Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan literasi sains siswa kelas VIII SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu pada materi isu pencemaran lingkungan.  Subyek dalam penelitian  ini  yaitu kelas VIII SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu. Metode  yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 100 peserta didik. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah soal tes literasi sains dan lembar pedoman wawancara. Teknik analisis data dilakukan  dengan pemberian skor untuk setiap jawaban peserta didik kemudian di interprestasikan ke dalam nilai dan kategori capaian sains serta menganalisis hasil wawancara. Dengan demikian kemampuan literasi sains siswa berdasarkan hasil penelitian memiliki  persentase  nilai  rata-rata pada aspek  konteks sebesar (49%) dengan ketercapaian sangat rendah, aspek  pengetahuan sebesar (51%) dengan ketercapaian  rendah,  dan  aspek  kompetensi sebesar (47%) dengan ketercapaian sangat rendah. Secara  keseluruhan  hasil  penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan literasi sains siswa masih dalam kategori sangat rendah dengan persentase sebesar 47%. Rendahnya kemampuan literasi sains siswa pada materi isu pencemaran lingkungan di SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu dipengaruhi oleh beberapa faktor, yaitu minat baca peserta didik yang masih rendah, peserta didik jarang mengulang pembelajaran, peserta didik belum terlatih dalam memecahkan permasalahan mengenai isu pencemaran lingkungan yang terjadi di wilayah Kota Bengkulu dan alat evaluasi yang belum mengarah pada pengembangan literasi sains.   Kata kunci: Literasi Sains, Pencemaran Lingkungan, SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu   ABSTRACT   This study aims to describe the scientific literacy ability of eighth grade students of SMPN 9 Bengkulu City in the environmental pollution issues. The subjects in this study is class VIII SMPN 9 Bengkulu City. The method used is descriptive quantitative method. The sample in this study amounted to 100 students. The instruments used were scientific literacy test questions and interview guide sheets. The data analysis technique was carried out by giving a score for each student's answer and then interpreting it into the value and category of science achievement and analyzing the results of the interview. Thus students' scientific literacy skills based on research results have an average score percentage in the context aspect of (49%) with very low achievement, knowledge aspect of (51%) with low achievement, and competence aspect of (47%) with very high achievement. low. Overall, the results showed that the students' scientific literacy skills were still in the very low category with a percentage of 47%. The low ability of students' scientific literacy on environmental pollution issues at SMPN 9 Bengkulu City is influenced by several factors, namely students' low interest in reading, students rarely repeat learning, students have not been trained in solving problems regarding environmental pollution issues that occur in the area Bengkulu City and evaluation tools that have not led to the development of scientific literacy.   Keywords: Science Literacy, Environmental Pollution, SMPN 9 Bengkulu City

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran berbasis android dengan SAC (Smart Apps Creator) pada materi pemanasan global di kelas VII. Penelitian dilakukan di SMP Negeri 4 Kota Bengkulu. Teknik analisis validasi yang digunakan adalah formula Aiken V. Hasil penelitian menyimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran berbasis android berdasarkan skor raat-rata dari validasi media sebesar 0,88 dan validasu materi sebesar 1,00 memenuhi kategori sangat valid dan reliabel dengan V > 0,8. Artinya, media pembelajaran berbasis android yang dikembangkan sudah sangat layak untuk diuji cobakan. Kemudian respon siswa terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis android diperoleh persentase 89,83% dengan kategori sangat baik yang artinya sebagian besar siswa menyukai jika pembelajaran menggunakan media pembelajaran berbasis android yang didalamnya terdapat video, gambar serta audio, media pembelajaran berbasis android juga dianggap media pembelajaran yang mudah diakses sehingga siswa mudah dalam menggunakannya. Selain itu, siswa lebih memahami isi materi pada materi pemanasan global. Sedangkan respoon guru terhadap media pembelajaran berbasis android diperoleh persentase 92,18% dengan kategori sangat baik yang artinya guru membutuhkan media pembelajaran berbasis android yang tidak hanya berupa teks tetapi memuat video, gambar, audio dan evaluasi, guru menyukai media pembelajaran berbasis android karena membantu guru menarik perhatian siswa. Selain itu, media pembelajaran berbasis android juga dianggap media pembelajaran yang mudah diakses dimanapun dan kapanpun.   Kata Kunci: Media Pembelajaran, Android, SAC (Smart Apps Creator), Pemanasan Global.   ABSTRACT   This study aims to develop an android-based learning media with SAC (Smart Apps Creator) on global warming material in class VII. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Bengkulu City. The validation analysis technique used is the Aiken V formula. The results of the study conclude that the android-based learning media based on the average score of media validation is 0.88 and the material validity is 1.00. It meets the very valid and reliable category with V > 0.8. This means that the Android-based learning media that has been developed is very feasible to be tested. Then the student response to android-based learning media obtained a percentage of 89.83% with a very good category which means that most students like learning using android-based learning media which includes video, images and audio, android-based learning media is also considered an easy learning media accessible so that students can easily use it. In addition, students better understand the content of the material on global warming material. While the teacher's response to android-based learning media obtained a percentage of 92.18% with a very good category which means that teachers need android-based learning media that are not only in the form of text but contain videos, images, audio and evaluation, teachers like android-based learning media because it helps teachers attract students' attention. In addition, android-based learning media are also considered learning media that are easily accessible anywhere and anytime.                                                                                                                        Keywords: Learning Media, Android, SAC (Smart Apps Creator), Global Warming.

