Abstract

SRabbit urine can be used as organic liquid fertilizer for sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) because this plant require higher N nutrient than other nutrients. This study aims to obtain a combination of Rabbit Bio Urine (BUK) fertilizer concentration and NPK fertilizer dosage that can give the best results on the growth of sorghum plants (Sorghum bicolor L.). The research method used is a non-factorial Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 6 levels, namely: P1 (BUK 0 ml/L + 100% NPK), P2 (BUK 41 ml/L + 80% NPK), P3 (BUK 27 ml/L + 80% NPK), P4 (BUK 18 ml/L + 80% NPK), P5 (BUK 9 ml/L + 80% NPK), and P6 (BUK 5 ml/L + 80% NPK). The application of rabbit bio urine fertilizer gives a real effect on the parameters of plant height and stem diameter at the age of 36 HST and 42 HST. In the parameter of the number of leaves, rabbit bio urine fertilizer and NPK gave no significant effect at all observation times. The P2 treatment (BUK 41 ml/L + NPK 80%) gave the highest results in the parameters of plant height at the age of 36 HST and 42 HST which amounted to 98,1 cm and 123,7 cm. In the parameter of stem diameter, the highest result was obtained by P1 (BUK 0 ml/L + NPK 100%) which amounted to 14,8 mm. . Keywords : N Nutrient, Rabbit Urine Bio Fertilizer, Sorghum

Abstract

Sawi Caisim (Brassica chinensis var. parachinensis) ialah tanaman sayuran yang memiliki nilai Drone sprayer merupakan inovasi yang digunakan untuk aplikasi pestisida. Penelitian tentang efektivitas dan efisiensinya untuk pengendalian gulma masih terbatas. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Balung Lor Kecamatan Balung Kabupaten Jember pada bulan Agustus sampai Oktober 2022. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah membandingkan efektivitas dan efisiensi Drone sprayer dan knapsack sprayer menggunakan herbisida berbahan aktif 2,4-D dimetil amina;, konsentrasi 2 ml/liter, dosis 400 liter/ha. terhadap keanekaragaman gulma, kerapatan absolut, Summed Dominance Ratio (SDR), hasil panen, indeks ekologis dan waktu kerja alat semprot. Analisis data keefektifan menggunakan uji Mann-Whitney. Efisiensi alat semprot menggunakan persamaan waktu kerja menurut Andremico. Hasil penelitian: keanekaragaman gulma perlakuan drone Sprayer terdiri atas 2 ordo, 2 famili, 5 spesies, didominasi oleh Leptochloa chinensis gulma golongan rerumputan, knapsack Sprayer 4 ordo, 4 famili, 6 spesies, didominasi oleh Ipomoea aquatica gulma berdaun lebar. Kerapatan Mutlak drone sprayer (2,20±1,30) individu per m2, lebih rendah dibanding Knapsack sprayer (18,6±8,55) individu per m2. Hasil panen drone sprayer (58,72±17,14) gram per rumpun berbeda tidak nyata dibanding knapsack sprayer (58,22±13,50) gram per rumpun. Indeks Shannon-Wiener (H’) Drone sprayer 1,47, Knapsack Sprayer 1,15. Indeks kesamakan Sorensen (ISS) 25%. Waktu kerja drone sprayer 0.17 jam/ha; lebih efisien dibanding knapsack sprayer yaitu 11.57 jam/ha.

Abstract

The service activity entitled Socialization of the Use of Yard Land to Produce Organic Vegetables in Sumbersalak Village, Ledokombo District, Jember, is a form of socialization and education for the community to increase the useful value of yard land. The aim of the activity is to maximize the role of yard land in cultivating plants, especially to produce healthy (organic) vegetables. The method used uses lecture and discussion methods. The results of the activity are community understanding of the importance of managing yard land so that it can become a source of nutritional fulfillment for families in an effort to create healthy vegetables free of chemical pesticides. So that similar activities can continue to be developed and utilized by the community to minimize the use of chemical pesticides in plant cultivation activities. Managing organic vegetables can also increase family income.

