Abstract

Banyak mahasiswa mengalami kesulitan dalam problem-solving karena mereka tidak mengetahui konsep yang mendasari masalah/soal. Pada umumnya mahasiswa menyelesaikan masalah matematika dengan sekedar fokus pada formula/rumus dan menyubtitusikan bilangan ke dalam formula tersebut tanpa memperhatikan prinsip yang relevan maupun strategi yang tepat. Akibatnya, mahasiswa tidak dapat menemukan solusi yang tepat.  Untuk mengatasi hal ini, diberikan scaffolding pada mahasiswa dalam aktivitas problem-solving.  Sehingga, tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran menyeluruh tentang bagaimana scaffolding membantu mahasiswa mengatasi kesulitan dalam problem-solving. Untuk mencapai tujuan tersebut digunakan metode design-research. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa scaffolding yang diberikan membantu mahasiswa menemukan dan mengaplikasikan konsep/prinsip yang relevan, memfasilitasi mahasiswa melakukan refleksi terhadap strategi penyelesaian, dan mahasiswa dapat menentukan solusi yang tepat melalui tahapan problem-solving.

Abstract

Mathematics is a very important branch of science and is often used in everyday life. However, there are still many students who still have difficulty learning this material. This research aims to develop a contextual-based E-module which aims to increase understanding of the concept of rectangular shapes in class VII students. The development method used is the ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development model. It is hoped that the results of the research can make a positive contribution in increasing understanding of the concept of rectangular shapes in class VII students. The product trial results show that the E-Module developed is valid and practical. This is shown by the results of media validation from mathematics lecturers which showed that 81% met the valid criteria. Validation of material from mathematics lecturers obtained 82% and mathematics teachers obtained 83% which met valid criteria, the practical value of the student response questionnaire was 62% and met practical criteria and the average student learning outcomes reached 85.625. So it can be concluded, this E-Module can support students' understanding of class 7 rectangular plane material and can be used to demonstrate students' understanding in learning.

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of knowing the process and effect of discovery learning to improve critical thinking skills of Vocational School NU Al-Hidayah students as many as 10 students for test questions and 21 students for the application of learning using the discovery learning model. In this study, the teaching module was prepared using the discovery learning model which consisted of 6 learning syntaxes and was conducted for 2 meetings. The research method used is a pre-experimental design with the type of one-group pretes-posttes design and uses a quantitative research approach. The test instrument was in the form of pretest and posttest description questions to measure students' critical thinking skills. The data analysis technique used is hypothesis testing. However, before testing the hypothesis, the data obtained was first tested for normality. Based on the results of the data normality test with Shapiro-Wilk, the pretest results have a significance value of 0.113 and the posttest results have a significance value of 0.253. The normality test is normal. Based on the paired sample t-test calculation, it shows that the t value is 0.000 with a significance of 0.000. The significance value shows 0.000 < the error rate of 0.05, so it can be concluded that Ha is accepted. Acceptance of Ha means that there is a positive influence on the critical thinking skills of students in class X APHP Vocational School NU Al- Hidayah after applying the paired sample t-test.

Abstract

Perkembangan berbagai bidang kehidupan dipengaruhi oleh kemajuan teknologi, salah satunya penggunaan komputer. Berbagai tugas dan proses dalam kehidupan sehari-hari membutuhkan komputerisasi. Hal ini dikarenakan penggunaan komputer mempermudah kinerja dan proses administrasi, serta dokumentasi. Akan tetapi kemajuan teknologi harus diimbangi dengan kemampuan sumber daya manusia (SDM) yang sesuai. Oleh karena itu penting bagi setiap individu, terutama generasi muda, untuk menguasai kemampuan dan keterampilan menggunakan program komputer. Salah satu program komputer yang banyak digunakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari yaitu program Microsoft Office. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini dilaksanakan yaitu untuk melatih kemampuan dasar Microsoft Office yang meliputi program Microsoft Word, Excel dan Power Point. Mitra dalam kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini adalah pemuda-pemudi yang tergabung di dalam karangtaruni dan IPNU-IPPNU Desa Dukuhmojo, Kecamatan Mojoagung Jombang. Kegiatan pengabdian dilaksanakan dengan menagdopsi metode Service Learning (SL). Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan mampu meningkatkan motivasi peserta untuk mempelajari dan mempraktikkan program Microsoft Office. Kegiatan pelatihan ini juga terbukti efektif meningkatkan kemampuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam mengoperasikan program Microsoft Office dasar, terutama program Microsoft Word, Excel, dan Power Point. Selain itu, mitra juga menyampaikan bahwa kegiatan pelatihan ini penting dan bermanfaat bagi mitra karena menambah wawasan, pengetahuan dan membekali mitra dengan keterampilan.

Abstract

One of the programs to handle waste problems is through the 3R program, namely reduce or reduce the amount of waste, recyle or recycle waste, and reuse or reuse waste. Processing waste into hydroponic planting media can reduce the amount of waste while utilizing it to grow organic vegetables with economic value. This activity was attended by 15 youths of Kudubanjar Village youth organization. The activity was divided into two stages, namely socialization and practice. The socialization stage was carried out using lecture and discussion methods. Next is the practice of making hydroponic planting media. This activity provides additional insight and knowledge as well as skills to the community, especially youth groups related to processing used bottle waste as hydroponic planting media. This activity also provides community knowledge about one of the ways to process used bottle waste that is useful.

