Abstract

Hārūt and Mārūt are phenomenal examples or historical figures. From it arises several issues whether they are elements of humans or angels until their purpose is passed down to earth, with the existence of magic capable of divorcing husband and wife relationships. This paper focuses on: Who are Hārūt and Mārūt according to Sayyid Qutub and Wahbah al-Zuhaili and The methods used in the study use a descriptive qualitative approach, while the data collection technique uses library techniques by understanding books, articles that match the title of this study. According to Sayyid Qutb's interpretation that Hārūt and Mārūt were angels sent down by God as tests and trials for humans at that time. Hārūt and Mārūt said to be of the angelic element is based on the understanding that the word malacain, pronounced fathah, thus carries the influence of the interpretation that both are indeed elements of angels. Meanwhile, according to Wahbah al-Zuhaili's interpretation, that Hārūt and Mārūt are human beings, arguing and saying that lafadh al-malakain is a majaz/parable for one who is considered noble, because of obedience and good nature, so that it is considered an angel. Magic cannot be separated from the role of Hārūt and Mārūt teaching to humans. Both are distinguishing and explanatory that the prophet Solomon did not obtain his power and prophethood by magic, but was purely a gift from God in the form of a miracle.

Abstract

Abstract

Alquran was handed down to mankind as a guide to deal with all the problems of life, as in Surah Al-Baqarah verses 1-20 there are three human characters, namely believers, infidels and hypocrites. The hypocritical character according to Allah Almighty is worse than paganism, however, most people still do not know the characters that are synonymous with hypocrisy compared to the character of believers and infidels. Similarly, the problems that hypocrites can cause. The problem raised in this research is to explain the hypocritical character and what problems can be caused by hypocrisy according to Sa'id Nursi in Surah al-Baqarah verses 8-20. This research carries mufassir and ulama known as Badi' Al-Zaman (keajaiaban zaman). His real name is Sa'id Nursi, nicknamed Badi' Al-Zaman because the power of memory and the greatness of knowledge can match the scholars of his time. To find out more about the character and problems caused by hypocrisy, researchers use a qualitative approach method with a type of library reseach approach, this literature research contains data or in the form of materials needed and is related to this research. These materials come from literature in the form of books, dictionaries, documents, journals, magazines, encyclopedias and so on. The nature of the research used in this study is descriptive analysis, where the researcher collects data first and then clarifies, analyzes and interprets so that it can provide solutions to problems. In data collection techniques, researchers use technical documentation and use content anaysis in analyzing the data that has been collected. The hypocritical characteristics at the beginning of Surah al-Baqarah verses 8-20 according to Sa'id Nursi's perspective have a variety of bad characters such as likes to deceive or lie, like to ruin and make chaos, make fun of believers, look at the fools of believers and like to play with the faith. Hypocritical characters are also humanitarian and religious problems such as breaking the ropes of silaturrahmi, social messing, enemies of Islamic internat and hypocritical diseases can be possessed by everyone, in the sense that hypocritical traits can affect anyone.

Abstract

The year 2024 is a political year in Indonesia, with general elections. As a mandate to be fulfilled, becoming a leader, holding power, or holding public office has the potential to be disastrous for the region they govern if carried out by those lacking the necessary competence and skills. This article aims to explain the meaning and impact of power based on the interpretation of QS. Ali ‘Imran (3): 26. This study uses contextual analysis as part of the study of the Semantics of the Qur'an, because it assumes the relationship of certain texts with their historical and linguistic contexts, as well as a socio-textual approach, which connects the study of interpretation with the socio-political concept in the Islamic treasury. The conclusion of this study is that, based on its original meaning, power belongs to God universally and absolutely, and is also part of His will. As the owner of power, God grants and/or withdraws it from humans, based on all His goodness. Power can impact the humiliation and glory of those who exercise it, so they must exercise it with humility, full responsibility, and complete trust (faith) in its absolute owner. The contextualization of these three qualities gives rise to the nature of a leader as a servant of the society interests, just and wise, open to criticism, wise in making decisions based on the principle of deliberation, high integrity and accountability, and able to cooperate with others harmoniously.
