Abstract

The purpose of this research is to produce a math book based on multiple intelligences that meets the criteria of being valid, practical, and effective. The development model applied is the Plomp model, consisting of the initial research, development, and assessment phases. Data analysis of validity and practicality was carried out by converting quantitative data in the form of assessment scores into qualitative data on a scale of five. Effectiveness data analysis based on test results was carried out by determining the percentage of student learning completeness and for the results of questionnaires and attitude observations carried out by determining the percentage of students in each category. Based on the validation results, the developed math book has a valid category. The test results show that the developed math book has a practical and effective category. Mathematics books reached the very practical category for teacher assessment and the practical category for the results of observing the implementation of the learning process and student assessment. Mathematics books also achieved the effective category based on the results of the competency test and multiple intelligences questionnaire.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa SMP dengan pendekatan Discovery Learning  pada materi perbandingan senilai dan berbalik nilai. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriprif kualitatif. Subjek penelitian ini siswa kelas VII-2 SMPN 6 Kisaran sebanyak 32 siswa, kemudian dilakukan reduksi dengan mengambil tiga siswa yang mempunyai kemampuan penalaran tinggi, sedang, dan rendah. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar tes kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa dan pedoman wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data diperoleh hasil bahwa ketiga subjek mempunyai pemahaman yang cukup baik dengan menggunakan pendekatan Discovery Learningdalam pembelajaran. Siswa dalam kategori kemampuan penalaran tinggi mampu menguasai lima indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis. Siswa dalam kategori kemampuan penalaran sedang mampu menguasai empat indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis. Siswa dalam kategori kemampuan penalaran rendah mampu menguasai dua indikator kemampuan penalaran matematis.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis keaktifan belajar siswa kelas VII UPTD SMP Negeri 6 Kisaran dalam pembelajaran Matematika, khususnya pada materi Perbandingan Senilai dan Perbandingan Berbalik Nilai, dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif, melibatkan 32 siswa dan mengumpulkan data melalui observasi serta wawancara. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa model Team Games Tournament (TGT) berhasil meningkatkan keaktifan siswa yang diukur melalui 10 indikator keaktifan. Selain itu, tingkat antusiasme siswa meningkat, dan mereka merasa lebih menyukai proses pembelajaran. Penerapan model Team Games Tournament (TGT) berhasil menciptakan suasana pembelajaran yang segar, kondusif, dan mendorong partisipasi aktif siswa. Kesimpulannya, model pembelajaran Team Games Tournament (TGT) efektif dalam meningkatkan keaktifan belajar siswa pada materi Matematika Perbandingan Senilai dan Perbandingan Berbalik Nilai di UPTD SMP Negeri 6 Kisaran.

Abstract

In-Service Teacher Professional Education is a program designed to improve the quality of teachers who are already in the office or are currently actively teaching. This program is carried out online, so this program also has several difficulties faced by students. This research was conducted at Asahan University to examine the difficulties of implementing lectures. Data was collected from 85 respondents. The main obstacles faced by students include internet network problems, technical obstacles, time constraints, difficulties in understanding the material, and adapting to change. The difficulties faced by PPG Daljab students require holistic attention from educational institutions. The government and educational institutions need to respond to these findings to ensure effective and inclusive learning in the context of PPG Daljab.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat teknologi di era digital menuntut perubahan mendasar dalam sistem pendidikan. Kurikulum Merdeka hadir sebagai respons terhadap tuntutan tersebut, dengan fokus pada pengembangan kompetensi holistik peserta didik. Penelitian ini menggarisbawahi pentingnya pembelajaran matematika dalam Kurikulum Merdeka sebagai fondasi bagi siswa untuk menghadapi kompleksitas tantangan abad 21. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengeksplorasi strategi pengembangan keterampilan abad 21 melalui penggunaan media Canva dalam model pembelajaran Prolem Based Learning (PBL) pada materi statistika di tingkat SMA. Subjek penelitian ini adalah 30 orang siswa kelas X SMAN 4 Kisaran. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian studi kasus yang menggunakan berbagai teknik pengumpulan data, antara lain wawancara, observasi, dan kuesioner. Pengolahan data dilakukan secara berurutan dari awal sampai akhir. Pertama, mereduksi data melalui proses abstraksi hasil observasi, catatan lapangan, dan wawancara. Seluruh data yang diperoleh dari observasi, wawancara, dan kuesioner dikumpulkan, diseleksi, dikategorikan, dan dievaluasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat perkembangan yang signifikan pada keterampilan abad 21 yang terjadi kepada peserta didik ketika melaksanakan pembelajaran model PBL dengan media canva.