Abstract

Geometric transformation material requires the role of imagination to link theoretical concepts with real examples. The PBL model can be a means for students to be more active in solving geometric problems, but abstract geometric concepts need to be combined with surrounding objects. One of the surrounding objects that has the concept of geometric transformation is the Jombangan batik cloth. The aim of this research is to determine the effectiveness of problem-based learning assisted by Jombangan batik ethnomathematics cards in increasing junior high school students' learning motivation on geometric transformation material. This research uses a quantitative approach type one-group pretest-posttest design. The research subjects were 32 students in class 7A of Al-Furqon Middle School. Researchers used Jombangan batik ethnomathematics card media as a medium for PBL learning on geometric transformation material. Furthermore, the research instruments used were pretest and posttest learning motivation questionnaires and learning outcomes tests. The data analysis technique used is the paired sample t-test from the results of the learning motivation questionnaire and is supported by learning outcome test scores. Based on the results of the hypothesis test, a significance value of 0.001 (0.001 < 0.05) was obtained, so it can be concluded that PBL learning assisted by Jombangan batik ethnomathematics cards is effective in increasing students' learning motivation on geometric transformation material. The results of the hypothesis test are supported by the results of student learning tests where 90% of students obtained a score above 75.

Abstract

Rumah di kampung Majapahit menjadi salah satu ikon yang cukup terkenal di Mojokerto, Jawa Timur. Bangunan rumah ini merupakan replika rumah kawula (rakyat biasa) pada zaman kerajaan Majapahit. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan hasil eksplorasi etnomatematika pada bangun rumah di kampung Majapahit ditinjau dari konsep geometri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu penelitian kualitatif dengan pendekatan etnografi. Pengambilan data melibatkan beberapa warga kampung Majapahit yang memiliki bangunan Rumah khas Majapahit. Penelitian dilaksanakan di desa Bejijong Kecamatan Trowulan Kabupaten Mojokerto, Jawa Timur. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan berupa observasi, wawancara serta dokumentasi. Sedangkan teknik analisis data menggunakan analisis domain, analisis taksonomi, analisis komponen, dan analisis tema. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Bangunan rumah di Kampung Majapahit merupakan replika bangunan kuno pada zaman kerajaan Majapahit yang dijadikan sebagai rumah rakyat biasa, (2) Melalui eksplorasi etnomatematika ditemukan konsep geometri bangun ruang dan bangun datar pada bangunan rumah di Kampung Majapahit, antara lain balok, prisma segitiga, trapesium, segitiga, persegi panjang, persegi, serta lingkaran.

Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to determine the feasibility of Android-based learning media oriented towards students' critical thinking in mathematics induction material. This research uses the ADDIE development model. The data analysis technique used is quantitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of data analysis from material experts, namely mathematics subject teachers, obtained 90% included in the valid criteria and validation from media experts, namely Mathematics Education Lecturers) obtained 87.5% included in the valid criteria. Meanwhile, in the results of the questionnaire analysis of student responses, it was found that at least 75% or more students responded in the yes category for each aspect responded to which was included in the practical criteria. These results indicate that Android-based learning media is oriented towards students' critical thinking skills in mathematics induction material and is feasible and has received a positive response from students, which means that students are enthusiastic and interested in using Android-based learning media and that Android-based learning media can help students in receive learning materials. KEYWORDS: development, learning media, critical thingking   ABSTRAK Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mengetahui kelayakan dari media pembelajaran berbasis android beroerientasi berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi induksi matematika. Penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan ADDIE. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Teknik analisis deskriptif kuantitatif. Hasil analisis data dari ahli materi yaitu dengan  guru mata Pelajaran matematika diperoleh 90% termasuk dalam kriteria valid dan validasi ahli media yaitu dengan Dosen Pendidikan Matematika diperoleh 87,5% termasuk dalam kriteria valid. Sedangkan pada hasil analisis angket respon peserta didik diperoleh minimal 75% atau lebih peserta didik merespon dalam kategori iya untuk setiap aspek yang direspon yang termasuk dalam kriteria praktis. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android berorientasi kemampuan berpikir kritis peserta didik pada materi induksi matematika  layak dan mendapat respon positif dari peserta didik yang berarti peserta didik antusias dan tertarik dalam menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android serta media pembelajaran berbasis android ini dapat membantu peserta didik dalam menerima materi pembelajaran. Abstract

Family Empowerment and Welfare (PKK) is a community organization in Indonesia that operates to empower women, especially housewives. The main objective of the PKK program is to improve the welfare of families and communities, especially through empowering women. Therefore, this community service activity focuses on empowering women in the form of training on the fish farming system in buckets (budidaya ikan dalam ember). Budidaya ikan dalam ember (budikdamber) is an aquaponics (fish and vegetable polyculture) which is carried out by utilizing a narrow area of the house yard to cultivate fish and vegetables in containers. Making a budikdamber system does not require expensive costs because it can use used household tools or items. Apart from that, the budikdamber system does not require water and large areas of land. Therefore, this system is suitable for application in narrow yard areas. This service activity was carried out by adopting the Participatory Action Research (PAR) method. The partners or targets of this community service activity are PKK women from Dukuhmojo village, Mojoagung subdistrict, Jombang regency. The results of the training activities show that through these training activities partners gain knowledge and understanding of the budikdamber system. After attending the training, the partners stated that the budikdamber system could make home gardens more productive. Apart from that, training activities also motivate participants to implement the budikdamber system in their respective home environments.