Abstract

This research was conducted because of the difficulties experienced by students in learning, especially in the use of learning resources which still use printed books and worksheets in less interesting classroom learning. The gap that occurs between expectations and reality is that students expect learning to be more interactive, interesting and practical. This research aims to produce Android-based learning media products using integrated additives as smoked fish in the city of Bengkulu. The method applied is research and development (RND). This research uses a 4D development model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). Development carried out is limited to the Development stage. The subjects of this research were 31 students in class VIII 2 of SMPN 3 Bengkulu City. Research instruments include observation, teacher interview sheets, student readability test sheets and expert validation sheets. The results of the research show that Android-based learning media on integrated smoked fish additive material is very suitable for use based on validation results from two validators, namely two material experts, two media experts, and practitioners. The learning media validation score by material experts was 88 in the "very feasible" category, the validation result by media experts was 87 in the "very feasible" category. And the practitioner validation results were 91 which were in the "very feasible" category. And the results of student responses to the media were 92 in the "very good" category. It can be concluded that Android-based learning media is very feasible and very good for use in junior high school science learning on additive material. For further training, it is possible to carry out secondary school education learning activities aimed at by the next training.

Abstract

Makroinvertebrata merupakan organisme tidak bertulang belakang yang memiliki ukuran kasat mata, memiliki habitat di darat, dalam  tanah, perairan meliputi air laut dan tawar. Kelompok makroinvertebrata di perairan bisa dijadikan bioindikator suatu perairan. Makroinvertebrata di perairan air tawar contohnya kelompok keong air tawar, serangga air, udang dan Clitellata seperti lintah. Penelitian dilakukan pada bulan Oktober 2023 sampai Januari 2024 menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan leaf litter bags, jaring seser, dan mengambil sedimen dasar perairan menggunakan ember. Pengukuran parameter lingkungan dilakukan meliputi pengukuran intensitas cahaya, suhu air, tingkat keasaman (pH), oksigen terlarut (DO), kedalaman lumpur, dan kedalaman air. Analisis data menggunakan indeks Shannon-Wiener, indeks Eveness dan indeks Simpson. Hasil identifikasi makroinvertebrata menunjukkan terdapat 16 spesies terdiri atas 13 famili dan 4 kelas. Indeks keanekaragaman makroinvertebrata di area kolam konservasi ex-situ kura-kura Siebenrockiella crassicollis Universitas Bengkulu secara umum tekanan ekologis berada pada kondisi tekanan rendah hingga sedang, dapat dilihat pada nilai H’ berkisar antara 0,981 sampai 1,577, indeks keseragaman berkisar antara 0,354 sampai 0,569 dan indeks dominansi berkisar antara 0,342 sampai 0,506. Kelimpahan, keanekaragaman, keseragaman dan dominansi makroinvertebrata dipengaruhi oleh parameter fisika kimia dan kondisi lingkungan.

Abstract

By creating interactive learning materials for the biochemistry course, this project seeks to improve the critical thinking abilities of students enrolled in the Science Education Program at one of the Bengkulu universities. Employing a research and development (R&D) approach considering the DDD-E (Decide, Design, Develop, Evaluate) model, the media was designed for Android devices and focuses on carbohydrate metabolism content. The main features include Program and Course Learning Outcomes, instructional materials, usage guidelines, and a profile section. Validation results from content and media experts confirmed the media’s appropriateness for instructional use. Student responses, analyzed using the Rasch Model, indicated strong agreement regarding the media's usefulness. Moreover, the application of this interactive media significantly improved students' critical thinking skills, with an N-gain score of 53.67%. These findings suggest that the media is effective for use in biochemistry courses, although further research is needed to explore its application in other subject areas.

