Abstract

The rapid advancement of information technology, particularly in computer networking, has played a crucial role in supporting the operations of various institutions, including hospitals. RSUD Siti Fatimah is one such institution that leverages computer network technology to enhance performance and the quality of patient care. However, the hospital faces challenges with congested and slow network connections, which can hinder operational efficiency. To address this issue, a load balancing solution based on MikroTik was implemented using the Per-Connection Classifier (PCC) method, allowing the distribution of load across two ISPs for a more stable and faster connection. The PCC method was chosen for its ability to enhance connection speed and distribute network load evenly between the two gateways, thereby preventing overload. Additionally, a failover technique was applied to ensure that if one ISP connection fails, the network traffic is automatically switched to the other ISP, keeping the network operational without interruption. The implementation of this solution is expected to improve network efficiency and enhance healthcare services at RSUD Siti Fatimah.

Abstract

Sistem SCADA (Kontrol Pengawasan dan Akuisisi Data) digunakan di hampir setiap industri di seluruh dunia sebagai unit kontrol pintar untuk sistem otomasi. Infrastruktur energi, telekomunikasi, dan Internet semuanya terintegrasi dengan teknologi jaringan pintar. Sistem ini memberikan efisiensi industri dan kenyamanan operasional. Namun, sistem ini memiliki banyak kemampuan manajemen informasi yang dapat berdampak signifikan pada suatu sektor dan memiliki potensi ekonomi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan arsitektur dan taktik keamanan informasi yang diperlukan untuk membangun sistem keamanan pintar. Observasi langsung, kelompok fokus, dan wawancara mendalitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian ini bersifat strategis. desain yang direkomendasikan untuk pemeliharaan jaringan pintar. Rekomendasi studi ini juga dimaksudkan untuk menjadi dasar pengembangan rekomendasi keberlanjutan smart grid sebagai model bagi Indonesia.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan dengan tujuan utama mengimplementasikan chatbot pada website pariwisata Kota Palembang guna mempermudah akses informasi bagi masyarakat dan wisatawan. Latar belakang kegiatan ini adalah masih terbatasnya penyediaan informasi wisata yang cepat dan interaktif secara digital. Proses pengembangan Model pengembangan Waterfall diterapkan melalui serangkaian tahapan: mulai dari analisis, desain, implementasi, hingga pengujian, hingga pemeliharaan. Chatbot dibangun dengan framework Laravel, desain antarmuka melalui Figma, dan Visual Studio Code sebagai editor utama. Hasilnya, chatbot mampu memberikan informasi 24 jam, menjawab pertanyaan umum, serta memberi rekomendasi destinasi. Fitur ini mendukung efisiensi layanan dan kemudahan interaksi pengguna. Selain itu, keberadaan chatbot juga membantu pengelola situs dalam memperbarui dan menyampaikan informasi secara real-time. Penerapan ini menjadi langkah nyata dalam mendukung digitalisasi sektor pariwisata di Palembang dan dapat menjadi contoh bagi daerah lain.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi yang sangat pesat menuntut adanya peningkatan kompetensi sumber daya manusia, khususnya dalam bidang infrastruktur jaringan. Kabel fiber optic sebagai tulang punggung jaringan komunikasi modern memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung transmisi data berkecepatan tinggi dengan kualitas sinyal yang superior. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman komprehensif tentang teknologi kabel fiber optik kepada mahasiswa Universitas Bina Darma Palembang. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan menggunakan pendekatan teori dan praktik yang terfokus pada teknologi kabel fiber optik, meliputi: (1) pelatihan dasar prinsip transmisi cahaya dan karakteristik kabel fiber optik (single mode dan multimode), (2) workshop teknik splicing fusion dan mechanical splicing, (3) hands-on training instalasi, terminasi, dan pengukuran OTDR (Optical Time Domain Reflectometer), (4) praktik pemeliharaan preventif kabel fiber optik dan troubleshooting gangguan jaringan, dan (5) pelatihan standar keselamatan kerja dalam instalasi infrastruktur fiber optik. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini memberikan kontribusi positif dalam mempersiapkan mahasiswa Universitas Bina Darma menghadapi tantangan dunia kerja di bidang telekomunikasi, meningkatkan daya saing lulusan dalam industri teknologi informasi, dan memperkuat kompetensi mahasiswa sesuai dengan kebutuhan pasar kerja. Program pelatihan fiber optik ini diharapkan dapat menjadi bagian dari kurikulum pengayaan berkelanjutan dan model pengembangan kompetensi teknologi informasi di Universitas Bina Darma Palembang serta perguruan tinggi lainnya di Sumatera Selatan..

