Abstract

Hydroponics is a planting system in agriculture that uses a mixture of water and nutrient solutions as a growth medium to replace the role of soil in meeting nutrient needs and uses non-soil growing media as a planting technique. Hydroponic wick system is one of the hydroponics that uses the working principle of water capillary action by using the axis as an intermediary for the rise of water from the nutrient container to the plant root area. The research method used was the experimental method using a factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD). There are 2 factors consisting of 16 treatments. The first factor is the type of wick which consists of 4 levels, namely Flannel, Wool, Stove Wick and. The second factor was the type of planting medium which consisted of 4 levels, namely Rockwool, Cocopeat,  Hydroton and Sewdust. Each experiment was repeated 3 times so that a total of 48 experimental units were obtained. The experimental results showed that there was an interaction effect between the type of axis and the planting medium on plant height at 35 and 40 days after planting and number of leaves at 7, 14, 21 and 28 days after planting curly mustard greens (Brassica juncea L.) Samhong King variety in hydroponic wick system. In the flannel axis type, the optimal planting media type is cocopeat planting media with a fresh weight yield of 282,13 g giving the highest yield on the flannel axis type with a yield of 187,84 g.

Abstract

Penggunaan lahan secara terus menerus menjadi faktor utama berkurangnya keanekaragaman hayati didalam tanah. Salah satu solusi untuk mengatasi permasalah tersebut yaitu dengan pemupukan organik dan hayati. Pupuk organik memiliki kandungan unsur hara yang baik untuk tanah sedangkan pupuk hayati dapat berperan sebagai penyedia mikroba yang baik untuk kesuburan tanah, selain itu pupuk hayati dapat berperan membantu mengikat kandungan logam berat yang terdapat pada tanah. Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui jenis pupuk hayati yang memberikan populasi mikroba fungsional, Pb tanah yang rendah dan efeknya terhadap pertumbuhan dan hasil tanaman pakcoy (Brassica rapa L.) Varietas Nauli F1 terhadap pupuk organik yang diberikan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial yang terdiri dari 4 perlakuan dengan 6 ulangan sehingga terdapat 24 unit percobaan. Faktor pertama yaitu o1 (pupuk organik sludge) dan o2 (pupuk organik eceng gondok), sedangkan faktor kedua yaitu h1 (pupuk hayati bion up) dan h2 (pupuk hayati provibio). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan interaksi terbaik antara pupuk eceng gondok dan pupuk provibio (o2h2) memberikan nilai tertinggi terhadap panjang akar 17,52 cm, terdapat interaksi antara pupuk eceng gondok dan bion up (o2h1) serta memberikan nilai tertinggi terhadap bobot segar akar 3,37 cm.

Abstract

Pangkalan Sub-district is a forest edge area in Karawang that is rich in flora and fauna that has not been much identified. Because of its unique location that is bordered by primary forest, agricultural ecosystems in the area will not be separated from the influence of the surrounding forest. So, it is necessary to know more about the diversity and abundance of insects in the wetland rice ecosystems.The research was conducted in Pangkalan sub-district, Karawang regency. The size of each plot was 5 x 5 m (25 m2) and each treatment was repeated five times. Treatments carried out with integrated pest management (IPM), chemical pest management techniques (P-K), and Mixed Pest Management (P-C). Insect retrieval technique using sweep net method, yellow pan trap, and direct observation. The abundance of arthropod species found in 12 Orders consist of: Thysanoptera Order (2.4%), Orthoptera (0.5%), Odonata (1.4%), Mantodea (0%), Lepidoptera (8.7%), Hymenoptera (2.4%), Hemiptera (61.8%), Diptera (2.4%), Derma ptera (3.6%), Coleoptera (8.3%), Architaenioglossa (0.5%), and Aranea (8.0%). Based on the species richness, it was found that the orders of Diptera (25 species), Coleoptera (19 species), and Hymenoptera (18 species) showed higher numbers than other orders. The H 'diversity index in this study ranged from 1.99 to 2.45, the D index ranged from 0.73 to 0.88, and the E index ranged from 0.5 to 0.7. Overall the P-K plots showed a lower population abundance compared to IPM and P-C plots. Intense and scheduled spraying of insecticides on P-K plots causes a lower population abundance, which makes the diversity become low. Abstract

