siswa belum mengetahui karier masa depan mereka. Salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi keputusan karier adalah kematangan emosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mendeskripsikan kematangan emosi dan keputusan karier siswa, mengetahui hubungan antara kematangan emosi dengan keputusan karier siswa. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional. Sampel penelitian ini sebanyak 174 siswa yang dipilih dengan menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu instrumen kematangan emosi dan instrumen keputusan karier. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan: kematangan emosi pada siswa SMKN 4 Padang secara umum berada pada kategori tinggi, keputusan karier pada siswa SMKN 4 Padang secara umum berada pada kategori tinggi dan terdapat hubungan positif signifikan antara kematangan emosi dengan keputusan karier siswa SMKN 4 Berdasaarkan hasil penelitian guru BK dapat memberikan layanan informasi, layanan konseling individual dan bimbingan kelompok untuk membantu siswa yang mengalami permasalahan pada kematangan emosi dan keputusan karier, adapun topik yang bisa digunakan yaitu cara mengelola emosi dan manfaat dari keputusan karier dll.

Abstract

Masih banyaknya remaja yang memiliki resiliensi belum cukup baik. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari remaja yang pesimis terhadap masa depannya, tidak percaya akan kemampunnya dan sulit melihat sisi positif dari sebuah masalah. Faktor yang dapat mempengaruhi resiliensi remaja diantaranya faktor dari dalam diri dan faktor pendukung dari luar seperti keluarga. Salah satu faktor penting dalam keluarga yang mempengaruhi resiliensi remaja adalah ayah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara father involvement dengan resiliensi remaja. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan analisis korelasional. Sampel penelitian diperoleh melalui teknik purposive stratified random sampling sehingga diperoleh 286 orang. Skala yang digunakan adalah skala father involvement dan resiliensi remaja. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis deskriptif dan korelasional. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa resiliensi remaja dan father involvement berada pada kategori sedang serta menunjukkan hubungan yang positif dan signifikan dengan nilai r hitung sebesar 0,460 dengan signifikansi 0,000. Artinya semakin tinggi father Involvement maka cenderung semakin tinggi resiliensi remaja. Oleh karena itu perlunya meningkatkan keterlibatan ayah untuk meningkatkan resiliensi remaja.
