Abstract

Child’s growth and development has many aspects. But, in a fact, peopleare only focus on cognitive aspect (it’s called mathematic-logicintelligence). Not only mathematic-logic intelligence, linguisticintelligence has an important role on people’s success too. We candevelop linguistic intelligence at home by family (parent). Family (parent)is one of learning resources for kindergarten children. Linguisticintelligence can be developed by good stimulation. How can do it? We cando it with creative fun activity or creative fun game. Those activity isdesigned and done by parent. Kindergarten children will be happy, andtheir linguistic intelligence will be developed.

Abstract

Family is a smallest unit than society unit. Family, especially parents can be an effective learning resource by utilization in instructional process for children at home. They can be the model which is imitated by children. With social cognitive theory from Bandura which is had an observational learning theory, family who’s be model can educate and bring up the children with their characteristics.Instructional process which is given at home by family must be synchronous with school experience and school lesson, especially moral. Example, children is touch about ABCD in the school, but they are touch about EFGH at home. It’s not good for children. So, it must be an effective communication between family (parents) and teacher at school.Family is model for children. And then, they must show interest in a children problem and have a certain attitude. Children will imitate anything which is done by people around them. So, family (parents) who’s be model should give a good atmosphere learning for children, and should give good lesson and good experience for children.

Abstract

Masa usia dini merupakan masa keemasan (golden age), di mana dalam otaknya terdapat ribuan neuron yang sedang terkoneksi satu sama lain. Dengan demikian, perlu stimulasi yang tepat dan benar dalam tumbuh kembangnya. Bila salah dalam menstimulasi, akan mempengaruhi maksimalnya tumbuh kembang anak, termasuk stimulasi dalam pembentukan karakternya. Karakter itu sendiri merupakan jaIan hidup yang berkembang melalui nilai dan keyakinan serta tidak bersifat universal (Agbenyega, 2011). Berhubungan dengan sifat karakter yang tidak universal, tentu lah bangsa Indonesia memiliki karakter yang khusus dan berbeda dibanding negara lain, yaitu berbudi luhur, cerdas, dan beragama. Pembentukan karakter pada pendidikan anak usia dini (early childhood education/ECE) tentulah sangat penting mengingat masa ini sangat mudah untuk distimulasi. Bila karakter “baik" (sesuai budaya bangsa Indonesia) tidak dibentuk sejak dini, tentu saja karakter tersebut tidak akan tertanam dengan baik (terpatri) dalam diri seseorang. Namun, perlu pengkajlan bagaimana membentuk karakter dalam ECE yang sesuai dengan budaya bangsa Indonesia, dalam hal ini indigeneousasi pada ECE. Adapun yang dapat dijadikan acuan dalam pembentukan karakter pada ECE melalui indigeneousasi ini adalah falsafah yang dikemukakan oleh ahli pendidikan Indonesia (Ki Hajar Dewantara). Melalui falsafah yang berbunyi ing ngarso sung tulodo, ing madyo mangun karso, dan tut wuri handayani, pembentukan karakter pada ECE dilaksanakan. Dengan demikian, indigeneousasi berupa falsafah yang dikemukakan oleh Ki Hajar Dewantara dapat dijadikan sebagai dasar pendidikan karakter pada ECE. Abstract

Kindergarten children who have 4-6 ages old are include in early childhood  who have 0-8 ages old. Early childhood is the golden age which is observed.  Every life span development in early childhood should be our focus, because every step has the special unique character. Some people said that if child under 4 years old intellectual development  is not maximize, .\'0 it can he stop unti! 7 years old. The stimulation which is give as same as with individual child character: one oj them is learning style of child. Every child has different learning  style. They are visual learning style, auditory learning style, and kinesthetic learning style, Stimulation with unique rhararter and  learning style are  good focus  in  growth and  development of kindergarten children.   Key Words: Growth and Development, Kindergarten Children, Learning Style.

