Abstract

Education aims to improve the quality of life of the nation through the important role of teachers and lecturers in the learning process. Effective learning should focus on modernization activities, aiming to create a creative and fun learning environment. Education is also a lifelong process to form a fully mature human being. Technology development reinforces the importance of education in shaping character and critical thinking. To achieve a good quality of education, an effective learning model is needed, such as Project Based Learning (PjBL). PjBL, as a learner-centered approach, enhances critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills through real projects. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 7 Padang, using qualitative methods with descriptive analysis. The results showed that the use of PjBL in learning history improved material understanding, critical thinking skills, collaboration, independence, creativity, learning motivation, and student learning outcomes. PjBL also provides a more authentic assessment, although it faces challenges such as time management and limited resources. This research provides evidence that PjBL can improve the quality of history learning in schools

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebutuhan pengembangan media video trailer node guna meningkatkan minat belajar siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah di SMA N 4 Sumatera Barat. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D), mengimplementasikan model ADDIE (Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, Evaluasi) pada proses analisis. Perolehan data melalui observasi dan wawancara di SMA N 4 Sumatera Barat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media video trailer node, yang menyajikan materi sejarah secara visual dan dinamis, efektif dalam meningkatkan minat belajar siswa serta mempermudah pemahaman materi. Analisis peserta didik mengungkapkan rendahnya minat siswa terhadap sejarah disebabkan oleh penggunaan media yang monoton. Kurikulum yang diterapkan adalah Kurikulum Merdeka untuk Kelas XI Fase F, mencakup materi seperti Proklamasi Kemerdekaan Indonesia. Tujuan pembelajaran meliputi: menganalisis pengaruh Perang Dunia II, mengidentifikasi persiapan Proklamasi, dan menganalisis dampak permasalahan kehidupan bangsa. Penggunaan media video trailer node sebagai alat pembelajaran inovatif dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran bagi siswa, guru, dan sekolah.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini penerapan Model Pembelajaran Group Investigation untuk meningkatkan aktivitas diskusi siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah dengan menerapkan model pembelajaran group Investigation pada siswa kelas X Fase E.9 SMAN 9 Padang. Metode peneltian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (Classroom Action Research). Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini mencakup Observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi serta penggunaan catatan lapangan. Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh rendahnya aktivitas diskusi siswa dalam kelompok, dimana hanya siswa yang sadar belajar saja yang terlibat. Dengan menerapkan model penelitian kelompok, keaktifan siswa berdiskusi meningkat sebesar 44,75% pada Siklus 1, meningkat menjadi 71,89% pada Siklus 2. Dari hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Cooperative learning tipe Group Investigation meningkatkan kinerja siswa dalam diskusi kelompok pada pembelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to conduct a needs analysis of the development of animated videos as a learning medium for History for students in class XI IPS. The background of this research is the lack of utilization of learning media in the teaching and learning process, especially in History subjects, as well as the low causality thinking skills in students at SMA Negeri 16 Padang. The research method used in this research is descriptive qualitative with data collection techniques through observation and interviews. The results of the analysis of teachers and students found that teachers still tend to use the lecture method in delivering history subject matter to students so that it does not provide learning experiences to students. In addition, learning media is needed that can overcome the problem of low causality thinking skills in students. So a solution is needed by using animated video media innovations that are interactive. Animated videos are expected to be a solution to problems related to low causality thinking skills in students, so that effective history learning will be created and learning objectives will be achieved. Keywords: Needs Analysis, History Learning, Animated Video, Development, Causality Thinking ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melakukan analisis kebutuhan terhadap pengembangan video animasi sebagai media pembelajaran Sejarah bagi siswa kelas XI IPS. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran dalam proses belajar mengajar terutama pada mata pelajaran Sejarah, serta rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kausalitas pada siswa di SMA Negeri 16 Padang. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data melalui observasi dan wawancara. Hasil dari analisis guru dan peserta didik ditemukan bahwa guru masih cenderung menggunakan metode ceramah dalam menyampaikan materi pelajaran sejarah kepada siswa sehingga kurang memberikan pengalaman belajar kepada siswa. Selain itu dibutuhkan media pembelajaran yang mampu mengatasi masalah atas rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kausalitas pada siswa. Sehingga dibutuhkan sebuah solusi dengan menggunakan inovasi media video animasi yang bersifat interaktif. Video animasi diharapkan dapat menjadi solusi dari permasalahan terkait rendahnya keterampilan berpikir kausalitas pada siswa, sehingga akan tercipta pembelajaran sejarah yang efektif dan tercapainya tujuan pembelajaran. Abstract