One of the important nutrients in the process of plant growth is nitrogen (N), the provision of sufficient and balanced nitrogen nutrients can also optimize plant growth during the vegetative phase. This experiment was conducted in the Greenhouse of Singaperbangsa University Karawang campus located at Jl. HS. Ronggo Waluyo, East Telukjambe District, Karawang Regency.  The experiment was conducted from September 2023 to December 2023. The experimental method used is the experimental method, using a single-factor Randomized Group Design (RAK) consisting of 4 treatments and 6 replicates consisting of A (0.91 g/polybag), B (1.36 g/polybag), C (1.82 g/polybag), D (2.27 g/polybag). The effect of treatment was analyzed by variance analysis and if the F test at the 5% level was significant, then to find out the best treatment, it was continued with the Smallest Real Difference (BNT) further test at the 5% real level. The results achieved from this study were that there was no effect of N fertilizer application on the growth of oil palm seedlings (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) D x P Yangambi variety in the main nursery. The treatment of N fertilizer dose in treatment B (1.36 g / polybag) gave the highest results in the parameters of plant height, number of leaflets per midrib, length of leaflets, and length of midrib but not significantly different from other treatments. Keywords: main nursery, fertilization, N fertilizer, oil palm, yangambi variety

Abstract

Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) is one of the horticultural crop commodities that is widely consumed. One factor to overcome the level of soil fertility is by providing sufficient fertilizer to restore soil fertility. Fertilizer is the main source of nutrients which are very important for plant growth and yields. This research aims to determine the response of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.) to the application of nitrate-based NPK fertilizer. This trial will be carried out at the PT Pupuk Kujang Cikampek Screenhouse, from October to December 2023. This research used the Completely Randomized Design (CRD) method. There are 6 treatments, namely P0 (control), P1 (Nitrea Urea 0.4g + Phonska 15-10-12 0.6g + NPK Merauke 0.6g + KCl 0.2g), P2 (Nitrea Urea 0.4g + Phonska 15 -10-12 0.6g + NPK Nitroku 0.6g + KCl 0.2g), P3 (Nitrea Urea 0.4g + Phonska 15-10-12 0.6g + NPK 10-10-10 0.6g + KCl 0 .2g), P4 (Nitrea Urea 0.4g + Phonska 15-10-12 0.6g + NPK 10-10-10 0.8g + KCl 0.2g), P5 (Nitrea Urea 0.4g + Phonska 15-10 -12 0.6g + NPK 10-10-10 1g + KCl 0.2g). Each treatment was repeated 4 times to obtain 24 experimental units. The experimental results showed that the application of nitrate-based NPK fertilizer was not able to have a real effect on the growth and yield of shallot plants (Allium ascalonicum L.) for all observations.

Abstract

Sistem tanam tumpangsari telah lama diterapkan dalam praktik pertanian sebagai upaya untuk meningkatkan efisiensi lahan dan hasil panen, terutama pada tanaman pangan. Salah satu kombinasi yang potensial adalah tumpangsari tanaman jagung dan bawang merah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan kombinasi galur hibrida jagung (Zea mays L.) dengan tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.) terbaik berdasarkan evaluasi sistem tanam tumpangsari. Penelitian dilakukan di lahan Politeknik Kelautan dan Perikanan, Karangpawitan, Kec. Karawang Barat, Kab. Karawang pada Februari-Mei 2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal yang terdiri dari 13 perlakuan dengan 3 kali ulangan: V1; V2; V3; V4; V5; V6; V7; V8; V9; V10; V11; V12; V13. Pengaruh perlakuan dianalisis dengan analisis ragam (ANOVA) uji F taraf 5%. Apabila uji F signifikan, dilanjutkan dengan uji lanjut DMRT (Duncan Multiple Range Test) pada taraf 5%. Hasil evaluasi tumpangsari menunjukkan perlakuan V10 memiliki nilai tertinggi pada LER sebesar 3,37 dan Agresivitas sebesar 0,27. Perlakuan V12 memiliki nilai RCC tertinggi 7,43 dan perlakuan V1 memiliki nilai CR tertinggi 10,68 pada tanaman jagung.