Abstract

Bangsa Indonesia sedang mengalami keterpurukan dekade ini, karena minim sekali insan-insan cendikia yang berkarakter. Pendidikan karakter menjadi sangat penting dan menjadi sorotan, sehingga pemerintah mencanangkan pendidikan karakter sebagai simbol dunia pendidikan saat ini. Namun, penanaman karakter yang kuat tidaklah semudah membalik telapak tangan. Seharusnyalah dilakukan sejak usia kanak-kanak. Masa kanak-kanak yang lazim disebut masa keemasan (golden age) sangat rentan terhadap stimulasi, baik itu stimulasi yang benar maupun yang salah. Seperti teori tabularasa, anak diibaratkan kertas putih yang mudah untuk diberi tulisan apapun, atau laksana botol kosong yang bisa diisi air apapun. Hal ini karena dalam otak anak terdapat ribuan neuron yang sedang terkoneksi satu sama lain. Untuk menanamkan karakter sejak masa kanak-kanak, perlu intervensi mendalam pada pendidikan anak usia dini (PAUD) melalui indigenousasi ke-Indonesia-an sebagai jembatannya, yaitu pembelajaran yang kembali pada tradisi dan budaya (learning by culture).   Kata kunci: Indigenousasi, Karakter, PAUD

Abstract

Capaian karakter anak usia dini merupakan informasi yang sangat penting untuk diketahui seorang guru yang mengajar di TK. Namun selama ini, penilaian atau pengukuran karakter anak usia masih bersifat non dynamic, sehingga tidak diperoleh hasil penilaian atau pengukuran yang maksimal. Selain itu, instrumennya belum diuji kualitas butirnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendekripsikan karakteristik butir instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengukur capaian karakter anak usia dini. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, menganalisis data kuantitatif hasil pengukuran capaian karakter anak TK yang ada di Pontianak, Kalimantan Barat. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 40 anak yang dinilai oleh gurunya. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan survei dan kuesioner. Data yang terkumpul dianalisis menggunakan Rasch Model. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa instrumen kuesioner yang memuat 45 butir pernyataan memiliki tingkat kesukaran yang heterogen yaitu sangat mudah, mudah, sulit, dan sangat sulit. Keterkaitan antara butir dengan responden terdapat satu butir yang sangat mudah dan sangat sulit direspon oleh responden. Ada 44 butir pernyataan dikatakan sesuai (item fit) karena memiliki: (a) nilai MNSQ OUTFIT lebih besar dari 0.5 dan kurang dari 1.5. (b) Nilai ZSTD OUTFIT lebih besar dari -2,0 dan lebih kecil dari +2.0. (c) Nilai PT MEASURE CORR lebih besar dari 0,4 dan kurang dari 0.85. Berdasarkan nilai alpha cronbach, instrumen memiliki koefisien relibilitas lebih besar 0.7 yang merupakan interaksi antara person dan item secara keseluruhan dan reliabilitas sudah sangat memuaskan. Dengan demikian butir instrumen asesmen dinamis telah memenuhi kriteria sebagai instrumen yang berkualitas dan dapat digunakan guru TK dalam mengukur pencapaian perkembangan karakter anak usia dini. Selain itu, di dalam instrumen tersebut menilai 4 dimensi karakter yaitu hubungan dengan Tuhan, diri sendiri, sesama, dan lingkungan. Characteristics of dynamic assessment instrument items for early childhood achievement: Rasch model analysisThe character achievements of early childhood are essential information for a teacher who teaches in kindergarten to know. However, so far, the assessment or measurement of the character of young children is still non-dynamic, so maximum assessment or measurement results cannot be obtained. In addition, the instrument has not been tested for item quality. This study aims to describe the characteristics of the instrument items used in measuring early childhood character achievements. This study uses a quantitative approach, analyzing quantitative data to estimate the character achievements of kindergarten children in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. The research sample consisted of 40 children who were assessed by their teachers. Data collection methods using surveys and questionnaires. The collected data were analyzed using the Rasch Model. The analysis results show that the questionnaire instrument contains 45 statement items and has heterogeneous difficulty levels: elementary, easy, complex, and very difficult. The linkage between the items and the respondents is one item that is very easy and very difficult for respondents to respond to. 44 items are said to be fit (item fit) because they have: (a) the MNSQ OUTFIT value is more significant than 0.5 and less than 1.5. (b) The ZSTD OUTFIT value is more significant than -2.0 and less than +2.0. (c) The value of PT MEASURE CORR is more critical than 0.4 and less than 0.85. Based on Cronbach's alpha value, the instrument has a more significant reliability coefficient of 0.7, which is the interaction between person and item, and the reliability is very satisfactory. Thus, the dynamic assessment instrument items meet the criteria as a quality instrument and can be used by kindergarten teachers in measuring the achievement of early childhood character development. In addition, the instrument assesses 4-character dimensions: the relationship with God, oneself, others, and the environment.

