Abstract

The purpose of this research is to examine the factors that influence intention to invest in stocks of an individual. This research are using quantitative data with 395 questionnaires collected from Batam residents who as sample. Questionnaire consists indicators for independent variable that included attitude, perceived behavioural control, subjective norms, past behavioral biases and intention to invest. Multiple regression used as the analysis method and result showed that all independent variable have a positive significant effect on intention to invest. It means those factors can motivated an individual to invest in stocks market.

Abstract

This research aims to examine the role of enterprise risk management (ERM) on rural banks' performance. ERM is measured by the structure, governance, and process in the risk management process. The bank performance as the dependent variable use measurement both financial and non-financial. The study sample is the rural banks in Riau Island provinces, consisting of 63 questionnaires as the data for further analysis. The result showed that ERM enhances the rural banks' performance, both financial and non-financial. It showed that the practice of ERM does well when the rural bank is well-established.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the effect of financial ratio on the dividend payout ratio of Efek Syariah companies in the Indonesian Stock Exchange (IDX). Financial ratio including current ratio, firm size, leverage, profitability, and free cash flow as the independent variables. The dependent variable uses the dividend payout ratio. This research uses company data between 2014 and 2018, consisting of 145 data samples of 30 companies. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling and analysis method tested by using panel regression. This result showed that firm size has a significant positive influence on the dividend payout ratio. Other variables like current ratio, leverage, profitability, and free cash flow do not significantly affect the dividend payout ratio.

Abstract

Property investment is a stable long-term investment, low risk, and it has protection against inflation. Property investment included housing, shop houses, and apartments. The purpose of this study is to examine the influence of location, neighborhood, structural, financial, and attitude on purchase decision of property in Batam City. This study distributes questionnaires to 250 respondents by using a convenience sampling method. The data analysis uses Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) by examining the outer and inner models. The research results showed that the location, structural, and attitude variables significantly affect purchase decision. Meanwhile, the variable of the neighborhood and financial do not have a significant effect on purchase decision. The R-Square shows that 35.44% of the regression model is explained by the variables in this research, while 64.56% explained by other variables affecting purchase decision.

Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui apakah brand association, brand loyalty, country of origin, perceived quality dan price secara langsung mempengaruhi purchase intention dengan satisfaction sebagai variabel mediasi pada kosmetik Korea Selatan di kota Batam. Data dikumpulkan dari 254 responden yang merupakan pengguna kosmetik Korea Selatan di kota Batam. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode analisis Partial Least Square-Structured Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa brand association, perceived quality, satisfaction berpengaruh signifikan positif terhadap purchase intention, sedangkan variabel brand loyalty, country of origin, dan price tidak berpengaruh terhadap purchase intention. Pengaruh variabel perceived quality terhadap purchase intention yang dimediasi oleh satisfaction memiliki pengaruh signfikan positif.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui pengaruh determinan penggunaan FinTech (Financial Technology) seperti crowdfunding, mobile payment, blockchain dalam pengambil keputusan minat young entrepreneurial. Penelitian ini menggunakan data primer dengan penyebaran 220 kuesioner kepada responden yang merupakan di kalangan pengusaha muda. Analisis data menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar hubungan yang diselidiki tentang crowdfunding, blockchain dan mobile payment memiliki pengaruh signifikan positif terhadap entrepreneurial intention. Ekosistem FinTech (Financial Technology) dapat secara positif mempengaruhi keputusan untuk berwirausaha, dengan implikasi yang relevan di tingkat institusi, industri dan individu. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hubungan positif dan signifikan antara beberapa dimensi utama FinTech (Financial Technology) terhadap entrepreneurial intentions.

Abstract

This research intends to investigate the effects of financial knowledge, self-control, parental socialization, and peer influence on the entrepreneurial intention of Generation Z (Gen-Z) through saving behavior as the mediating variable. A sample size of 396 Indonesian Gen-Z were used, and SmartPLS 3.0 program was adopted to evaluate the collected information. Meanwhile, structural equation model was implemented based on the partial least square method. The results reveal that financial literacy, self-control, and parental socialization positively affect saving behavior and successfully intervene entrepreneurial intention. However, peer influence has no significant connection to saving behavior and entrepreneurial intention. A novel framework is offered to policymakers to identify the driving forces of Gen-Z propensity to save and pursue entrepreneurial opportunities.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis dampak manajemen risiko terhadap kinerja bank. Manajemen risiko diukur melalui risiko kredit, risiko likuiditas, risiko operasional, leverage, pertumbuhan kredit, dan modal bank. Sedangkan, kinerja bank diukur melalui ROA (return on asset) dan ROE (return on equity). Sampel pada penelitian ini ialah Bank Perkreditan Rakyat (BPR) di provinsi Kalimantan Barat. Data dikumpulkan melalui laporan keuangan tahun 2018 hingga 2022 yang tersedia di situs web Otoritas Jasa Keuangan (OJK). Berdasarkan data OJK, terdapat 21 BPR di provinsi Kalimantan Barat sehingga total data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yakni sebanyak 105 data. Metode analisis yang diterapkan ialah metode regresi panel dan diuji menggunakan aplikasi E-Views. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan risiko kredit, risiko likuiditas, dan risiko operasional berpengaruh secara negatif terhadap ROA, sementara leverage dan modal bank memiliki memiliki pengaruh yang positif terhadap ROA. Sedangkan, pertumbuhan kredit tidak berpengaruh terhadap ROA. Selain itu, risiko kredit, leverage, risiko operasional, dan modal bank memiliki pengaruh negatif terhadap ROE, sementara risiko likuiditas dan pertumbuhan kredit tidak berpengaruh terhadap ROE.

Abstract

The development of the times has made the technology industry also develop. Currently, there are many people from young people to adults who use financial technology such as OVO, GoPay, LinkAja, ShoppePay, Dana, and so on. The use of this technology is certainly driven by several factors, both internal and external factors. Thus, this study intends to analyze the behavioral intention factor towards the use of e-wallets, especially for people who have income. The method used in this research is a qualitative method by distributing google forms for data collection. Based on the results of data processing using IBM SPSS, it can be concluded that perceived usefulness, brand trust and promotion have a significant positive effect on behavioral intention, while social influence and perceived security have no significant effect.

Abstract

The study at hand was made in the aims to investigate, and correlate between the Gross Regional Product (GRP) of Bali with the effects of Covid-19 on the tour and travel industry. The data used in the study is based on secondary data procured from notable and trustworthy websites such as the Government Statistics Department (BPS) and publishes only found in Google Scholar and Emerald. The data was collected with a quantitative approach in mind resulting in most of the data being analytical data and statistics. The state of the industry of tour and travel represented by the ratio and number of rooms occupied during a given year shows a significant drop from the then 59,56% to 15,61% and number of visitors dropped immensely, close to 83% from the year before. The effect it had on Bali’s GRP is a reversal in economic growth from 252.138.88 to 224.214.11 billion rupiah.
