Abstract

This study discusses the reflection of life and urban society has a very close relationship; moreovermodern literature very often discusses the behavior of urban society in poetry. There are 30 poemswritten in Joko Pinurbo's book, and there are some of them which show how the urban communityrelates to their environment. The purpose of this study is to describe social portraits of urbancommunities in poetry and their relation to the realities that exist in society, as well as technologicaladvancements and lifestyle. This study uses descriptive methods to describe the state of the objectunder study by describing the things that are the center of attention and support the object of theresearch. The results of this study found 10 poems from 30 poetry titles in the Joko Pinurbo bookthat showed how the lives of people in urban society, their habits and how they relate to thecommunity in their environment. Jokpin's narratives bring the reader aware of how far urbansociety is with their environment. The results of this study can be used as a reference for the generalpublic.

Abstract

This paper explores a school implemented twelve-week full-time internship subject designed to enhance preservice primary teachers first experiential placement at school. This subject is specifically focused on preparing preservice teachers through orientating them in key facets of a school, thereafter contextualizing the theory studied at University within classroom practice, and ultimately developing further competencies in their teaching and learning methodology. Three stages of activities were implemented by the authors to compile the activity report which includes the Preparation phase, Implementation and Evaluation phase. The program was designed to be cumulative in nature, building on the learning, practice and reflection developed in the previous week and learning activities will be scaffolded to incorporate both independent and collaborative and peer learning. The results showed that an implementation of an internship experience improved a sense of readiness of intern teachers, confidence in classroom management, and general teaching ability. Although well-supported as a critical experience, internships take considerable time and effort to organize and execute. Measures of quality support the need for an intense focus during the internship.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh model pembelajaran skimming terhadap hasil belajar menentukan ide pokok teks bacaan pada siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 125549 Pematangsiantar. Populasi penelitian ini adalah 23 orang siswa kelas VI. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah sampel jenuh, dimana seluruh populasi dijadikan sampel. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh dari kegiatan penelitian yang dilakukan di SD Negeri 125549 Pematangsiantar. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah menggunakan Uji – T. Proses analisis data yang dilakukan terlebih dahulu adalah Uji Instrumen, Statistik Deskriptif dan Uji Hipotesis dengan taraf signifikansi P < 0,05. Adapun temuan penelitiannya adalah dari hasil Uji – T didapatkan nilai P sebesar 0,00, dimana dengan menggunakan taraf signifikansi sebesar 0,05 (5%), maka disimpulkan P < 0,05 yakni, P 0,00 < 0,05, yang artinya terdapat pengaruh yang positif. Maka Ha diterima dan Ho ditolak. Sementara untuk melihat seberapa besarnya peningkatan presentase hasil belajar siswa setelah diterapkannya model pembelajaran skimming dapat dilihat dari nilai rata-rata untuk Pretest sebesar 49,59 dan Posttest sebesar 81,78, dimana 81,78 – 49,59 = 32,19 artinya terjadi peningkatan nilai rata-rata yang signifikan, yaitu sebesar 32,19 (65%). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa model pembelajaran skimming memberikan pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar menentukan ide pokok teks bacaan pada siswa kelas VI SD Negeri 125549 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rendahnya minat belajar siswa terhadap pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia khusunya pada menulis teks narasi. Rendahnya minat menulis teks narasi berpengaruh terhadap kurangnya ketertarikan menulis karangan narasi dan sukar dalam pengembangan kata menjadi kalimat. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti melakukan suatu penelitian menggunakan model Direct Instruction, sehingga tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran menulis teks narasi berbasis Direct Instruction terhadap minat belajar pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV di SD Muhammadiyah 02 Pematangsiantar. Jenis penelitian ini adalah kualitatif deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi, wawancara dan angket. Penelitian ini dilakukan di SD Muhammadiyah 02 Pematangsiantar. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah kelas IV yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Berdasarkan dari hasil observasi dan dari hasil skor angket yang dijawab siswa terdapat 19 orang yang menyukai menulis teks narasi. Data penelitian menujukkan hasil bahwa Direct Instruction dapat mempengaruhi minat menulis teks narasi siswa, maka kesimpulannya adalah terdapat pengaruh pembelajaran menulis teks narasi berbasis Direcct Instruction terhadap minat belajar pada mata pelajaran Bahasa Indonesia siswa kelas IV di SD Muhammadiyah 02 Pematangsiantar.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the improvement of students’ short story writing skills through the application of serial picture media in the fifth-grade class of SD Swasta GKPS No. 1 Pematang Siantar. The background of this research is the students' low ability in writing short stories due to the lack of visual media used during the learning process. This research employed a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design, specifically a one-group pretest-posttest model. The sample consisted of 13 students. Instruments included multiple-choice tests and a rubric for assessing short story writing. The pretest results showed an average score of 57.69, which was below the Minimum Mastery Criteria (KKM). After implementing the serial picture media, the posttest average increased to 85.77. Normality and homogeneity tests indicated that the data were normally distributed and homogeneous. The paired sample t-test yielded a significance value of 0.00 < 0.05, thus Ha was accepted. These results demonstrate that serial picture media significantly enhance students’ short story writing skills. Therefore, this visual media proves to be effective in supporting Indonesian language learning, particularly in narrative writing skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh metode pembelajaran nature learning terhadap hasil belajar menulis puisi pada siswa kelas IV UPTD SD Negeri 124407 Pematang siantar. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantatif dengan dengan menggunkan metode eksperimen (Pre-eksperimental) dengan bentuk design one group pretest-posttest yang dilaksanakan di UPTD SD Negeri 124407 Pematangsiantar pada siswa kelas IV dengan jumlah populasi 16 siswa dan sampel sebanyak 16 siswa. Instrumen pada penelitian ini menggunakan tes dalam bentuk essay. pengolahan data yang diperoleh melalui suatu program aplikasi Microsoft Excel 2011. Hasil pretest menunjukkan 55, setelah diterapkan metode pembelajaran nature learning, terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan pada hasil Post-test, yakni dengan rata-rata 97. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data penelitian diperoleh hasil uji t dimana t hitung > t tabel yaitu 2.04840 > 1,75305, dengan perhitungan taraf signifikasi (2-tailed) < 2.5457631 maka terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara hasil belajar siswa kelas IV sebelum diberikan perlakuan dan sesudah deberikan perlakuan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari signifikan (2-tailed) =2.04840 > 1,75305. Maka Ho dapat dinyatakan ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh Metode Nature Learning Terhadap hasil belajar menulis puisi pada siswa kelas IV di UPTD SD Negeri 124407 Pematangsiantar.