Abstract

The capacity for logical thinking is crucial in early childhood development, facilitating the ability to reason and analyze from multiple perspectives to form concrete conclusions. This study investigates the effect of educational block media on enhancing logical thinking abilities among preschool children aged 4-5 years. Employing a quasi-experimental design with a pretest-posttest control group format, the research aims to evaluate the effectiveness of these tools in an educational setting. Forty children from a kindergarten class were chosen through purposive sampling as the study's participants. The data collection involved administering performance tests, both before and after the introduction of the educational blocks, to assess the children's logical thinking skills quantitatively. Statistical analysis was performed using SPSS 21, which included tests for Normality, Homogeneity, and the Independent Sample t-test to compare the experimental and control groups' scores. The results showed that the experimental group, which used the educational block media, significantly outperformed the control group in the posttest, with mean scores of 15.65 and 9.90, respectively. The statistical analysis supported these results with a t-test yielding a significance level of 0.000, confirming the positive impact of the educational blocks on the development of logical thinking skills. The findings highlight the effectiveness of using tangible educational tools like blocks in stimulating cognitive processes among young children. This study provides valuable implications for early childhood education practices, recommending integrating educational block media into teaching strategies to enhance cognitive development. It also suggests areas for further research, particularly in the longitudinal impact of such educational interventions on child development over time.

Abstract

Children are still not aware of the dangers of disasters; knowledge of preparedness is still lacking. Another problem is that children don't know exactly what to do before, during, or after a disaster. This research aims to analyze the influence of using the lift the flap book media "Let's be prepared for disasters" on disaster preparedness in early childhood. This research uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental type with a nonequivalent control group design. The subjects in this study were divided into two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class with the total number of subjects being 80 Kindergarten B children. In the experimental class there were 40 children who used lift the flap book media, and in the control class there were 40 children who used conventional learning. The instrument used is a disaster preparedness instrument in the form of an observation sheet. The analysis technique uses the Independent Sample t-Test with a significance level of 0.05. The results of the research show that there is a difference. The results of the independent t test on the disaster preparedness variable obtained a t value of 32.822 and p = 0.000 < 0.05, so Ho is rejected, so it can be concluded that the hypothesis states that there is a significant influence of the use of lift the flap book media on the introduction of preparedness disasters in children aged 5-6 years.

Abstract

This service project intends to help instructors at the Al Akhlakul Karimah Foundation gain insight into and absorb the virtues of the notion of peace in Javanese culture. The activity was carried out by administering a pretest questionnaire before to the distribution of content by experts and a posttest questionnaire following material exposure. Using the SPSS program, the pretest and posttest questionnaires were examined for homogeneity, normality, and t-tests. Foundation instructors are developing a better awareness of peace ideals. This is known based on the t test findings, which have a significance level of 0.010, indicating that there is an effect on teacher understanding before and after the test. The value of peace is essential to kids because it influences their conduct and character. At the Al-Akhlakul Karimah Sentolo foundation, Javanese culture-based training improved instructors' comprehension, which is intended to be used in the learning process to build students' character.

Abstract

This study aims to identify the facilities and infrastructure of kindergarten institutions in the readiness of typical education in Jogja. The research method used is a survey involving kindergarten institutions in the Special Region of Yogyakarta. The data collection technique is carried out by filling out the questionnaire that has been given and then analyzed using descriptive quantitative data. The results of the study show that as many as 65% of institutions do not have facilities and infrastructure in typical Jogja education. This figure indicates that more than 50% of kindergarten institutions in the special region of Yogyakarta are not ready to implement a special education program for Jogja. Facilities and infrastructure are important factors in the implementation of typical Jogja Education, facilities and infrastructure are also the benchmark in order to be able to organize typical Jogja Education optimally.