Abstract

Pertanian yang ramah lingkungan masih menjadi prioritas bagi pemerintah daerah dalam pembangunan berkelanjutan karena diharapkan dapat meningkatkan dan mempertahankan produktivitas tinggi dalam bidang pertanian. Pengabdian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk mewujudkan pertanian ramah lingkungan dengan memanfaatkan limbah organik rumah tangga sebagai bahan baku pembuatan kompos dengan Biokativator. Sasaran kegiatan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Kelompok Wanita Tani (KWT) Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E dan KWT Lahan Hijau di RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya Kecamatan  Kampung  Melayu Kota Bengkulu dengan jumlah  sasaran sebanyak 45 orang. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini terdiri dari 4 tahapan yaitu, tahap observasi, tahap penyuluhan, tahap monitoring, dan tahap evaluasi. Hasilnya adalah pupuk kompos yang dihasilkan cukup bagus, tidak ada ulat atau belatung, serta tidak terlalu bau., pupuk kompos dengan karakteristik demikian sangat cocok untuk diaplikasikan pada pertanian. Selain pupuk daun, dari kegiatan ini juga dihasilkan pupuk cair organik yang merupakan sisa cairan dari  proses pembuatan pupuk kompos dengan bioaktivator. Setelah kegiatan ini KWT Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E dan KWT Lahan Hijau di RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya  Kecamatan  Kampung  Melayu Kota Bengkulu diharapkan dapat  membuat kompos bioaktivator dengan kualitas bagus dan berdaya jual tinggi.Kata Kunci: bioaktivator; limbah organik rumah tangga; pupuk kompos. Increasing the Productivity of Bioactivator Compost with Organic Household Waste Raw MaterialsABSTRACTEnvironmentally friendly agriculture is still a priority for local governments in sustainable development because it is expected to increase and maintain high productivity in agriculture. This service was carried out with the aim of realizing environmentally friendly agriculture by utilizing household organic waste as raw material for composting with biocativators. The targets of this service are the Women Farmers Group (KWT) Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E and KWT Green Land in RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya Sub-district Kampung Melayu Bengkulu City with a total target of 45 people. The method used in this service consists of 4 stages, namely, the observation stage, the counseling stage, the monitoring stage, and the evaluation stage. The result is that the compost produced is quite good, there are no caterpillars or maggots, and does not smell too much. Compost with these characteristics is very suitable for application in agriculture. Apart from foliar fertilizers, this activity also produces organic liquid fertilizer, which is the residual liquid from the compost-making process using a bioactivator. After this activity, KWT Nila 4A, KWT Nila 6E and KWT Green Land at RT.4 RW.01 Kelurahan Sumber Jaya Sub-district Kampung Melayu City Bengkulu City are expected to be able to make bioactivator compost with good quality and high selling power.Keywords: bioactivator; household organic waste; compost.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan soal berbasis Higher Order Thinking Skill HOTS yang valid secara logis, valid secara empiris, serta mengetahui profil jawaban siswa pada materi kalor dan perpindahannya yang layak untuk digunakan. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII A dan VII B dengan jumlah keseluruhan berjumlah 54 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data dengan uji coba produk soal draft I, kemudian soal draft I di validasi oleh validasi ahli materi, konstruksi, dan bahasa, kemudian diuji kevalidan soal serta melihat profil jawaban siswa kemudian data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Soal-soal HOTS hasil pengembangan bahwa telah valid secara logis ditinjau dari  aspek materi, konstruksi, dan bahasa dengan kategori sangat valid. Soal-soal HOTS hasil pengembangan bahwa telah valid secara empiris ditinjau dari validitas, reliabilitas, indeks kesukaran, daya pembeda, dan fungsi pengecoh dari tinjauan itu draft soal I berjumlah 20 soal setelah di uji empiris dan dianalisis validitas, reliabilitas, indek kesukaran, daya beda, dan fungsi pengecohnya maka soal yang kualitas memenuhi ada 8 soal. Jika dilihat profil jawaban siswa berada pada soal jenjang kognitif C4 diperoleh 100%. Sedangkan jenjang kognitif soal C5 memperoleh persentase sebesar dengan 97%. Dan pada soal jenjang kognitit C6 memperoleh persentase yaitu 89%.   Kata kunci: Pengembangan soal HOTS, Kalor dan Perpindahannya. ABSTRACT   This study aims to develop questions based on HOTS Higher Order Thinking Skills that are logically valid, empirically valid, and to find out the profile of students' answers on heat and displacement material that is feasible to use. The sample in this study were students in class VII A and VII B with a total of 54 students. Sampling used data collection techniques by testing draft I product questions, then draft I questions were validated by material, construction, and language expert validation, then tested for the validity of the questions and looking at student answer profiles then the data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. The developed HOTS questions were logically valid in terms of material, construction and language aspects with very valid categories. The HOTS questions as a result of the development were empirically valid in terms of validity, reliability, difficulty index, discriminatory power, and the deceptive function of that review. The draft questions I totaled 20 questions after being empirically tested and analyzed for validity, reliability, index of difficulty, discriminatory power. , and the deceptive function, there are 8 questions that fulfill the quality. If you look at the profile of the student's answers in the question of cognitive level C4, it is obtained 100%. While the cognitive level of C5 questions obtained a percentage of 97%. And in terms of cognitive level C6, the percentage is 89%.   Keywords: Development of HOTS questions, Heat and Displacement.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Mengetahui kelayakan E-LKPD berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) pada System Ekskresi kulit pada manusia untuk peserta didik SMP, 2) Mengetahui hasil respon peserta didik terhadap E-LKPD berbasis Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) peserta didik di SMPN 01 Kota Bengkulu. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Namun penelitian ini hanya terbatas pada tahap Develop. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah: 1) Lembar angket wawancara, 2) Lembar angket  validasi  ahli  materi  dan  ahli  media,  3)  Lembar  angket  respon  peserta  didik.  Hasil  penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa hasil rata-rata uji validasi ahli materi 96% dengan kategori sangat valid. Sedangkan pada uji validasi media mendapatkan hasil rata-rata 95% dengan kategori sangat valid. Pada uji respon peserta didik mendapatkan hasil rata-rata 83,2% dengan kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil uji validasi dapat disimpulkan bahwa E-LKPD yang dikembangkan layak untuk diujicobakan. Berdasarkan hasil uji respon peserta didik mendapatkan kategori sangat baik hal ini dapat diartikan bahwa sebagian peserta didik memberikan respon sangat baik terhadap E-LKPD.   Kata kunci: E-lkpd, contextual teaching and learning, system ekskresi kulit manusia   ABSTRACT   This study aims to: 1) Determine the feasibility of E-LKPD based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) in the Human Skin Excretory System for junior high school students, 2) Know the results of student responses to E-LKPD based on Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) students at SMPN 01 Bengkulu City. The method used in this study is Research and Development (R&D) using a 4D model (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). However, this research is only limited to the Development stage. The instruments used in this study are: 1) Interview questionnaire sheet, 2) Material expert and media expert validation questionnaire sheet, 3) Student response questionnaire sheet.  The results of this study showed that the average result of the material expert validation test was 96% with a very valid category. Meanwhile, the media validation test obtained an average result of 95% with a very valid category. In the response test, students got an average result of 83.2% in the very good category. Based on the results of the validation test, it can be concluded that the E-LKPD developed is feasible to be tested. Based on the results of the student response test getting a very good category, this can be interpreted that some students give a very good response to E-LKPD.   Keywords: E-lkpd, contextual teaching and learning, human skin excretory system

