Abstract

Business success is the primary goal that every company strives to achieve, with all activities focused on reaching it. In general, success reflects a condition that is better than before. MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) play a crucial role in supporting national economic growth, particularly through meeting the needs of local communities. This study aims to analyze the influence of Social Media, Creativity, and Entrepreneurial Motivation on the business success of coffee shop entrepreneurs in the Jember area. The research employs a descriptive quantitative approach with a saturated sampling method, involving 100 respondents who are MSME actors in the food and beverage sector, specifically coffee shops. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed through validity and reliability tests, multiple linear regression, as well as t-test and F-test. The results indicate that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on business success, both partially and simultaneously. Based on these findings, it is recommended that MSME actors actively utilize social media as a promotional tool and continue to enhance their creativity and entrepreneurial motivation through training to improve managerial and marketing capabilities.

Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the influence of Entrepreneurship Training, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Individual Commitment on the Performance of Food & Beverage UMKM Actors in Jember. This study focuses on identifying the performance of UMKM operators. A quantitative approach is used, employing regression analysis to test the relationship between independent variables (Entrepreneurship Training, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Individual Commitment) and the dependent variable (Operator Performance). UMKM Food & Beverage operators in Jember were selected as the research subjects because they align with the research problem. Data was collected through a questionnaire (Google Form) distributed to Food & Beverage UMKM operators in Jember and will be analyzed using SPSS version 25. The research results indicate that Entrepreneurship Training positively and significantly influences Operator Performance with a calculated t-value of 6.410, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.975 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Entrepreneurial Skills also positively and significantly influence Performance with a calculated t-value of 8.974, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.975 and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Commitment has a positive and significant effect on Performer Performance with a calculated t-value of 5.214, which is greater than the critical t-value of 1.975, and a significance level of 0.000, which is less than 0.05. Aside from the variables examined in this study, the results indicate that the three variables only account for 47.1% of the variance in MSME performance. This suggests that there are still 52.9% of other potential variables that may influence MSME performance, such as business motivation, market orientation, entrepreneurial competence, and individual characteristics. Therefore, future research is recommended to consider these factors in order to gain a more comprehensive understanding of MSME performance.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the café business sector in Jember Regency reflects the intense competition in the local culinary industry, which demands entrepreneurs to possess competitive advantages and adaptive capabilities. The success of café businesses is not only determined by external factors but is also strongly influenced by internal factors of the entrepreneurs, such as entrepreneurial character, entrepreneurial orientation, and the ability to create competitive advantages. This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial characteristics, entrepreneurial orientation, and competitive advantage on the business success of cafés in Jember Regency, both partially and simultaneously. The method used is a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 86 café entrepreneurs and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS. The results show that all three independent variables have a positive and significant effect on business success, both partially and simultaneously, with entrepreneurial orientation being the dominant factor. These findings highlight the importance of synergy between personal character strength, an innovative mindset, and differentiation ability in building a competitive and sustainable café business.
