Abstract

Many teachers in kindergarten do not know how to stimulate early childhood computational thinking ability. One way to stimulate early childhood computational thinking ability is through coding games, either using digital device media or without digital device media. This article aims to analyze the types of coding games as a medium that can help stimulate early childhood computational thinking ability. The method used is a systematic literature review using descriptive qualitative data analysis to analyze relevant previous studies. This study examined 40 articles on coding games to stimulate early childhood computational thinking ability in various international journals between 2020 and 2025. The results of the analysis of theoretical studies show that coding games can stimulate early childhood computational thinking ability. This is because coding games involve children getting used to thinking logically, being structured, processing tasks systematically, and solving problems by developing the right solutions. The implications of this study can provide an overview of the types of coding games that can be implemented or practiced by teachers to stimulate early childhood computational thinking ability, by adjusting facilities in schools can use digital media or without digital media.

Abstract

Education plays a crucial role in shaping individuals' ability to innovate. A robust and relevant education system will produce human resources capable of adopting, developing, and implementing new technologies. However, it is important to understand the extent to which education influences technological innovation in the business world. This research aims to delve deeper into the role of education in driving innovation and to identify effective strategies to enhance education's contribution in addressing challenges and leveraging opportunities in the era of technological innovation. This research method will adopt a qualitative literature review approach focusing on the analysis and synthesis of relevant literature from the period of 1999-2023. The study results indicate that the role of education in driving technological innovation in the business world is highly significant. Education not only shapes individuals with the knowledge and skills needed to develop new technologies but also cultivates an innovative mindset and a collaborative culture essential in the innovation process. Educational institutions also serve as a platform for the exchange of ideas and knowledge among various stakeholders, as well as facilitators in expanding access to resources and opportunities for individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Abstract

Thorium reduction by electrocoagulation has been conducted on radioactive waste with thorium contaminant grade of 5x10-4Kg/l through a batch system using aluminium electrodes. This study aims to determine a mathematical model of thorium reduction through speed reaction, constante reaction rate and reaction order which are affected by electrocoagulation process parameters like voltage, time, electrode distance, and pH. The research results the optimum voltage condition at 12.5 V at 1 cm electrode spacing, pH 7, and 30 minutes of processing time with 99.6 % efficiency. Prediction on thorium decline rate constante is obtained through mathematic integral method calculation. The research results thorium decline rate is following second order constante with its value at 5x10-3KgL-1min-1.

Abstract

The role of community participation in Islamic educational institutions, particularly Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), is increasingly recognized as essential for improving institutional quality and student outcomes. This study investigates the strategies implemented by MI Takhasus Darul Ulum Ngaliyan Semarang to enhance the quality of community involvement in school management. The aim is to explore how collaborative practices between the school and its surrounding community contribute to educational development. This qualitative research employs a case study approach supported by data from observations, interviews, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the madrasah has adopted inclusive strategies such as transparent communication, involvement in decision-making, utilization of local human resources, and open participation in both managerial and instructional activities. Community participation is manifested in both physical forms (e.g., infrastructure support, event committees) and non-physical forms (e.g., teaching, training, donations). These collaborative efforts have contributed to increased public trust, a 27% rise in student enrollment over two years, improved learning environments, and a strong sense of ownership among stakeholders. The study concludes that effective community engagement, when supported by visionary leadership and contextualized strategies, serves as a foundational pillar in building a resilient and sustainable educational ecosystem in Islamic schools. The model presented by MI Takhasus Darul Ulum offers practical insights for other Islamic educational institutions seeking to strengthen community-based governance

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong industri perhotelan untuk mengadopsi sistem layanan yang lebih efisien dan aman, termasuk pada sistem akses kamar hotel. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan sistem akses kamar berbasis barcode yang terintegrasi dengan Internet of Things (IoT) serta dampaknya terhadap efisiensi operasional, keamanan, dan kualitas pelayanan hotel. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi, wawancara mendalam, dan dokumentasi terhadap manajer hotel, staf operasional, dan tamu hotel. Analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan dengan triangulasi sumber dan teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem akses kamar berbasis barcode dan IoT mampu mempercepat proses check-in dan check-out, mengurangi ketergantungan pada kunci atau kartu akses konvensional, serta meningkatkan keamanan melalui penggunaan barcode unik dengan batas waktu tertentu dan pencatatan akses secara real-time. Selain itu, sistem ini mendukung pengelolaan data dan pengambilan keputusan manajerial, sehingga berpotensi meningkatkan daya saing hotel di era digital.