Abstract

Padi masih menjadi komoditas utama yang dibudidayakan oleh petani yang tergabung dalam Kelompok Tani Jaya Abadi di Desa Lembengan, Kecamatan Ledokombo, Kabupaten Jember. Selama beberapa tahun terakhir petani mengeluhkan turunnya produksi padi akibat serangan OPT. Dalam menanggulangi serangan OPT selama ini petani masih menggunakan pestisida kimia secara berlebihan, sehingga memberikan dampak yang buruk bagi lingkungan. Sebagai solusi dari permasalahan tersebut, tim pelaksana kegiatan pengabdian memberikan sosialisasi pemanfaatan agensia hayati Trichoderma sp., pelatihan perbanyakan agensia hayati, serta aplikasinya pada lahan budidaya padi. Metode kegiatan yang dilakukan adalah metode pemberdayaan masyarakat partisipatif yang melibatkan mitra secara aktif dalam seluruh rangkaian kegiatan. Berdasarkan hasil kegiatan yang telah dilakukan dapat diketahui bahwa kegiatan sosialisasi dan pelatihan yang diberikan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan petani dalam menggunakan agensia hayati Trichoderma sp. dalam budidaya padi. Pemanfaatan agensia hayati ini diharapkan mampu menekan serangan OPT dan meningkatkan produksi padi. Kata kunci: Agensia Hayati, OPT, Padi, Trichoderma

Abstract

Drone sprayer was an innovation used for effective and efficient pesticide application. Research on its effectiveness and efficiency for golden snail pest control was still limited. The purpose of this study was to compare the effectiveness and efficiency of drone sprayers and knapsack sprayers using molluscicides with the active ingredient Niclosamide 250 g/l, concentration of 3 ml/liter, dose of 500 liters/ha. against the population, the intensity of the golden snail attack. and yields and working time of the sprayer. The research was conducted in Balung Lor Village, Balung District, Jember Regency from August to October 2022. Data analysis on the effectiveness of the sprayer used the Mann-Whitney test. Population correlation with attack intensity, attack intensity correlation with harvested dry grain weight using Spearman correlation. The efficiency of the sprayer uses the Working Time equation according to Andremico. The results showed that the population of golden snails treated by the drone sprayer (2.30 ± 0.95) individuals per clump was lower than the knapsack sprayer population (2.96 ± 0.67) individuals per clump; attack intensity (10.96 ± 3.51)% lower than the knapsack sprayer (12.60 ± 2.93)%. The yields of the two treatments were not significantly different. Weight of grain harvested by Drone sprayer (53.54 ± 12.76) gram per clump, knapsack sprayer (53.90 ± 12.07) gram per clump. Drone sprayer working time efficiency was 0.17 hours/ha; knapsack sprayer was 11.57 hours/ha.

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the content of bioactive compounds in soursop leaf bioinsecticides and their effect on the diversity of arthropods in rice. This research began from July to October 2022 at the Plant Protection Laboratory and Bioscience Laboratory of the Jember State Polytechnic and Rice Cultivation Land in Balung Lor Village, Balung District, Jember Regency. Arthropod samples were observed visually using Sweep Net Trap, Yellow Pan Trap, Sticky Trap and Pitfall Trap. The GCMS test results detected 29 compounds in soursop leaves.   The highest compounds as repellent and antifeedant detected were palmitic acid, oleic acid and acetic acid at 18.39%, 17.40%, 13.83%. The result of probit analysis of LC95 toxicity was 28.92%. The number of individuals in the bioinsecticide treatment was 2036 individuals, 32 species consisting of: 10 herbivores,   13 predators, 3 parasitoids, 4 pollinators, and 3 detrivores. Fipronil numbered 1198 individuals, 26 species consisting of: 10 herbivores, 10 predators, 2 parasitoids,  3 pollinators, and 1 detrivore. Diversity index (H`) shows moderate category in both treatments, dominance index (C`) does not show dominance in both treatments, species richness index (R) in both treatments is moderate, species evenness index (E) is evenly distributed in both treatments and Sorensen   The Similarity Index (ISS) is classified as the same with a value of 89.66%. The yield of dry grain in the soursop leaf bioinsecticide treatment was higher (38.25 g per clump) than Fipronil 33.29 gr per clump.