Abstract

Motivation to learn is important so that students can undergo the learning process well. So, it is necessary to implement good learning media to help increase student learning motivation. The learning media applied in this research is the Geogebra application because of its suitability for geometric transformation material. This research was carried out to increase the learning motivation of class IX students through the application of geogebra learning media at SMP Negeri 1 Kisaran. Researchers collected data using quantitative descriptive methods. Research instruments include direct interviews with teachers and students, as well as online questionnaires via Google Form. Students who are involved in learning with Geogebra show a higher level of participation and are more enthusiastic in learning geometric transformation material. Apart from that, they also achieved higher concept understanding test results than students who studied conventionally. This research provides an important contribution in supporting the use of technology in mathematics learning, especially in the context of geometric transformations, and provides recommendations for teachers and educational policy makers to expand the use of technology-based learning media in the learning process

Abstract

This research aims to describe students' ability to understand mathematical concepts for each indicator so that it is known which indicators students experience problems with. This research also aims to determine the level of ability of students based on ability level categories. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative. The instrument used in this research was a question/test of the ability to understand mathematical concepts, consisting of 4 validated questions. This research was carried out in class IX-11 of SMP Negeri 1 Kisaran which was carried out in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. Only 50% of students were able to fulfill the indicators of restating concepts, 77% of students were able to fulfill the indicators of classifying and grouping objects according to certain properties in accordance with their concepts, 56% of students who were able to fulfill the indicators were developing the concepts they already had, and 17% of students were able to meet the indicators of using and utilizing and choosing certain procedures or operations and applying them to problem solving. Furthermore, the research results showed that the level of understanding of mathematical concepts in the high category was 4 people or 13.33%, the level of understanding of mathematical concepts in the medium category was 22 people or 74.33%, and the level of understanding of mathematical concepts in the high category was 4 people or 13.33%. Researchers can conclude that students are still experiencing problems in the first and third indicators because 50% of students have not yet reached these indicators.

Abstract

This community service program aims to address the impact of conventional teaching methods that reduce students' learning interest and achievement at UPTD SD Negeri 13 Binjai Baru. By utilizing technology-based learning media, Smart Box, the program is designed to create more interactive and relevant learning experiences. The methods include socialization to build support, technical training for teachers and students, the application of Smart Box in learning, mentoring to ensure effectiveness, and sustainability planning. The implementation of this program successfully increased student participation from 45% to 78% and improved the learning interest score from 5.2 to 8.7 on a scale of 1–10, with a positive impact on students' critical thinking skills. In conclusion, Smart Box has proven effective as a technology-based learning innovation, particularly in primary education environments with limited infrastructure, and can be replicated with training and mentoring support from the government or education authorities.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students' problem solving abilities in composition and inverse function material using the Problem Based Learning model for students in class X-6 at SMA N 4 Kisaran for the 2024/2025 academic year. The subjects in this research were 36 students in class X-6. This type of research is classroom action research which is carried out in two cycles. The research instruments used in this research were tests and observations. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out qualitatively and the results of the actions were in the form of quantitative scores. This research shows that the average score in the pre-test does not reach the classical completeness percentage, namely only 61.11%. After implementing the problem based learning model, the percentage of post-test completeness in cycle I was 69.45%, so the percentage of completeness had not been achieved, so it continued in cycle II, increasing by 88.89%. Likewise, with student activity, the percentage of student activity in cycle I was 72.22%, then increased in cycle II by 84.67%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the problem based learning model can improve the problem solving abilities and activeness of students in class X-6 of SMA Negeri 4 Kisaran.

Abstract

Transformasi pembelajaran di era digital menuntut penerapan teknologi informasi yang efektif dalam proses pendidikan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk membangun literasi dan numerasi unggul melalui penerapan kompetensi TPACK (Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge) oleh para guru di UPT. SD Negeri 03 Perkebunan Sipare-Pare. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk melihat bagaimana penerapan kompetensi TPACK dapat membantu meningkatkan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan ini melalui 4 kegiatan yaitu sosialisasi, pelatihan, penerapan teknologi, pendampingan dan evaluasi. Kegiatan pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa integrasi kompetensi TPACK dalam proses pembelajaran memberikan dampak positif yang signifikan terhadap peningkatan kemampuan literasi dan numerasi siswa. Guru yang menguasai TPACK dapat memanfaatkan teknologi dengan lebih optimal dalam mengajar, sehingga menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang lebih interaktif dan efektif. Kegiatan ini merekomendasikan peningkatan pelatihan TPACK secara berkelanjutan bagi para guru sebagai langkah strategis untuk mencapai pendidikan yang lebih berkualitas di sekolah dasar.