Abstract

Kelapa sawit merupakan salah satu komoditas perkebunan yang sangat penting di Indonesia karena merupakan salah satu sumber pendapatan devisa nonmigas yang cukup besar. Dalam budidaya kelapa sawit, pembibitan menjadi salah satu kunci keberhasilan penanaman di lapangan. Pada fase pembibitan ini, terutama pada fase Main Nursery pemupukan menjadi salah satu hal yang sangat penting. Salahsatunya pemupukan dengan pupuk kieserite. Pupuk Kieserite adalah magnesium yang sangat cocok untuk menyeimbangkan nutrisi dalam sistem pertanian intensif yang bertujuan untuk menghasilkan hasil tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk mendapatkan dosis pupuk Kieserite yang memberikan pertumbuhan bibit tanaman kelapa sawit (Elaeis guineensis Jacq.) terbaik pada setiap jenis varietas pada fase Main Nursery. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode eksperimen dengan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor dengan setiap perlakuan diulang sebanyak 4 kali dan setiapperlakuan diambil 3 sampel, sehingga total terdapat 72 tanaman sampel. Faktor pertama yaitu varietas (V) memiliki 2 taraf yaitu v1 (varietas DxP Yangambi) dan v2 (varietas DyxP Sungai Pancur 1 (Dumpy). Faktor kedua yaitu dosis pupuk kieserite (K) memiliki 3 taraf yaitu k1 (6 gram/bibit), k2 (9 gram/bibit), dan k3 (12 gram/bibit). Hasil analisis menunjukkan terdapat interaksi perlakuan varietas kelapa sawit dan dosis pupuk kieserite pada parameter pengamatan laju pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman, laju pertumbuhan jumlah pelepah per tanaman, dan luas daun. Dosis pupuk kieserite 9 gram/bibit pada varietas DxP Yangambi memberikan hasil tertinggi pada parameter laju pertumbuhan tinggi tanaman dan luas daun sedangkan Dosis pupuk kieserite 6 gram/bibit pada varietas DyxP Dumpy memberikan hasil terbaik pada parameter laju pertumbuhan jumlah pelepah per tanaman dan luas daun.

Abstract

Kedelai merupakan tanaman polong yang menjadi sumber protein bagi sebagian besar masyarakat di Indonesia. Produksi kedelai di Indonesia cenderung terus menurun akibat adanya degradasi lahan, diperlukan pemberian pupuk organik cair keong mas untuk meningkatkan serapan hara dan meningkatkan produktivitas tanaman kedelai. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode eksperimen, dengan rancangan acak kelompok (RAK) faktor tunggal, terdiri dari 5 perlakuan dan 5 ulangan. Perlakuan konsentrasi pupuk organik cair (POC) keong mas terdiri dari P0 (kontrol), P1 (200 ml/l), P2 (300 ml/l), P3 (400 ml/l), P4 (500 ml/l). Data hasil pengamatan dianalisis dengan analisis sidik ragam dan diuji lanjut dengan Duncan Multiple Range Test (DMRT) pada taraf 5%. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, terdapat pengaruh nyata pada tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun, bagan warna daun, bobot polong basah, bobot polong kering dan bobot 100 biji. Perlakuan P4 (500 ml/l) memberikan hasil terbaik terhadap tinggi tanaman (11,24-30,79 cm), jumlah daun (6,73-18,03 helai), bobot polong basah (498,80 gram), bobot polong kering (283,60 gram) dan bobot 100 biji (21,80 gram).

Abstract

Intercropping is a cropping pattern involving more than one crop grown simultaneously on the same area of land during a certain planting period. The proportion of plants is a composition of the number of plants on one land area with an adjusted planting distance. This study aims to determine plant growth and the best proportion of the number of plants based on the value of intercropping evaluation parameters in flower cabbage (Brassica oleracea L var. PM 126) and peanut (Arachis hypogaea var. Kancil). The research was conducted at the Experimental Field, Telukjambe Village, East Telukjambe Sub-district, Karawang Regency starting in January 2023 until April 2023. The research used an experimental method of single-factor Randomised Group Design (RAK) environmental design, with 5 replications, K1 = 100% flower cabbage (control), K2 = 25% flower cabbage and 75% peanut, K3 = 50% flower cabbage and 50% peanut, K4 = 75% flower cabbage and 25% peanut, K5 = 100% peanut (control). Data were statistically analysed with the F table test at 5% and the Least Significant Difference (BNT) test at the 5% level. The best proportion is treatment K4 = 75% flower cabbage and 25% peanuts by producing a Land Equivalency Value (NKL) of 1.13.