Abstract

Pendidikan di era digital menuntut pendekatan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan personal. SMAS Islam Al Falah Jambi menghadapi tantangan dalam mengembangkan materi ajar yang menarik karena keterbatasan literasi digital guru. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan fitur AI, khususnya Google Gemini, sebagai alat bantu dalam menciptakan materi ajar yang dinamis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan teori dan praktik langsung kepada 20 orang guru. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa peserta mampu memahami manfaat AI dan secara teknis dapat menggunakan Google Gemini untuk membuat materi ajar sesuai bidang studinya masing-masing. Antusiasme peserta yang tinggi selama pelatihan menunjukkan potensi besar untuk penerapan berkelanjutan. Kegiatan ini berhasil menjembatani kesenjangan keterampilan digital guru dan berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas pembelajaran di sekolah.

Abstract

Peningkatan kualitas ester modifikasi gondorukem penting untuk mendukung penggunaannya pada industri perekat, cat, tinta, dan pelapis yang memerlukan bahan dengan stabilitas tinggi. Gondorukem hasil destilasi getah pinus masih memiliki keterbatasan berupa mudah teroksidasi, perubahan warna, dan bilangan asam tinggi. Namun, penggunaan gondorukem secara langsung sering kali terbatas karena sifat fisik dan kimia yang kurang sesuai untuk aplikasi industri tertentu sehingga kestabilan produk menjadi rendah. Kandungan asam resin utama dalam gondorukem yaitu asam abietat dan asam pimarat yang menyebabkan gondorukem mudah mengalami oksidasi sehingga warnanya mudah berubah dan stabilitasnya menurun jika terpapar udara terbuka karena asam-asam resin ini memiliki gugus karboksilat (-COOH) dan ikatan rangkap konjugasi (pada asam abietat) yang sangat reaktif secara kimia. Ikatan rangkap ini dapat dengan mudah berinteraksi dengan oksigen di udara. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan kualitas gondorukem melalui proses esterifikasi menggunakan gliserin dengan tingkat kemurnian berbeda, yaitu gliserin USP Grade (United States Pharmacopeia) dan gliserin Ex-Lab sebagai pembanding untuk meningkatkan sifat fisiko-kimia dan performa gondorukem. Proses esterifikasi dilakukan pada suhu 250 °C selama 90–160 menit dengan pengadukan intensif untuk memastikan reaksi berlangsung optimal. Produk ester yang dihasilkan kemudian dianalisis melalui pengujian warna, softening point, bilangan asam, dan viskositas guna mengevaluasi peningkatan mutu produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses esterifikasi mampu meningkatkan kualitas gondorukem, ditunjukkan oleh warna produk yang lebih cerah, peningkatan softening point pada kisaran 130 ± 5 °C, serta penurunan bilangan asam dibandingkan bahan awal. Nilai viskositas produk berada pada rentang Z-1 hingga Z-3 yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan aplikasi industri. Kualitas produk terbaik diperoleh pada penggunaan gliserin Ex-Lab yang menghasilkan bilangan asam lebih rendah dengan sifat fisik yang tetap memenuhi spesifikasi produk ester C-130.

Abstract

Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) provides rich anatomical contrast for brain tumor assessment, yet routine interpretation remains time-intensive and demands high precision. This work develops a pipeline for four-class brain MRI image classification (glioma, meningioma, pituitary tumor, and no tumor) by combining automated brain-region cropping, data augmentation, and transfer learning with EfficientNetB1. Experimental results demonstrate exceptional performance, achieving an overall accuracy of 0.99 (99%) on the test set. Specifically, the model reached an F1-score of 1.00 for the no tumor class, 0.99 for pituitary, and 0.98 for both glioma and meningioma classes. Beyond reporting numerical performance, the study utilizes Grad-CAM heatmaps to verify that predictions rely on clinically plausible regions rather than spurious background cues. These results indicate that an efficiency-oriented backbone, paired with systematic preprocessing, can achieve reliable and interpretable performance for brain tumor classification tasks.

Abstract

Manual grading of English as a Foreign Language (EFL) essays often leads to inconsistent scores among educators, despite the use of rubrics. While traditional Automated Essay Scoring (AES) systems offer speed, they often fail due to high computational cost, reliance on extensive datasets, and an inability to capture holistic writing qualities such as creativity and humanistic expression. This study addresses these issues by introducing AESCORE, a novel, lightweight, and cost-effective AES framework. Our methodology centers on integrating validated rubric criteria (identified via VOSviewer analysis) with open-source Large Language Models (LLMs), specifically emphasizing a human-centered approach. We evaluated AESCORE across 100 EFL essays using several prompting techniques, including few-shot and multi-trait specialization. The system achieved its most robust performance and high scoring consistency (Quadratic Weighted Kappa QWK = 0.6660) using the DeepSeek-R1 8B LLM with few-shot prompting. AESCORE represents a significant contribution by demonstrating that sophisticated, pedagogically-aligned writing assessment and generative feedback can be achieved with accessible AI, offering a reliable alternative for improving productive writing skills in higher education.