Abstract

The aim of the research was to determine the synergism of a mixture of Azadirachta indica and Cymbopogon nardus extracts on L. oratorius. and its efficacy on the population, intensity of attacks and rice yields. This research began in October to November 2023 at the Plant Protection Laboratory of the Jember State Polytechnic and Rice Plants in Dukuh Mencek Village, Sukorambi District, Jember Regency. The research method is as follows: Bioassay test to determine the toxicity of LC95 against L. oratorius imago, using 6 different concentrations, namely control (distilled water), 5%, 10%, 15%, 20% and 25%. Each 10 insects were tested, repeated three times, using the feed immersion method for 10 seconds. LC95 toxicity using Probit analysis, with PoloPlus 1.0 software. Next, it is used to determine the synergism of the bioinsecticide mixture and field tests. Field tests compared the efficacy of bioinecticide on the population and intensity attacks and crop yields. The results of the research were: bioinsecticide, a mixture of neem and lemongrass leaf extracts, was more toxic than those used alone, and has a synergistic impact. The population, intensity of attacks  and yields compared to Imdakloprid were not significantly different.

Abstract

Leptocoryza oratorius F. is the main pest of rice plants. Farmers generally use synthetic insecticides to control this pest which can have a negative impact on natural enemies and the environment. Alternative control is needed, one of which is using the bioinsecticide liquid charcoal husk smoke. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of husk charcoal liquid smoke on the population, intensity of attacks by L. oratorius F.  and rice crop yields. This research was carried out from December 2023 to March 2024 in the Jember State Polytechnic Bioscience laboratory and on rice cultivation land in Wonosari District, Bondowoso Regency. This research consisted of 2 stages including the bioactive compound content of grade 3 husk charcoal liquid smoke using GCMS and field tests to compare the effectiveness of grade 3 husk charcoal liquid smoke bioinsecticide compounds 3%concentration with synthetic insecticide containing the active ingredient Fipronil 2 ml per liter concentration. Each dose was 400 liters/ha, on population, attack intensity and crop yield. The conclusion of the study was that the population, intensity of attacks by L. oratorius F. and the grain dry weight between the biopesticide treatment of liquid charcoal husk compared to Fipronil were not significantly different. The charcoal husk liquid smoke biopesticide treatment showed: population was 3.00 individuals per plant clump, intensity of attack was 10.30%, grain dry weight was 24.33 grams per plant clump, Fipronil treatment: population was 2.85 individuals per plant clump, intensity of attack was 10.65%, grain dry weight was 26.22 grams per plant clump.

Abstract

This research was carried out at the Jember State Polytechnic Plant Protection Laboratory, field tests in Dukuh Mencek Village, Sukorambi District, Jember Regency, Indonesia from June-September 2021. Comparing population and intensity attacks of L. oratorius, diversity of arthropod species (herbivores, predators, and pollinators), Shannon Wiener index (H'), Simpson Dominance Index (C'), Sorensen Similarity Index (SSI) and crop yields between the  Cp+Ac  and Alfametrin (Am). The aim were to study the compatibility of a mixture of C. papaya and A.conyzoides leaf extract (Cp+Ac); Against L. oratorius F. and beneficial arthropods. The. Arthropod collection using sweep net, Yellow pan trap, Sticky Trap. The results of the research were the Cp+Ac Compatibility Index = 0.4 (strong synergy), population and  the intensity attack were not significantly different, The Cp + Ac treatment found 9 orders, 14 families, 15 species, Am: 9 orders, 13 families, 13 species. The number of herbivores individual were not significantly different, predator and pollinators Cp + Ac was greater than Am. H', both treatments were in the medium category, ecosystem was balanced, both species do not have dominance, the SSI were similar. Grain dry weight of Cp+Ac was 48.10 g per clump, heavier than Am, was 42.26 g per clump. Keywords: A. conyzoides leaves extract , beneficial arthropods, compatibility index; C. papaya
