Abstract

This study aims to determine the difference in the influence between the variations of upper serve exercises using kick pads and hanging balls on the accuracy of instep service in the sport of sepak takraw. This study was conducted on students of SMA Negeri 1 Bangko Pusako who participated in extracurricular activities of sepak takraw. Problem identification showed that there were several obstacles in the accuracy of serving, such as inaccurate contact of the ball on the foot, lack of eye-foot coordination, lack of effective form of exercise, limb stiffness, and weak support when performing top serve. The purpose of this study is to prove the influence of the two training models on the accuracy of the instep service in the sport of sepak takraw. This research is expected to provide benefits for sports teachers and students at SMA Negeri 1 Bangko Pusako, especially in improving the ability to serve in the game of sepak takraw. In addition, this research can be a reference for science in the teaching and learning process as well as a reference for other researchers who are interested in the problem of service accuracy in sepak takraw. This research is expected to make a practical contribution to sepak takraw coaches in choosing more effective training methods to improve the accuracy of the instep serve, especially for students who play as tekong.

Abstract

This research aims to increase the speed of the sickle kick in pencak silat athletes at the SMA Negeri 1 Barusjahe Club for the 2022/2023 Academic Year by using rubber tires. Problem identification included a lack of speed of the scythe, stiffness and inefficiency of the kick, as well as the ease with which the kick was caught by the opponent. This study was limited to increasing the speed of the sickle kick through the use of tire rubber. The formulation of the problem raised includes the implementation, results, and effects of the use of tire rubber in increasing the speed of the sickle kick. The purpose of the study is to determine the implementation, results, and increase of the speed of the sickle kick using rubber tires. The benefits of this research are expected to help pencak silat athletes improve their sickle kick performance and provide a reference for future research in the same field.

Abstract

Pendidikan adalah suatu usaha sadar yang dilakukan secara sistematis dalam mewujudkan suasana belajar-mengajar agar para peserta didik dapat mengembangkan potensi dirinya. Dengan adanya pendidikan maka seseorang dapat memiliki kecerdasan, akhlak mulia, kepribadian, kekuatan spiritual, dan keterampilan yang bermanfaat bagi diri sendiri dan masyarakat. Untuk mencapainya harus melalui tahap demi tahap yaitu belajar untuk mencapai kedewasaan melalui bimbingan dan memiliki motivasi yang tinggi.Motivasi merupakan proses internal yang menjadi salah satu faktor penggerak bagi siswa untuk mau melibatkan dan mengarahkan dirinya ke dalam pembelajaran hingga mencapai hasil tertentu. Motivasi siswa dapat digerakkan dari faktor eksternal seperti pemberian materi oleh guru yang disusun secara kreatif, dukungan dari orang tua, sedangkan motivasi dari faktor internal dapat digerakkan dengan adanya minat belajar dari siswa. Motivasi tersebut dapat juga dilihat dari kegiatan belajar.Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Study Deskriptif. Iuaran yang ditargetkan dari penelitian yang diusulkan yaitu untuk membantu menemukan motivasi belajar siswa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas IV dengan menggunakan metode diskusi. Penelitian ini akan dilaksanakan di SD Swasta HKBP Teladan Jl. Sempurna No.30 Medan dengan jumlah siswa 22 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan dokumentasi. Dimana mata pelajaran yang di teliti adalah mata pelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan metode diskusi dikelas diharapkan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran matematika dapat meningkat.  Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan metode angket dan dokumentasi. Angket sebelumnya telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Uji  prasyarat analisis menggunakan uji normalitas dan uji linieritas.Teknik analisis yang digunakan adalah regresi linier sederhana, korelasi, uji t serta koefisien determinasi (R2).Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, diperoleh bahwa  1) Uji t menunjukkan Ho ditolak, thitung > ttabel, yaitu 3,343 > 2,018 dan nilai signifikan <0,05, yaitu 0,02 < 0,053) Hasil perhitungan untuk nilai koefisien determinasi (R2) sebesar 0,255, sehingga dapat disimpulkan hasil belajar siswa SD Swasta HKBP Teladan Jl. Sempurna No.30 Medan dipengaruhi oleh metode diskusi sebesar 0,255 atau 25,5% dan sisanya 74,5% dipengaruhi oleh faktor selain metode diskusi yang tidak diteliti dalam penelitian ini.

Abstract

Sampah merupakan sisa material dari aktivitas manusia maupun alam yang telah tidak digunakan lagi. Berdasarkan Undang-Undang Nomor 18 Tahun 2008 tentang Pengelolaan Sampah, sampah dibedakan menjadi dua jenis, yaitu sampah organik yang mudah terurai dan sampah anorganik yang sulit terurai. Pengelolaan sampah yang buruk berpotensi mencemari lingkungan, berdampak pada kesehatan masyarakat, serta merusak sektor pertanian. Desa Sitinjo II di Kabupaten Dairi menghadapi masalah pengelolaan sampah, terutama sampah plastik dan bahan kimia yang mencemari tanah dan air. Pencemaran ini berdampak langsung pada kesuburan lahan dan kualitas air yang menjadi kebutuhan vital masyarakat. Dalam rangka mengatasi masalah ini, pendekatan berbasis komunitas melalui edukasi, sosialisasi, dan pelatihan pengelolaan sampah sangat diperlukan. Program seperti bank sampah dan pengolahan sampah organik menjadi kompos dapat membantu mengurangi dampak negatif sampah sekaligus meningkatkan kesadaran masyarakat tentang pentingnya menjaga kebersihan lingkungan. Melalui pengelolaan sampah yang tepat, selain menjaga kebersihan lingkungan, juga dapat membuka peluang ekonomi baru bagi masyarakat. Dengan kerjasama antara pemerintah, masyarakat, dan pihak terkait, diharapkan pengelolaan sampah yang berkelanjutan dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup masyarakat Desa Sitinjo II.

