Abstract

The study aimed at finding out in dept about the interaction between Problem Posing model assisted with Autograph Software with the student?s gender  to students' mathematical communication ability. This study used quantitative research with quasi experimental method. The approach used was a scientific one. The population of this study were all the Class X students of MAN Kisaran. The sample in this study were the students of class X-IPA1 and X-IPA-2 in MAN Kisaran of Asahan Regency. This study was conducted in the even semester of the academic year 2017/2018. Data analysis was done by 2-way ANOVA test. Based on the statistical calculation, it can be concluded that the value of Fcount<Ftable is 0.778 <3.12. This shows that Fcount<Ftable(0.778 <3.12) is not significant so that it can be concluded that H0 is accepted and Ha is rejected which means there is no interaction between learning with students? gender. The finding of students? actitivity aspects is based on direct observation. Female students are more active in learning but are weaker in reasoning, meanwhile Male ones are quick in reasoning but are less active in learning.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a math book based on multiple intelligences that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. The development model applied is the Plomp model, consisting of the initial research, development, and assessment phases. Data analysis of validity and practicality was carried out by converting quantitative data in the form of assessment scores into qualitative data on a scale of five. Effectiveness data analysis based on test results was carried out by determining the percentage of student learning completeness and for the results of questionnaires and attitude observations carried out by determining the percentage of students in each category. Based on the validation results, the developed math book has a valid category. The test results show that the developed math book has a practical and effective category. Mathematics books reached the very practical category for teacher assessment and the practical category for the results of observing the implementation of the learning process and student assessment. Mathematics books also achieved the effective category based on the results of the competency test and multiple intelligences questionnaire.

Abstract

In-Service Teacher Professional Education is a program designed to improve the quality of teachers who are already in the office or are currently actively teaching. This program is carried out online, so this program also has several difficulties faced by students. This research was conducted at Asahan University to examine the difficulties of implementing lectures. Data was collected from 85 respondents. The main obstacles faced by students include internet network problems, technical obstacles, time constraints, difficulties in understanding the material, and adapting to change. The difficulties faced by PPG Daljab students require holistic attention from educational institutions. The government and educational institutions need to respond to these findings to ensure effective and inclusive learning in the context of PPG Daljab.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the mathematics learning outcomes of students at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran on the One Variable Linear Equation System (SPLSV) material using the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran in class VII-2, totaling 32 students. Based on the research results, it was found that there were 2 students with very high criteria with a percentage of 6.25%, 11 people with high criteria 34.375%, 17 people with medium criteria with a percentage of 53.125%, 2 people with low criteria and an average score of students obtained in mathematics learning was 20.28 with a percentage of 81%, this value is said to be included in the good category. This means that the mathematics learning carried out by class VII-2 students at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran is considered good.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII-3 students at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran and the mathematics learning outcomes of class VII-3 students at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran in terms of gender. This type of research is descriptive research with data collection using qualitative and quantitative data. This research was carried out at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research subjects consisted of 1 class with 32 students. The data analysis technique uses descriptive analysis. Based on the research results, it was concluded that mathematics learning outcomes in terms of gender in class VII-3 students at SMP Negeri 3 Kisaran, 16 male students obtained an average score of 29,375, while female students obtained an average score of 29,375. 31.6875. Female students are categorized as superior in learning outcomes for completing final semester exam questions compared to male students.

Abstract

Problem solving ability is one of the important key skills in mathematics which is suitable to be combined with the Problem Based Learning learning model. This research aims to describe the mathematical problem-solving abilities of students who have high, medium and low mathematical abilities in the material of multiplication of algebraic fractions at SMPN 3 Kisaran located in Asahan district, North Sumatra. This research uses descriptive qualitative, namely a type of research that aims to describe phenomena or events observed in detail and in depth. This research method often uses data collection techniques in the form of test results on problem solving abilities per indicator. The results of research from 32 students showed that the high group consisted of 9 students with a percentage of 28.125%, the medium group had 18 students with a percentage of 56.25%, and the low group consisted of 5 students with a percentage of 15.625%.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the level of mathematical problem solving ability of class VIII-1 students at SMPN 3 Kisaran on the material of systems of linear equations in two variables (SPLDV). This research is a qualitative descriptive study with an instrument in the form of test questions consisting of 5 problem solving questions in the form of descriptions. The sample for this research was all students in class VIII-1 consisting of 32 students. This sample selection used a purposive sampling technique because the researcher had certain considerations so that the research subjects met the criteria desired by the researcher. Based on data analysis carried out regarding the level of students' mathematical problem solving abilities in the SPLDV material, it shows that the mathematical problem solving abilities of students in class VIII-1 SMPN 3 Kisaran fall into three categories, namely as follows: 6 students or 18.75% have problem solving abilities that are classified in the "high" category. 23 students or 71.875% have problem solving abilities that are classified in the "medium" category. And 3 students or 9.375% have problem solving abilities that are classified as "low".

Abstract

This community service activity aims to increase awareness and understanding regarding bullying prevention at MTs Alwasliyah Sei Kepayang Tengah through the "Stop Bullying" outreach program. With an educational approach, this activity involves students, teachers and parents to understand the types of bullying, its impact and prevention strategies that can be implemented. This program was designed using participatory methods. The results of the activity showed an increase in participants' understanding, where knowledge about bullying increased from 35% to 88%. Teachers also show better abilities in detecting and handling bullying cases. Apart from that, this program succeeded in forming an Anti-Bullying Team as a sustainable effort to create a conducive school environment. In conclusion, this education-based collaborative approach is effective in preventing bullying and can be a model for other schools.

Abstract

Wordwall is an application that can be used as a learning media, learning resource and/or as an online assessment tool that is interesting for students. 37 Wordwall application is a website application that can be used to create learning media such as quizzes, matching, pairing, random words, word searches, grouping and so on. This research is motivated because students have low interest in learning mathematics. Interest is an activity carried out by students consistently in the learning process. Researchers conducted Class Action Research (CAR) as an effort to create active, creative and innovative learning that can increase students' interest in learning mathematics through the use of wordwall media in learning. CAR is carried out in two cycles. CAR is carried out in three cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection activities. The results of the study showed that the analysis of students' interest in learning mathematics based on the wordwall website can increase students' interest in learning. In the results of cycle I, an increase in the good category was obtained with a percentage of 70% with 22 students in class VII-3 of SMPN 3 Kisaran, while in cycle II, students experienced an increase in learning interest with a very good category totaling 26 students in class VII-3 of SMPN 3 Kisaran with a percentage of 80%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik pada materi fungsi komposisi dan fungsi kuadrat melalui penerapan model Problem Based Learning (PBL). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI di SMA Negeri 3 Kisaran. Pada siklus I, hasil menunjukkan bahwa dari 34 siswa, 18 siswa (52,94%) mencapai ketuntasan, sedangkan 16 siswa (47,06%) belum tuntas, dengan rata-rata nilai siswa sebesar 65. Setelah perbaikan dilakukan pada siklus II, terdapat peningkatan signifikan dengan 30 siswa (88,24%) mencapai ketuntasan dan hanya 4 siswa (11,76%) yang belum tuntas. Rata-rata nilai siswa pada siklus II mencapai 86,76, dengan nilai tertinggi 100 dan nilai terendah 70. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan PBL efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konsep matematis peserta didik, serta mendorong keterlibatan aktif dan kolaboratif dalam proses pembelajaran