Abstract

Kegiatan pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan efektivitas dan efisiensi proses administrasi Kerja Praktik (KP) dan Tugas Akhir (TA) di PT Pertamina Hulu Rokan Zona 4 Kota Prabumulih melalui penggunaan sistem informasi berbasis website. Sistem ini menggantikan metode manual sebelumnya yang menggunakan email dan Excel, dengan menyediakan fitur registrasi online, unggah dokumen, verifikasi, hingga monitoring kegiatan. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pelatihan langsung, simulasi penggunaan, dan evaluasi pemahaman. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman peserta terhadap penggunaan sistem serta efisiensi kerja administratif. Sistem ini juga memberikan kemudahan pelacakan data dan mengurangi risiko kehilangan data. Kesimpulannya, pelatihan ini memberikan dampak positif dalam peningkatan kompetensi pegawai dan optimalisasi proses administrasi KP/TA.

To resolve this issue, a separate network infrastructure centered in the Palembang mayor's office is required. Abstract

Internet availability is absolute in the digital era like today. The need for fast information makes the internet very important, this need must be supported by the availability of internet that is always available and stable. For that, network performance must be prepared as well as possible in order to get a stable internet connection. Currently, the use of ISP or Internet Service Provider is very common in the business world because it has effective and flexible services. KGSNet is one of several ISPs available. KGSNet offers a stable and fast internet connection, unlimited internet without quota and as much as you like. Currently, some of the customers connected to KGSNet using outdoor wireless devices still experience problems with delays in data delivery and connection instability when accessing data communication services. Therefore, a study was conducted to see the performance of the KGSNet outdoor wireless client service with the Quality Of Service (QOS) method, the Reliability, Maintainability And Availabilty (RMA) method and also the Quality Of Experience (QOE) method to be able to minimize and identify network disruptions early so that the outdoor wireless client network can always be in maximum performance to support KGSNet customer service. The QOS parameters used to measure are bandwidth, throughput, delay, packet loss and jitter, which are then compared with the Telecommunications and Internet Protocol Harmonization Over Network (TIPHON) version standardization. The RMA parameters are MTTF, MTTR and MTBF. While the QOE parameters used are Round Trip Time (RTT).

Computer networks have now become a primary need for some people, be it to do work or other things. The same happened at the site office of PT. Abstract

In today's digital era, the need for flexible and reliable IT infrastructure is increasing, especially in the education and business sectors. This research aims to develop a prototype of VPS (Virtual Private Server) and web hosting services as a research laboratory as well as IT business services at Bina Darma University. This service is designed not only to support student research, but also as an IT business model that offers hosting solutions that can be customized according to customer needs. The main objective of this research is to create a digital infrastructure solution that allows students to learn and practice in server management and hosting directly, while developing a market-ready IT hosting business service. This prototype is expected to provide a stable and secure research environment, as well as a potential IT service business model. This research utilizes an action research methodology, which involves a cycle of planning, development, performance testing, and evaluation. Testing includes performance, security, and operational cost analysis, as well as case studies of VPS service implementation in academic and business environments. Evaluation was conducted based on feedback from service users. The results of the research are expected to have a significant impact on the development of IT hosting businesses in academia and industry, as well as improving students' practical skills in digital infrastructure management.