Abstract

This study aimed to implement the Cardrat (Carbohydrate) learning media, developed using the “learning by asking” approach and supported by App Inventor, on the biomolecule carbohydrate topic to improve student learning outcomes. The research employed a quasi-experimental design with participants consisting of Science Education students at the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, University of Bengkulu, who had completed the Biochemistry course. The instruments used included validation questionnaires, readability tests, and pretest posttest assessments. Validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible, with scores of 73 and 56 for material and media aspects, respectively. The readability test produced an average score of 83.67, falling into the “very good” category. In terms of learning outcomes, both groups showed improvement. In the control class, the average score increased from 34.52 to 76.54 (N-gain 0.64), while in the experimental class it rose from 35.46 to 80.23 (N-gain 0.69). These findings demonstrate that the Cardrat media, based on a learning-by-asking approach and supported by App Inventor, is more effective in enhancing learning compared to conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to develop interactive learning media based on discovery learning that integrates the local wisdom of Pendap Bengkulu in the topic of food additives, using the 4D development model, which consists of the stages of defining, designing, developing, and disseminating through YouTube and the Unib e-learning platform. The research instruments included validation questionnaires from material experts and media experts to assess product feasibility, student response questionnaires to measure practicality, as well as pretest and posttest to evaluate the effectiveness of the media. Validation results indicated that the media was categorized as highly feasible, with scores of 74 from the material expert, 56 from the media expert, and 35.76 from student assessments, supported by an average student response of 4.35 in the “agree” category. Effectiveness testing also showed an improvement in learning outcomes, as the average pretest score of 56.72 increased to 86.37 in the posttest, with a gain score of 0.68, which falls into the medium category. These findings confirm that the developed media is feasible and effective for use in science learning, while also contributing to the innovation of local wisdom-based media integrated with discovery learning to improve the quality of science education.