Abstract

Motivation is a change in energy within a person which is characterized by the drive that comes from within a person toachieve a goal. Encouragement and business reactions caused by the need to achieve in life. This makes individuals havethe effort, desire and drive to achieve high learning outcomes. Learning outcomes are a reflection of a person's abilityto master the subjects being taught. High learning outcomes are a symbol of a student's success in their studies.Students who have high learning outcomes indicate that they have a high level of mastery of the subjects programmed,and vice versa.For a student to have motivation to learn cannot be separated from one of the basic types of needs, namely the need forachievement. Humans who have a high need for achievement, have a high desire to succeed, dare to take risks, are ableto take over responsibility for tasks, like uniqueness, are agile, tend to be restless, like to work hard, are not afraid toface failure when it happens and have a tendency to assert themselves.There is a general tendency that success and failure have an effect on motivation, namely: (1) motivation increasesfollowing failure among individuals who produce achievement motivation, (2) motivation hinders following failureamong individuals who are low in achievement motivation, (3) motivation decreases following success amongindividuals who are low in generating achievement motivation. So learning motivation as one of the psychologicalfactors also contributes to efforts to achieve learning outcomes. In other words, achieving learning outcomes is actuallythe key to a student's motivation to learn.

Abstract

BLOT 2024 is not just a sports event, but also a momentum for nature conservation, local economic empowerment, and strengthening the branding of Bukit Lawang as an international trail destination. The combination of Leuser's natural trajectory, government support, strategic partnerships, and environmental and social aspects make this event really useful and has a positive impact. BLOT is not just a running race. It is designed as a tangible form of synergy between nature conservation, sports, and local tourism development. Runners are not only challenged to conquer extreme terrain with uphill, downhill, river and wilderness trails, but are also invited to interact directly with the natural wilderness, including the protected habitat of Sumatran orangutans. This activity aims to: 1) Promote sports tourism in Langkat Regency. 2) Increase awareness of environmental conservation, especially the ecosystem of Gunung Leuser National Park. 3) Encourage local economic empowerment through the participation of MSMEs and the tourism sector. 4) Make Bukit Lawang an international standard trail running destination. By integrating scientific data, field practice, and traveler input, BLOT can further uphold sustainable and responsible sport tourism, while maintaining the reputation and sustainability of Bukit Lawang as a leading destination

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the application of sport tourism as a learning medium outside the classroom in increasing sportsmanship and cooperation of elementary school students. Sport tourism as a learning approach combines physical activity and exploration of the natural environment with character education values, thereby encouraging the creation of active, collaborative, and meaningful learning experiences. This study uses a quantitative method with a pre-experimental design (one group pretest-posttest design), involving 30 grade IV students in one of the elementary schools in Samosir Regency. Data was collected through a sportsmanship attitude questionnaire and a group cooperation observation sheet. The results of the study showed a significant increase in student sportsmanship and cooperation scores after participating in sports tourism activities as an out-of-class learning medium. These findings indicate that sport tourism can be an effective medium in fostering positive character values of elementary school students, as well as strengthening social skills through direct experiences outside the formal school environment. This activity also supports the implementation of the Independent Curriculum and project-based learning that emphasizes strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara aktivitas fisik harian dengan tingkat kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Jasmani. Aktivitas fisik harian diukur menggunakan instrumen International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ), sedangkan kebugaran jasmani diukur menggunakan Tes Kebugaran Jasmani Indonesia (TKJI). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan korelasional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah 60 mahasiswa semester IV yang dipilih secara purposive sampling. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara aktivitas fisik harian dan tingkat kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa (r = 0,62; p < 0,05). Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi intensitas dan frekuensi aktivitas fisik harian, maka semakin baik tingkat kebugaran jasmani mahasiswa. Penelitian ini merekomendasikan perlunya integrasi kegiatan fisik terstruktur dalam rutinitas harian mahasiswa untuk meningkatkan kebugaran secara optimal.

Abstract

Limited play spaces and low levels of physical activity among children in urban areas can negatively affect the development of gross motor skills. This community service activity aimed to enhance children’s gross motor development through the implementation of the traditional jump rope game at LKSA Jireh Semeinifestara Orphanage, Medan City. The participants were elementary school–aged children living in the orphanage. The methods used in this activity included initial observation, socialization of the jump rope game, direct practice with supervision, and evaluation through observation of children’s gross motor abilities. The results showed that the jump rope game was able to improve children’s gross motor skills, particularly in terms of balance, movement coordination, and leg muscle strength. In addition, the children demonstrated high enthusiasm and active participation throughout the activity. Therefore, the jump rope game can be considered an effective, simple, and easily implemented physical activity to support gross motor development among children in urban orphanage settings.