The background to this research begins with the use of learning media which has not been maximized in the learning process of students at school. This research aims to collect information to determine the need to develop a digital Map learning media to develop basic historical concepts. The research in this article uses a qualitative descriptive research method. Data collection techniques use observation and interviews, with these techniques researchers can find needs analysis from the development of Digital Maps media. The results and discussion obtained from this research are the lack of enthusiasm of students towards the learning media used in schools (conventional media). Apart from that, students are curious about digital media. Therefore, innovation is needed in the form of learning media. The learning media that can be a solution to research is the Digital Maps learning about media so that history learning is expected to be more enjoyable, and effective and learning objectives can be achieved so as to align with historical objectives.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh kurangnya pengetahuan siswa mengenai sejarah lokal dan kurangnya sumber belajar sejarah yang berdampak pada rendahnya kesadaran sejarah siswa. Tujuan dari penelian ini untuk 1) mengembangkan produk sumber belajar terintegrasi infografis sejarah lokal untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah siswa di SMAN 1 Lareh Sago Halaban, 2) mengetahui seberapa layak sumber belajar terintegrasi infografis sejarah lokal untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah siswa di SMAN 1 Lareh Sago Halaban, 3) mengetahui hasil uji praktikalitas dan efektifitas penggunaan sumber belajar terintegrasi infografis sejarah lokal untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah siswa di SMAN 1 Lareh Sago Halaban. Sejarah lokal pada penelitian ini adalah peritiwa proklamasi kemerdekaan Indonesia di Sumatera. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Reseach and Development (R&D) dengan menggunakan model ADDIE. Subjek penelitian ini dilakukan terhadap 31 orang siswa di SMA N 1 Lareh Sago Halaban. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa sumber belajar terintegrasi infografis memperoleh nilai rata-rata kelayakan materi sebesar 3,68 dan sumber belajar sebesar 3,31. Pada uji praktikalitas oleh guru memperoleh nilai rata-rata sebesar 3,41 dan siswa sebesar 3,55, serta hasil uji efektivitas sumber belajar yang dilihat dari analisis jawaban wawancara terhadap siswa menunjukkan bahwa sumber terintegrasi infogarfis efektif untuk meningkatkan kesadaran sejarah lokal siswa dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the limited use of varied learning media by teachers, who mainly rely on textbooks and PowerPoint presentations dominated by text. Additionally, students often show low ability in analyzing historical events chronologically. This study aims to: (1) Determine the development process of Podcast-based learning media on the YouTube platform for history learning. (2) Assess the feasibility level of Podcast-based learning media on the YouTube platform in training students to analyze events chronologically. (3) Evaluate the practicality and effectiveness of Podcast-based learning media on the YouTube platform in training students to analyze events chronologically. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model. The implementation of Podcasts as a learning medium was carried out in class XI/F3 of SMA N 13 Padang. The results of the study show that: (1) Podcasts as a learning medium were developed using the YouTube platform. (2) The feasibility of the Podcast as a learning medium is categorized as highly feasible, with an average validation score from subject matter experts of 3.83 and from media experts of 3.60. (3) The practicality results of the Podcast as a learning medium are also in the highly feasible category, with an average score of 3.88 from teachers and 3.52 from students. The effectiveness test, conducted using Google Forms with three questions, indicated that Podcasts are effectively used in the history learning process.

Abstract

This study is motivated by preliminary data indicating that many students struggle to sequence historical events and compare past events with those occurring in the present. This reflects a low level of students' chronological thinking ability. In addition, interview results revealed that history learning has not yet utilized teaching materials capable of strengthening this skill while also addressing 21st-century learning challenges. The purpose of this study is to analyze the needs for developing digital teaching materials based on Google Sites in history learning for eleventh-grade students at SMA Pembangunan Laboratorium UNP. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through diagnostic tests, interviews with students and teachers, and documentation of current teaching materials. The findings show that students require teaching materials that are visual, interactive, and not merely text-based. Teachers also experience difficulties in developing teaching materials due to limited technological skills. Therefore, Google Sites is considered a relevant platform to meet these needs, as it can integrate various multimedia elements flexibly and support students

Abstract

The background of this study began with the lack of teaching materials used by teachers and students which had an impact on the low causal thinking skills of students in schools. This study aims to develop web-blog-based teaching materials that are appropriate to be used as a source of supporting teaching materials in improving causal thinking in history lessons at SMA N 1 Merangin. The method used in this study is a mixed method with data collection techniques through observation and interviews and reinforced with simple tests on students so that researchers are able to obtain a needs analysis through the development of web-blog-based teaching materials. Based on these results, researchers identified a lack of teaching materials used by teachers and students in the learning process. The problems researchers encounter, then researchers want to develop teaching materials that can help support students. Of the many teaching materials that can support students, researchers use technology. With the use of technology, it will create diverse and interesting learning styles and become a support in improving students' thinking skills. The web-blog-based teaching materials that researchers develop in this study are an opportunity for students to make learning activities more interesting. So that they can improve causal thinking skills in history learning.

Abstract

The background of this research is based on the low interest of students in learning history caused by the use of monotonous and less innovative learning media. This study aims to develop visual learning media in the form of E-caricatures to support increasing interest in learning history of students in the history subject of class X at SMK Negeri 5 Kerinci. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive quantitative and qualitative (Mix Method). The technique of collecting data by conducting observations and interviews via google form to 20 students and 1 history subject teacher with direct interviews. The results obtained from observations and interviews are the lack of interest in learning history of students in studying history is caused by non-innovative learning media. Student interest is seen from the dominance of interest indicators such as emotional involvement (30%) and identity connections (40%), while aspects of interest that reflect active involvement and deep understanding such as cognitive involvement (15%), behavioral involvement (10%), and perceptions of historical relevance (5%). Most of the media needs survey, students actually showed interest in visual media, especially images (65%), 13 out of 20 students. Therefore, innovative image-based learning media is needed that is expected to potentially increase students' interest in learning history at SMK Negeri 5 Kerinci. Based on these findings, researchers developed e-caricature visual media to support increasing students' interest in learning history in class X history material at SMK Negeri 5 Kerinci.
