Abstract

Pegagan ialah salah satu jenis tanaman yang berkhasiat sebagai obat. Pada bagian daun dan batangnya mengandung zat kimia diantaranya ialah asiaticosida yang bermanfaat sebagai penyembuhan luka dan antilepra. Tanaman pegagan cenderung tumbuh subur pada kondisi kecukupan air dan kurang mampu beradaptasi terhadap kondisi tekanan kekeringan yang relative tinggi. Air dan unsur hara merupakan suatu komponen penting yang mempengaruhi pertumbuhan tanaman. Air berfungsi sebagai pelarut hara, penyusun protoplasma, bahan baku fotosintesis dan lain sebagainya Nitrogen merupakan unsur hara utama bagi pertumbuhan tanaman, yang pada umumnya sangat diperlukan untuk pembentukan bagian vegetatif tanaman. Kondisi air pada tanah serta keberadaan nutrisi khususnya nitrogen dapat mempengaruhi metabolisme tanaman pegagan yang termasuk didalamnya meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman pegagan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mempelajari dan mengetahui interaksi pemberian air dan dosis pupuk nitrogen yang tepat untuk pertumbuhan pegagan. Penelitian dilaksanakan Maret – Mei 2018 di Venus Orchid and Nursery, Dau Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) factorial terdiri dari dua faktor dan diulang sebanyak tiga kali.Faktor pertama adalah pemberian air berdasarkan persentase kapasitas lapang, diantaranya A1 = 100 % kapasitas lapang ; A2 = 80 % kapasitas lapang ; A3 = 60 % kapasitas lapang. Faktor kedua adalah dosis unsur nitrogen diantaranya P0 = tanpa pupuk nitrogen ; P1 = 69 kg ha-1 ; P2 = 138 kg ha-1.  Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi pemberian air 100% KL dengan pupuk nitrogen 138 kg ha-1 menghasilkan jumlah daun dan jumlah anakan tertinggi.

Abstract

Motorized vehicles contribute to air pollution containing lead. The ability of leaves to absorb pollutants is influenced by leaf characteristics. Stomata are one of the entry points for pollutants, especially from the air, such as lead. The research aims to: obtain information about morphological and anatomical characters and compare between cultivars. Using exploration and characterization methods. Leaf morphology, based on observations of color, shape and size, is different Winnie Gold cultivar has length, L/W, width, Miss Andrea cultivar has higher width, lower L/W. The H. Bonsai cultivar has lower length, width, leaf area than the other 5 cultivars.The anatomy of andong leaves is based on observations of stomata, the same, hypostomatic/abaxial and actinocytic types. The Fire Brand cultivar has a higher number, density, lower width, the H. Bonsai cultivar has a higher length, higher width, lower number, density, the Miss Andrea cultivar has a lower length than the other 5 cultivars.

Abstract

Proper management of nitrogen (N) and potassium (K) is needed to increase maize productivity in the area having low soil fertility due to their crucial role for plant growth and production. The research aimed to analyze the effect of N and K fertilizer doses on growth, production, radiation use and agronomic efficiencies during two years maize cultivation. The research was carried out on March to July 2021 and January to May 2022 in Jatikerto Agro Techno Park, Malang - East Java, Indonesia. The experiment used 16 treatment combinations of nitrogen (0, 38, 77, and 115 kg N/ha in 2021 and 0, 50, 100, 150 kg N ha-1 in 2022) and potassium (0, 33, 67, and 100 kg K ha-1 in 2021 and 0, 50, 100, and 150 kg K ha-1 in 2022) fertilizer rates, and repeated three times of each. Maize growth and production (such as plant height, leaf number, leaf area index, interception photosynthetically active radiation, radiation use efficiency, yield) were significantly increased by application 77 and 150 kg N ha-1 combined with 67 and 150 kg K ha-1. The study found strongly effect of leaf area index and radiation use efficiency in increasing grain yield of maize (R2 = 0.94 and 0.98, respectively). However, the increases fertilizer rates should be anticipated their negative effect on agronomic efficiency. Therefore, proper combination of N and K should be considered to obtain the optimum maize growth and production, as well as maintain radiation use and agronomic efficiencies.
