Abstract

Low born weight (LBW)  is a condition when a baby is born weighing less than 2500 grams, where this situation will have a negative impact on the development of the baby in the future. Proper nutrition is an important factor to support the growth and development of premature babies. Many factors influence nutritional status to make it better, including breastfeeding and Kangaroo Treatment (PMK). The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of parental involvement in providing nutrition and PMK on increasing body weight in LBW. The research design used was quantitative with a quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control group design approaches. The research sample consisted of 36 people consisting of 18 people in the intervention group and 18 people in the control group. This research was conducted in the Perinatology Room of the Tarakan Hospital, Jakarta. The results showed an overview of weight gain in the intervention group of 35.00 grams with p-value = 0,000 (p <0,000) and in the control group of 20.00 grams with p-value = 0.256 (p> 0,000). Parental involvement in nutrition and KMC has the largest difference than routine intervention in the room program, so the intervention of parental involvement in nutrition and KMC  has more influence on increasing body weight in LBW. Kata Kunci : Low Born Weight, Parental Involvement, Nutrition, Kangaroo Care Methods

Abstract

Namun, kurangnya akses informasi berbasis digital mengenai kesehatan anak membuat orang tua sering menyepelekan pemantauan pertumbuhan dan perkembangan anak usia dini, sehingga terlambat melakukan intervensi.

Abstract

ntroduction: Autism spectrum disorder (ASD) is a neurodevelopmental condition with an increasing global prevalence that demands effective intervention strategies. Cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) is a well-researched approach for treating various co-occurring disorders in children with ASD. However, despite the growing volume of research, there remains a lack of comprehensive bibliometric analysis that maps global trends, thematic focus, and collaboration patterns in CBT-related ASD studies, highlighting a critical gap that this study seeks to address. Methods: This study used a bibliometric approach to analyze global research trends in CBT for treating children with ASD. It analyzed 148 articles published between 2007 and 2025. Data were collected from the Scopus database and analyzed using VOSviewer, Harzing's Publish or Perish, and Microsoft Excel. This bibliometric analysis provides a novel perspective by quantitatively mapping the evolution of research, identifying underexplored themes, and revealing disparities in scientific contributions between developed and developing countries, an area that has received limited attention in existing CBT-ASD literature. Results: The results showed a significant upward trend in publications on CBT for ASD since 2007, peaking by 2025. The United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia dominated the geographical distribution of research, whereas developing countries had limited contributions. Collaboration patterns revealed strong connections between developed countries, with the United States as the main center. This study focused on the effectiveness of CBT in managing anxiety disorders, improving social skills, and addressing comorbidities, such as obsessive-compulsive disorder and sleep problems. However, there are research gaps in the application of CBT for severe ASD and in the involvement of developing countries. Conclusion: This study offers a novel bibliometric insight into the evolution and focus of CBT research in ASD, highlighting underexplored areas for future inquiry. Its implications can be extended to health practitioners, policymakers, educators, and researchers. Future research should explore the adaptation of CBT to various cultural contexts and ASD severity, utilizing technological advancements and multidisciplinary collaboration to provide more inclusive and accessible interventions for children with ASD worldwide.

Abstract

Prematurely born babies often face a range of complex issues such as body temperature instability, cardiovascular problems, fluctuations in blood pressure and heart rate, and respiratory disorders. Improper positioning exacerbates these challenges by compromising their underdeveloped homeostatic mechanisms, leading to physiological instability. Purpose: This study aimed to investigate the impact of the quarter-prone position on the hemodynamic status and sleep duration of premature infants. Methods: A quantitative approach was employed using a quasi-experimental research design with a pre-post control group. The study was conducted at one of urban hospitals in Indonesia over a one-month period from February to July 2023. Thirty-two participants were divided into intervention and control groups. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis Independent T-Test. Results: There are no statistically significant differences among the control and intervention groups (p-value > 0.005). that there is significant statistical difference among two group at post-test at all variables (p-value : 0.00) Discussion The quarter-prone position, in conjunction with environmental factors like noise and lighting, influences the respiratory rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation, and sleep duration of premature infants. Nurses are encouraged to implement the quarter-prone position in caring for premature babies to enhance nursing quality and improve their overall quality of life. This approach is supported by its potential impact on the growth and developmental outcomes of premature infants in the long term.

Abstract

Opportunistic infections are one of the leading causes of morbidity and mortality in children with HIV/AIDS. These infections can be prevented through lifelong adherence to antiretroviral (ARV) therapy and strong family support. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family support and adherence to ARV medication with the incidence of opportunistic infections in children with HIV/AIDS. The study employed a cross-sectional design. The respondents were 50 children with HIV/AIDS receiving treatment at RSPI Sulianti Saroso Jakarta, selected using purposive sampling. Data were analyzed using the Chi-square test and Logistic Regression for multivariate analysis. The results indicated a significant relationship between family support including emotional support (p = 0.002), appraisal support (p = 0.001), instrumental support (p = 0.001), and informational support (p = 0.009) as well as ARV adherence (p = 0.001) with the incidence of opportunistic infections. Multivariate analysis revealed that instrumental support had the greatest influence, with p = 0.012 and Exp (B) = 1.458, indicating that children with low instrumental support had a 1.46 times higher risk of developing opportunistic infections compared to those with adequate support. There is a significant association between family support and ARV adherence with the occurrence of opportunistic infections in children with HIV/AIDS. Strengthening family-based nursing interventions focus on empowering parents to provide instrumental support such as meeting nutritional needs, ensuring access to healthcare services, and supervising ARV adherence is essential to improving the quality of life of children with HIV/AIDS.
