Abstract

The function of the media is to influence. One example is how the media is used as a tool to conduct political campaigns with the aim of providing impression management. As in the azan broadcast featuring presidential candidate Ganjar, election observers argue that this is identity politicization. A journalist is inseparable from their perspective in analyzing the data they get in the field. With the different perspectives of journalists in observing facts, the term framing emerged. iNews.id and Metrotvnews.com have different views on the appearance of Ganjar in the azan broadcast on private TV. The purpose of this research is to find out how iNews.id and Metrotvnews.com media framed the case of Ganjar's appearance on the azan broadcast. Using Zhondang Pan and Kosicki's framing analysis theory to determine the reality created by revealing script, syntax, thematic, and rhetorical elements. The results showed that iNews.id and Metrotvnews.com carried out media framing by selecting headlines, sources, source quotes and image placement which were used as tools to frame the news of the two media. by selecting headlines, sources, source quotes and image placement which were used as tools to frame the news of the two media. From the results of this research, it can be concluded that iNews.id media made a pro framing of Ganjar while Metrotvnews.com media framed Ganjar with disapproval/contra.

Abstract

Abdi dalem is a person who devotes himself to the Keraton. There are two groups of AbdiDalem in the Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat, namely Abdi Dalem anon-anonKeraton and Abdi Dalem Garap Keraton. The purpose of this research is to determineAbdi Dalem's efforts in preserving Javanese cultural values in interpersonalcommunication at the Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat. This study usedqualitative research methods. This type of research is descriptive qualitative.Determining the informants in this research used purposive sampling and the informantsin this research were Abdi Dalem Keraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat, culturalfigures and the community. The location of this research is at the Keraton KasunananSurakarta Hadiningrat. Data collection uses observation, interviews and documentation.Data validity uses triangulation techniques. Using Miles and Huberman's (2014)interactive data analysis model. The results of the research show that Abdi DalemKeraton Kasunanan Surakarta Hadiningrat is a cultural preserver who has a positiveinfluence on society. This influence can be accepted by society as an example inunderstanding culture. The role of Abdi Dalem is nguri-uri or preserving Javanesecultural values with sincerity regarding the culture of the Keraton Kasunanan SurakartaHadiningrat. Abstract

Abstract The use of TikTok as a tourist reference media has become an effective role compared to old media so that it raises various perceptions for users who access. The tiktok mas dolan account is an account that can present content for tourist destinations that are hidden gems. So that from the many references available, it often causes perceptions among followers about the use of social media which is not only an entertainment medium. This study aims to analyze how followers perceive the Mas Dolan account on social media TikTok as a tourist reference medium. Using the theory of perception proposed by Bernard Berelson which is divided into 3, namely sensation, attention and interpretation. The research method used is qualitative to observe the phenomenon being studied using interviews, observations and documentation. The result of this study is that informants feel positive about the existence of a mas dolan account with a visual appearance in its content by adding a narrative that is quite interesting so that it can provide detailed information, add insight into tourist attractions that are rarely known, and can open relationships between their followers. Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the group communication patterns of femalesantri in dealing with internal problems at the Bahrul Amiq Ngawi Islamic Boarding School.This research uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collectedthrough field observations and in-depth interviews with female santri. The results showed thatthe communication patterns applied include downward communication, upwardcommunication, horizontal communication, and informal communication. Downwardcommunication plays a role in conveying instructions and goals from administrators to santri,while upward communication allows santri to provide feedback and suggestions toadministrators. Horizontal communication is used for coordination between fellow students,supporting effective cooperation, and strengthening relationships between them. In addition,informal communication proves to be an important tool in strengthening emotional bonds andaccelerating information dissemination. Despite obstacles such as differences in backgroundand age, the right communication approach succeeds in minimizing conflicts and increasingharmony and discipline in the pesantren environment. In conclusion, the application of diverseand adaptive communication patterns in Pondok Pesantren Bahrul Amiq Ngawi not onlysupports the handling of internal problems, but also contributes to the holistic characterbuilding and spiritual development of santri.Keywords: Communication patterns, Internal problems, Deliberation, Female santri,Boarding school

Abstract

Paguyuban Pasar Triwindu is an organization that contains traders in the Triwindu Market. In this Paguyuban Pasar Triwindu have various efforts in increasing visitors to the Triwindu Market post-covid-19 pandemic caused by the coronavirus which resulted in visitors in this market decreased. The aim of this research is to describe how the organization communication efforts of the Paguyuban Pasar Triwindu in increasing visitors to the Triwindu Market. The theory used in this research is the theory of organizational communication introduced by Zelko and Dance which covers internal communication and external communication. This type of research is qualitative descriptive. Determining informants using purposive sampling techniques. Research location on Surakarta Triwindu Market. The results of this research are organizational communication efforts of Paguyuban Pasar Triwindu in improving visitors to the Triwindu Market with Zelko and Dance organizational communications that is at the stage of internal communication, Paguyuban Pasar Triwindu has efforts such as; communication patterns of strategy or planning, media utilization, and evaluation. At the phase of external communication there are efforts in the form of direct communication to visitors and doing cooperation or collaboration with other institutions. Abstract

