Abstract

AbstractAt the elementary school level, English is one of the mandatory local content for students. Several factors in learning English at school lead to low memory and understanding of English vocabulary at the elementary school level. One is that the media used in some schools could be more varied, so it does not attract students' interest in learning. This PKM program was carried out by the academic community of KH University. A. Wahab Hasbullah Tambakberas Jombang. This PKM program aims to increase the interest and enthusiasm of students and is accompanied by an increase in their English vocabulary. The method used in this PKM program is Community Based Research (CBR). Based on the results of observations and implementation, the training provided makes it easier for teachers to teach English to their students. This can be seen from students' responses during the learning process and the questionnaire results given to 20 grade 4 students at SDN Kedungrejo Megaluh. The result is an increase in students' memory of English vocabulary from their activity when given some questions to provoke their memory of the material being taught. The PKM activities can be a reference for teachers to create an innovation in a learning system so that students can easily understand the subjects they are studying.Keywords: Training, Learning Media, Flashcard AbstrakPada jenjang Sekolah Dasar, mata pelajaran Bahasa Inggris merupakan salah satu muatan lokal wajib bagi peserta didik. Beberapa faktor yang menyebabkan rendahnya daya ingat dan pemahaman kosakata bahasa Inggris di jenjang Sekolah Dasar salah satunya yaitu media yang digunakan di beberapa sekolah terlalu monoton, sehingga kurang menarik minat peserta didik terhadap pembelajaran. Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini dilakukan oleh sivitas akademika Universitas KH. A. Wahab Hasbullah, Tambakberas, Jombang. Program PKM ini bertujuan untuk membuat minat dan antusiasme peserta didik menjadi meningkat, serta disertai dengan adanya peningkatan perbendaharaan kosa kata bahasa Inggrisnya. Metode yang digunakan dalam program PKM ini adalah Community Based Research (CBR). Berdasarkan hasil observasi serta implementasi yang dilakukan, dapat dilihat bahwa pelatihan yang diberikan memudahkan guru-guru mengajarkan bahasa Inggris kepada peserta didiknya. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari respon peserta didik selama proses pembelajaran dan hasil angket yang diberikan kepada 20 peserta didik kelas 4 SDN Kedungrejo Megaluh. Hasilnya adalah terlihat adanya peningkatan daya ingat peserta didik terhadap kosakata bahasa Inggris dari keaktifan mereka ketika diberikan beberapa pertanyaan dengan tujuan untuk memancing daya ingat mereka dari materi yang diajarkan. Kegiatan PKM yang dilakukan dapat menjadi acuan bagi guru-guru untuk membuat suatu inovasi dalam suatu sistem pembelajaran agar peserta didik dapat dengan mudah memahami mata pelajaran yang mereka pelajari.Kata Kunci: Pelatihan, Media Belajar, Flashcard

Abstract

This research aims at designing PAS (Passive Active Structure) based on an Android Application in Grammar lesson for 11th-grade students of AT- Taufiq Islamic Senior High School, Diwek, Jombang. The research used Research and Development method (R&D) that the researcher adapted from ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). Taken from the data on the development phase, the researcher obtained a result of 100% points on media validation that was categorized as “good quality”. The result of material validation is 70,8% points that were also classified as “good quality”. Moreover, in the implementation phase, the student's responses were 76,8% that could be classified as "good quality". From the data that this research showed, it can be said that this application is feasible and capable of being applied to Islamic Senior High School.

Abstract

There is another factor that is no less important in achieving success than intellectual intelligence, that factor is emotional intelligence. A person's rationality is actually guided and can even be controlled by emotions. People with good emotional skills are likely to be happy and successful in life, because they can know and deal with their feelings well so that they can focus on work and not be stressed, and they are able to read and deal effectively with other people's emotions. The purpose of this study is to determine the level and results of emotional intelligence and students' learning achievement, as well as to analyze the relationship between emotional intelligence and students' learning achievement at MA Bahrul 'Ulum Tambakberas Jombang. This type of research is descriptive and inferential quantitative research with 92 respondents. Data were obtained through questionnaire instruments and documentation formats. This study resulted in findings that the emotional intelligence of students is in the high category with a presentation of 76.1%, student learning achievement is in the good category with a percentage of 97.8% and there is a significant relationship between emotional intelligence and student learning achievement at MA Bahrul 'Ulum Tambakberas Jombang.

Abstract

The aim of this research was to design reading materials for the eleventh grade students of Vocational High School TI An Najiyah Bahrul Ulum, Tambakberas, Jombang. The research used Research and Development method, the model used for designing the materials was ADDIE model that consist of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The materials designed for reading skill. The researcher focused on designing reading material for first semester. Based on data development stage, the researcher got 81,3% on material validation and got 74,2% on media validation. After the product has been validated, the researcher tried out the product to know the respond of students toward the product. The student’s responses were 88% that could be categorized as “very good’. Based on the data, it can be summarized that this application is feasible and can be applied to Senior High School Level.

