Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengemukakan pengaruh profitabilitas, hutang, likuiditas, kesempatan berinvestasi, ukuran perusahaan, dan tata kelola perusahaan terahdap kebijakan dividen pada perusahaan yang terdaftar pada Bursa Efek Indonesia. Sampel yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah 106 perusahaan pada periode 2012-2016, dengan menggunakan metode purposive sampling. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian adalah metode panel data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan hutang, kesempatan berinvestasi, pemilik saham terbesar, pemilik saham terbesar kedua memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap rasio pembayaran dividen. Sedangkan profitabilitas, likuiditas, ukuran perusahaan, dan ukuran dewan tidak mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap rasio pembayaran dividen.

Abstract

This research is examining CAMEL ratio effects profitability of rural banks. The population in this study is rural banks in Riau Island Province listed in the Indonesia Financial Service Authority in 2012 until 2016. Samples were taken by using purposive sampling method. Total samples used in this research are 23 companies with total observation 115 data. The data obtained will be tested with regression panel method. The result showed that variables of BOPO, Cash Ratio, and NPL are significant negative with the profitability. KAP and LDR are insignificant with profitability of rural banks.

Abstract

Gold presents as important role in an investor's portfolio because it provides stability of returns and favorable opportunity to improve investor wealth. Investment decision making depend on intrinsic factor investor behavior. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the impact of behavioral finance toward investment decision in gold instrument. Anchoring, availability bias, information asymmetry, representative bias, and risk aversion are chosen as behavioral finance factors. This study is conducted in Batam City Indonesia with 143 respondents and analysed using multiple linear regression analysis. Findings reveal behavioral factors such as information asymmetry and availability bias have significant impact on investment decision. However, the other independent variables do not have significant impact on investment decision.

Abstract

Disclosure of intellectual capital is essential in providing information about the company's intellectual assets in knowledge economy era. The purpose of this study is to acquire empirical evidence of how corporate governance influences the disclosure of intellectual capital of Indonesian listed companies in Kompas 100 Index. The sample consisted of 48 listed companies that had been sorted and tested using multiple linear regression methods. The outcome of the study showed that independent commissioner composition had no effect on intellectual capital disclosure. Board size, audit meeting, and audit committee have a significant positive effect on intellectual capital disclosure.

Abstract

The research objective to evaluate the effect of intellectual capital on organizational performance in Batam City. Intellectual capital components consist of structural capital, social capital, customer capital, human capital, spiritual capital, and technology capital. This study involved 54 directors of the rural bank. The results of this empirical study indicate that there is a significant relationship between structural capital, customer capital, human capital, and technology capital on organizational performance in Batam City. Meanwhile, social capital and spiritual capital show no significant relationship to organizational performance in Batam City. The results of this study provide additional knowledge about the relationship between intellectual capital and organizational performance.

Abstract

Seiring dengan terobosan penelitian terdahulu mengenai behavioral finance, maka penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh ciri-ciri kepribadian dan bias perilaku keuangan terhadap keputusan investasi deposito. Oleh karena itu, pengujian dilakukan dengan menggunakan variabel overconfidence, neuroticism, extraversion, conscientiousness, openness to experience, acceptableness, dan risk aversion terhadap keputusan investasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan penyebarkan 300 kuesioner yang direspon oleh investor deposito di Kota Batam, Indonesia. Temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa variabel overconfidence dan conscientiousness yang berpengaruh positif signifikan terhadap keputusan investasi. Sedangkan variabel lainnya tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap keputusan investasi. Keterbatasan pada penelitian ini terletak pada pengambilan sampel hanya pada investor di Kota Batam.

Abstract

This research will examine and analyze factors such as board gender diversity, board tenure, board age, board education and managerial ownership on firm performance. The aim of this research is to determine the influence of these various factors on firm performance in the energy sector on the Indonesian Stock Exchange. The approach applied in this research uses quantitative methods by collecting secondary data. The population that is the focus of the research are several companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange which operate in the energy sector. The number of samples used was 46 energy sector companies on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the 2018-2022 period and were selected using the purposive sampling method. The data was then analyzed using multiple linear regression to determine the influence of the variables used on firm performance. The research results show that board gender diversity, board tenure, board age and board education do not have a significant influence on firm performance, however, the managerial ownership variable is proven to have a significant influence on firm performance.Keywords: Board Gender Diversity, Board Tenure, Board Age, Board Education, Managerial Ownership, Firm Performance

Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to identify the factors affecting consumer purchase intention towards ecologically sustainable cosmetic products in Batam City. The factors examined included subjective norms, promotion, perceived behavioral control, trust, and product quality. The data comprised of 322 questionnaires. The scope of this study was confined to Batam; therefore, the findings cannot be extrapolated to other areas.   Methodology: This study employed a survey to obtain data from consumers of cosmetic products in Batam. Results: The data analysis revealed that attitude, perceived behavioral control, sales promotion, product quality, and subjective standards significantly affected the intention to purchase green cosmetic products in Batam City. Nevertheless, trust does not have a significant effect on purchase intention. The findings of this study offer valuable insights for cosmetic companies to devise more efficient marketing strategies for green cosmetic products. Limitations: Data collection was exclusively conducted via questionnaires, which may have introduced respondent bias. Owing to its cross-sectional nature, this study could not elucidate temporal variations. A longitudinal study offers a more profound understanding of fluctuations in consumer intention over time. Contributions: This study validates consumer perspectives on green cosmetics and advocates for more explicit standards and regulations in the sector, and the use of sophisticated biotechnology to extract natural ingredients.

Abstract

One of the world's largest consumption of energy is crude oil, which is a source of transportation fuel. Crude oil is often used as an indicator of the world economy because fluctuating oil prices can affect a country's capital market, both developed and developing countries. This study aims to analyze the comparison of the effect of crude oil prices on stock indexes in Indonesia and Malaysia during the RussiaUkraine War. This research is a comparative research using saturated sampling data collection method with a total sample of 454. The data is taken from index data listed on the Indonesian and Malaysian stock exchanges and world oil price data, then the data is tested using the Statistical Program for Social Science application. (SPSS). The results of this study indicate that the price of crude oil has a significant positive effect on the stock price index of Indonesian energy companies, while for Malaysia it produces a significant negative relationship.

Abstract

The development of the times has made the technology industry also develop. Currently, there are many people from young people to adults who use financial technology such as OVO, GoPay, LinkAja, ShoppePay, Dana, and so on. The use of this technology is certainly driven by several factors, both internal and external factors. Thus, this study intends to analyze the behavioral intention factor towards the use of e-wallets, especially for people who have income. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by distributing google forms for data collection. Based on the results of data processing using IBM SPSS, it can be concluded that perceived usefulness, brand trust and promotion have a significant positive effect on behavioral intention, while social influence and perceived security have no significant effect.