The government's empowerment program through the Women's Farmers Group (KWT)aims to improve the economy, food security and empower women. However, KWT PesonaAsri in Klumprit Village faced communication barriers that affected the effectiveness ofthe program. This research aims to identify these barriers, in order to become a referencefor other areas with similar problems. This research uses a qualitative descriptive methodto understand the communication barriers of KWT Pesona Asri members in preventingstunting in Klumprit Village. Through interviews, observation and documentation,researchers collected data from KWT members, who are women farmers. This KWT hasunique potential and superior products that are beneficial to society. Data validity wasobtained by triangulating sources and methods. This research uses in-depth interviews,observation and documentation to analyze communication barriers at KWT Pesona Asri,Klumprit Village. The results showed that communication barriers included members'low initiative, misunderstandings, and members' busyness, which affected programeffectiveness. Improvement efforts include evaluation and emotional approaches toincrease communication and participation. Research shows that communication at KWTPesona Asri faces human, technical and situational obstacles. These obstacles includemiscommunication, lack of member dexterity, and lack of active participation, as well asphysical obstacles such as drought. Ineffective communication hinders goal achievement,reduces productivity, and affects harvest yields and catfish cultivation.Keywords: Communication barriers, Farming Women's Group.

Abstract

The Sadranan tradition in Pantaran Hamlet is a tradition carried out to honor the spirits of Pantaran ancestors which is carried out every year on the last Friday of the month of Suro. This study discusses how the symbolic communication of the Sadranan tradition in Pantaran Hamlet, Candisari Village, Gladaksari District, Boyolali Regency. This study aims to determine the process of symbolic communication and the meaning of the Sadranan tradition in Pantaran Hamlet, Candisari Village, Gladaksari District, Boyolali Regency. This study uses the symbolic interaction theory according to Herbert Blumer. Herbert Blumer's theory has three main premises, namely: 1) Humans act towards an object according to the meanings attached to them; 2) That meaning is the result of social interaction with others; and 3) Those meanings are considered perfect when the social interaction process is taking place. This study uses a qualitative research methodology to produce descriptive data in the form of both written and oral data obtained directly from the field. This research is supported by data in the form of interviews, observations and documentation. The data concluded also uses field data analysis techniques with the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that there are various communication symbols in the Sadranan tradition including: tarub, pagar betek, Besik, Pilgrimage, Kirab, Kejawen Clothing, Royal Soldier Clothing, Incense and Frankincense, Lurup Cloth Covering the Tomb, Umbrella Tomb, Flower Sprinkles, Gunungan Hasil Bumi, Tahlilan, Kenduri, Berkatan, Topeng Ireng art, and finally Buka lawang or open house. The communication symbols in the Sadranan tradition are believed and believed to have deep meaning for the community so that the Sadranan tradition continues to be held and preserved by the community every year. Abstract

This research explores followers' perceptions of the Instagram account Nonnindah as the brand ambassador for Nabila Skincare. The aim is to analyze how followers, particularly those aged 20-30, view her role. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, data was gathered through interviews and documentation.The findings reveal two main perceptions among followers. On the positive side, many believe that Nonnindah effectively communicates the benefits of Nabila Skincare products, enhancing her credibility as a brand ambassador. They appreciate her ability to engage with her audience and promote the products successfully.Conversely, there is a negative perception from some followers who feel that Nonnindah’s content lacks authenticity and tends to be monotonous. They express concerns that her promotional efforts come off as overly commercial and insufficiently creative, impacting their overall engagement with the brand.Overall, the study highlights the mixed responses to Nonnindah's effectiveness as a brand ambassador, reflecting the complexities of influencer marketing in the skincare industry.Keywords : Followers perception, Brand Ambassador, Nonnindah, Media Social, and Nabila Skincare

Abstract

Abstract Interpersonal communication is crucial in the business world, particularly in the increasingly competitive coffee shop industry. Therefore, strategies are needed to achieve specific goals, such as enhancing customer satisfaction. This study aims to analyze the interpersonal communication strategies employed by baristas to create customer satisfaction at Black House Purwodadi. The method used is field research with a qualitative descriptive approach, where data is collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis is conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing, with the subjects of the study being baristas and customers. The results indicate that the interpersonal communication strategies of Black House baristas encompass several aspects: Openness, where baristas build rapport by being friendly and smiling, as well as welcoming feedback from customers; Empathy, which allows baristas to understand customer needs; and Supportive Attitude, which fosters two-way communication by listening and being open to feedback from both regular and new customers. Additionally, a Positive Attitude is demonstrated through the use of friendly language and affirming statements to appreciate customers. Equality in treatment toward all customers, regardless of appearance or age, is also prioritized to create a positive impression of the baristas' performance. Abstract

Fadjar Studios is a facilities management service. The main objective of business efforts in carrying out a strategy to maintain a positive image is by carrying out programs to achieve company performance where Fadjar Studios by making updates which we distribute directly or through online media in order to get a positive image from the public. Based on these problems, there is a statement, namely: What is the public relations strategy for maintaining a positive image of Fadjar Studios, as well as steps fordata collection, planning, action and communication, and evaluation. The research approach used is a qualitative approach, because researchers want to know the strategies carried out by Fadjar Studios public relations in maintaining the company's image. The data collection techniques used in this research were observation, interviews and documentation. The theory used is the public relations theory of Cutlip, Center, and Broom (2005: 268). This theory explains the four steps of the public relations management process, namely: Data Collection, Planning, Communication, and Evaluation. The research results show that in maintaining a positive image, Fadjar Studios carries out a process of defining problems using data and information. The planning process uses systematic planning. The implementation process is carried out according to the plan that has been prepared. The evaluation process is carried out after implementation is complete. From this research it can be concluded that public relations implements strategies to maintain a positive image.