Abstract

This research is aimed to design an English learning media, Modal Auxiliary Learning Video based on a video to facilitate the 11th Grade student of MA Al-I’dadiyyah Bahrul Ulum in learning Modal Auxiliary. In designing the Modal Auxiliary Learning Video for the 11th Grade of Senior High School, the researchers applied Research and Development (R&D) method which is including a specific research model ADDIE. The instruments which are used in collecting the data are interview and questionnaire. The result of material validation achieved 63% score percentages which means the media is worth to be tried out with revision. The media validation achieved 82% score percentages which means the media is strongly worth to be tried out with no revision after being revised and implemented on the students, the final result on the implementation stage was 95% and categorized as “Very Good” category. Based on the results above, the Modal Auxiliary Learning Video for the 11th Grade of Senior High School can be concluded as a feasible and appropriate media to be used for the 11th Grade of Senior High School in learning English, especially in the term of Modal Auxiliary.

This study aims to design MRELISH (Mukhlisoh Reading English) based on ICT, to improve the tenth-grade Vocational High School students’ interest in English learning, especially reading skill. This study used Research & Development (RND) method with the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation) model. In the Analyze phase, the researchers used two instruments, those are interviews and questionnaires. The results from interview data stated that MRELISH English teachers approved MRELISH media to be designed and developed. while the results of the students’ questionnaire stated that 69% of the total number of students agreed that MRELISH media was developed and applied in their English learning. In the Development and Implementation phases, the researchers used some instruments to collect data: interviews, questionnaires, observations, and documentation. The result of questionnaires from the material validation was 82% in the “very good” category and the result of the media validation was 92% in the “very good” category. After being implemented to students, the final result of the implementation was 84% which was categorized as “very good”. Based on those results, it can be concluded that MRELISH (Mukhlisoh Reading English) application was suitable to use in English learning to improve student’s reading skills in Vocational High School.

Abstract

Based on the results of the situation analysis in partner schools, it was found that the problems experienced by partners were a lack of innovation in classroom learning and a lack of resources that mastered technology in learning. This community service activity aims to provide understanding and improve the skills of Jombang State SLB teachers in creating interesting and innovative learning media by integrating technology into learning. The learning media that will be produced is a digital dictionary for deaf students (KIRATU). This activity takes the form of socialization and training. The methods used are classical and individual methods. This PKM activity was said to be successful because the media product produced was very suitable for implementation in the classroom after being tested in the field and received a positive response and appreciation from the teachers. Teachers' understanding and skills also increased after participating in this activity.Keywords: digital dictionary; inclusive students; KIRATU; technology Abstrak: Berdasarkan hasil analisis situasi di sekolah mitra, ditemukan bahwa permasalahan yang dialami mitra yaitu kurangnya inovasi dalam pembelajaran dikelas serta kurangnya sumber daya yang menguasai teknologi dalam pembelajaran. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman serta meningkatkan keterampilan para guru SLB Negeri Jombang dalam membuat media pembelajaran yang menarik serta inovatif dengan mengintegrasikan teknologi kedalam pembelajaran. Media pembelajaran yang akan dihasilkan berupa kamus digital untuk siswa tuna rungu (KIRATU). Kegiatan ini berupa sosialisasi dan pelatihan. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode klasikal dan individual. Kegiatan PKM ini dikatakan berhasil karena produk media yang dihasilkan sangat layak untuk di implementasikan di kelassetelah dilakukan ujicoba dilapangan serta mendapat respon positif dan apresiasi dari para guru. Abstract

This study is intended to develop assessment instrument by using Proprofs website for the evaluation of learning for first grade students of SMK Kreatif Hasbullah Jombang. This research uses Research and development (R&D) research methods and adapts ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The results obtained from this development research are as follows: (1) The result of media validation is 4,1 (fair category), 2) The result of material validation is 4,5 (fair category). Based on the results, researcher concluded that Proprofs is deserved to be applied after going through a revision process to evaluate learning at SMK Kreatif Hasbullah, especially in evaluating the reading ability of English language learning.

Abstract

In English, there are four skills namely reading, writing, listening, and speaking. Speaking can be done spontaneously very different from writing which requires paying attention to grammar and others, the purpose of this study is to design an android application that can help students develop their writing skills. This study uses the research and development method with the ADDIE model to design an application called “Learn to Write Better”. This media has been validated by media validation experts and also material validation experts. Data collection instruments were carried out from the results of interviews and questioner, the results of media validation obtained a score of 96 which was categorized as very good, for material validation obtained a score of 78 with a good category and the results of the application of the media obtained a score of 89 with a very good category. Based on the above results, the researcher concludes that the “Learn to Write Better” application is feasible to use at SMK Kreatif Hasbullah Bahrul 'Ulum Jombang.
