Abstract

Tomato (Solanum lycopersicum L.) is one of the vegetable commodities cultivated by farmers in Indonesia and is considered a multifunctional crop. In addition to being consumed as a vegetable, tomatoes are also used as raw materials in the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries, as well as in food processing. This research was conducted at the Research Field of Pembangunan Panca Budi University, located in Dusun 3, Sampe Cita Village, Kutalimbaru District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, at an altitude of approximately 500 meters above sea level. The aim of the study was to determine the effect of cow manure and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (POC) on the growth and yield of tomato plants. The experiment employed a factorial randomized block design (RBD) with two factors, namely cow manure (K) and banana peel liquid organic fertilizer (C), each replicated three times. Factor I consisted of cow manure application (K) at four levels: K0 = 0 kg/plot, K1 = 1.5 kg/plot, and K2 = 3 kg/plot. Factor II consisted of banana peel POC application (C) at four levels: C0 = 0 ml/L water/plot, C1 = 175 ml/L water/plot, C2 = 350 ml/L water/plot, and C3 = 525 ml/L water/plot. The results showed that the application of cow manure and the concentration of banana peel POC significantly influenced plant height, stem diameter, number of fruits per plot, fruit weight per sample, total fruit weight per plot, and fruit diameter. Abstract

Shallots (Allium ascalonicum L.) are a popular vegetable crop in Indonesia because are the main raw material for cooking spices and medicines. This research used a Factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with two treatments, namelu Chicken Manure Fertilizer and Eco Enzyme. Chicken Manure Fertilizer (K) consists of 4 treatment levels, namely K0 = 0 g/polybag, K1 = 250 g/polybag, K2 = 500 g/polybag, K3 = 750 g/polybag. Eco Enzyme (E) consists of 4 treatment level, namely E0 = 0 ml/ litrer water/plot, E1 = 10 ml/liter water plot, E2 = 20ml/liter water /plot, E3 = 30 ml/ liter water/plot. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) Faktorial dengan dua perlakuan yaitu pupuk Kotoran Ayam dan Eco Enzyme. Pupuk Kotoran Ayam (K) terdiri dari 4 taraf perlakuan yaitu K0 = 0 g/polybag, K1 = 250 g/polybag, K2 = 500 g/polybag, K3 = 750 g/polybag. Abstract

Abstract: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of chicken manure organic fertilizer and eco-enzyme on the growth and yield of shallot (Allium ascalonicum L.). The research was conducted at Jalan Tani Asli No. 03, Dusun I, Desa Tanjung Gusta, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, North Sumatra. The experiment used a factorial Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with 2 factors, 2 blocks, and 32 treatment combinations. The first factor was chicken manure organic fertilizer (A) with four levels: A0 = 100% topsoil, A1 = 75% topsoil + 25% chicken manure, A2 = 50% topsoil + 50% chicken manure, and A3 = 25% topsoil + 75% chicken manure. The second factor was eco-enzyme (E) with four levels: E0 = 0 ml/300 ml water/plant, E1 = 10 ml/300 ml, E2 = 20 ml/300 ml, and E3 = 30 ml/300 ml. Observed parameters included plant height, number of tillers, fresh bulb weight per plot, dry bulb weight per plot, and bulb diameter per sample. The results showed that chicken manure significantly affected all measured parameters, while the application of eco-enzyme and the interaction between both factors did not have a significant effect.Keywords: : Chicken Manure Organic Fertilizer, Ecoenzymes, Shallots. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengevaluasi pengaruh pupuk organik kotoran ayam dan ekoenzim terhadap pertumbuhan serta hasil tanaman bawang merah (Allium ascalonicum L.). Penelitian dilaksanakan di Jalan Tani Asli No. 03, Dusun I, Desa Tanjung Gusta, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Metode yang digunakan adalah Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dengan 2 faktor, 2 blok, dan 32 kombinasi perlakuan. Faktor pertama adalah pupuk organik kotoran ayam (A) dengan empat taraf: A0 = 100% topsoil, A1 = 75% topsoil + 25% kotoran ayam, A2 = 50% topsoil + 50% kotoran ayam, dan A3 = 25% topsoil + 75% kotoran ayam. Faktor kedua adalah ekoenzim (E) dengan empat taraf: E0 = 0 ml/300 ml air/tanaman, E1 = 10 ml/300 ml, E2 = 20 ml/300 ml, dan E3 = 30 ml/300 ml. Parameter yang diamati meliputi tinggi tanaman, jumlah anakan, bobot umbi basah per plot, bobot umbi kering per plot, dan diameter umbi per sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pupuk kotoran ayam berpengaruh sangat nyata pada seluruh parameter, sedangkan pemberian ekoenzim maupun interaksi keduanya tidak memberikan pengaruh signifikan.Kata kunci: Bawang Merah, Ekoenzim, Pupuk Organik Kotoran Ayam.

Abstract

Improving the productivity of shallots through the continuous application of inorganic fertilizers can result in decreased land productivity; one way to overcome further impacts that will arise from such use is through the provision of organic matter. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of planting media and ecoenzyme treatment on shallot production. This study used a factorial randomized block design which consisted of 2 treatment factors, namely first factor was Planting Media (M) consisting of M0: 100% topsoil, M1: topsoil (75%) + chicken manure compost (25%), M2: topsoil (50%) + chicken manure compost (50% and M3: topsoil (25%) + chicken manure compost (75%). The second factor was Ecoenzyme (E) which consists of 0, 10, 20 and 30ml. Plant observations included wet tuber weight per plot (g), dry bulb weight per plot (g) and tuber diameter (mm). Data analysis method was analysis of variance and further test for real treatment using Duncan’s multiple Range Test. The results obtained that the provision of planting media in the form of 75% topsoil + 25% compost was able to respond to the production of shallots. Ecoenzyme and the interaction between ecoenzyme in the growing media gave an insignificant effect on the production of shallots as wet tuber weight per plot, dry bulb weight per plot and tuber diameter.
