Abstract

Abstract

This study is based on the presence of spirit (ghirah) to return to Islamic teachings among Muslim students in Riau after the 212. This study shows that: First, the ulama who has the same understanding with students is Habbib Rizieq Shihab. Second, the idea about Khilafah Islamiyah and the implementation of syari’ah or Islamis law is still dominant. Third, there is an idea that killing is a part of jihad. Fourth, the consciousness about differences is still low. Based on this finding, the radical potential which is high among students is basically disquieting. Furthermore, the basis of this understanding is affected by the dakwah concept of some extra campus organizations and their ideological organization.

Research in education is developing very rapidly and widely, not only examining the cognitive domain but also starting to develop into the affective domain, such as research on student well-being. This study aimed to examine the correlation between academic stress and gratitude with student well-being. The approach used in this research is correlational quantitative. The research scale is given offline and online using a google form. Respondents in this study were 602 students of Madrasah Aliyah Pekanbaru, Riau, Indonesia. The instruments used are the academic stress, gratitude and student well-being scale. The results of data analysis with multiple regression analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between academic stress and gratitude with student well-being (p-value < 0.001; r 0.655), meaning that the hypothesis is accepted, with the effective contribution of academic stress and gratitude simultaneously on student well-being by 42.9%. Academic stress were negatively and significantly associated with student well-being when the gratitude variable was controlled (p < 0.001; Beta -0.521), and gratitude were positively and significantly associated with student well-being when the academic stress variable was controlled (p < 0.001; Beta 0.302). Furthermore, in qualitative data, the researcher found that some students felt stressed with the workload from school because they did not understand the subject matter, communication with teachers was not fluent, anxious and sad, afraid to disappoint parents, and dizzy and frustrated in thinking about the subject matter. The researcher recommends that schools organize training that can reduce academic stress and increase student gratitude, so that student well-being can increase.

Abstract

The 21st century requires teachers to be able to have professional competence and also master IT. Mastering IT without being accompanied by the values of Islamic Religious Education will result in the birth of a generation that is intellectual but far from religious teachings. This will certainly cause a lot of damage on Earth later. To overcome this, it is necessary to develop an instrument that is able to measure the professional competence of high school mathematics teachers integrated with Islamic Religious Education values based on the 21st century. This ADDIE model is combined with the Andromeda Spiral Integration model. The sample of this study was 210 students at public high schools in Tapung District, Kampar Regency. The data analysis used was using EFA and CFA analysis which was analyzed with the SPSS 21 application. The development results showed that the instrument was successfully developed and met the validity, reliability and practicality for the development of an instrument. This study also succeeded in finding an integration model for the instrument developed which was named Spiral Andromeda Factor Analysis (SAAF).

Abstract

The view of Islamic education in delivering its students to become normative theologically oriented human beings so far has developed, it must redesign its learning methodology to be contemporary modernist, namely trying to continue to strengthen spiritual morals which is a product of the theological pole as well as strengthen scientific knowledge, namely the merging of the two poles. Therefore, it is necessary to study the thoughts of Islamic education thinkers from time to time in the hope that they can be used as material for thoughts, comparisons and references so that quality Islamic education can be realized as a model for general education that has been secular oriented. Fazlur Rahman is one of the originators of contemporary Islamic education thought. he stated that Muslims should be able to combine the two poles of education by integrating secular Western education into Islamic education learning. This thought is known as the Islamization of secular education in the world of Islamic education. So that the pole of empirical knowledge found by practitioners of secular education related to the needs of human life at that time must be accepted and based on the value of religious spirituality
STATELESS AND RIGHTLESS: The Human Rights Challenges of Rohingya Refugees in Thailand Hitami, Munzir

Abstract

This article examines the human rights challenges faced by stateless Rohingya refugees in Thailand, a country that neither recognizes them as refugees nor offers pathways to legal protection. Treated as illegal migrants under Thailand’s 1979 Immigration Act, Rohingya are subject to indefinite detention, denial of due process, and systemic exclusion. Drawing on human rights reports, legal frameworks, and critical theory, this study analyzes how statelessness functions as both a legal and political condition, depriving individuals of recognition, rights, and recourse. Employing a theoretical framework that integrates statelessness theory (Arendt, Bhabha), international human rights law (Hathaway), and securitization discourse (Copenhagen School), the article argues that the Rohingya crisis in Thailand represents a form of structural and epistemic violence. It highlights the regional complicity in this marginalization, particularly ASEAN’s inaction driven by non-interference and security concerns. By shifting focus from Myanmar to regional host states, the article contributes to broader debates on statelessness, regional responsibility, and the limits of human rights enforcement in Southeast Asia. It concludes that without political recognition and legal reform, Rohingya in Thailand will remain permanently trapped between borders and beyond protection.

Abstract

Abstract

The creation of nature is proof of the power and greatness of Allah SWT. This fact proves the vastness of Allah's knowledge compared to the knowledge we have. There is no difficulty for Allah to create as well as destroy this universe. This expression of gratitude for all the blessings of the universe is evidenced by a better friendly attitude towards nature. The cosmological verses in the Qur'an are another sign of the fact of the universe. Both explain each other
