Abstract

Pengembangan teknologi informasi saat ini, menjadi salah satu media promosi yang paling efektif. Kondisi ini sejalan dengan penggunaan teknologi informasi yang semakin luas cakupannya. Area jangkauan, skup pengguna teknologi maupun minat pengguna teknologi informasi dari waktu ke waktu terus mengalami peningkatan. Disisi lain perkembangan industri 4 yang terus bergulir diberbagai bidang. Teknologi informasi sangat berperan dalam kemajuan industri 4 dimasa mendatang. Bengkel Unimma Autocare sebagai unit usaha pengembangan kampus sedang mengembangkan kapabilitasnya. Melihat kondisi ini, Bengkel Unimma Autocare sangat perlu menggunakan teknologi informasi sebagai media pengembangan kapabilitas bisnisnya. Metode yang ditempuh dengan membangun website yang dipergunakan untuk pengelolaan manajerial bengkel, media promosi maupun laporan kepada pengguna bengkel. Pembuatan account di media sosial yang digunakan sebagai promosi kepada pengguna bengkel terus digalakkan. Hasil yang diperoleh dari sistem teknologi informasi yang telah dikembangkan diperolehnya sistem teknologi informasi yang terintegrasi dengan unit usaha bengkel. Kemudahan pengelolaan manajerial bengkel dan perluasan promosi bengkel kampus.

Abstract

Gula semut merupakan salah satu produk unggulan daerah Kabupaten Magelang. Kecamatan candimulyo merupakan daerah penghasil gula semut yang cukup banyak. Nira pohon kelapa merupakan bahan baku dalam pembuatan gula semut. Produk ini memiliki kelebihan jika dibanding dengan gula cetak pada umumnya. Produk dapat disimpan dalam jangka waktu satu sampai dua tahun tanpa mengalami perubahan warna dan rasa. Tempat penyimpanan produk memerlukan tempat yang rapat dan kedap udara. Aroma khas karamel palma gula semut sangat sesuai untuk menambah citarasa pada makanan dan minuman. Namun demikian, gula semut yang menjadi komoditi ekspor ini masih kurang dikenal oleh masyarakat magelang dan sekitarnya. Metode yang ditempuh dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra dengan membantu pengusaha gula semut untuk dapat memasarkan produknya secara sederhana dan tepat sasaran. Kegiatan pemasaran yang dilakukan bertujuan untuk memperluas pemasaran serta mengenalkan gula semut ke masyarakat magelang dan sekitarnya. Kegiatan dilakukan dengan memasarkan gula semut di beberapa pusat oleh-oleh dan toko-toko terdekat. Pemasaran juga dilakukan melalui car free day di kota magelang. Harapan dari kegiatan ini dapat membantu pengusaha gula semut untuk dapat memasarkan produknya dalam jangkauan lebih luas.

Abstract

Gas buang mesin diesel merupakan salah satu penyebab terjadinya pemanasan global. Kandungan gas buang ini diantarnya opacity yang berasal dari polutan warna hitam. Unsur karbon dari pembakaran mesin diesel yang ada dalam opacity sangat berbahaya bagi lingkungan. Untuk itu, opacity hasil pembakaran mesin diesel perlu dikendalikan. Metode pengendalian ini diantaranya dengan melakukan pengukuran gas buang menggunakan opacity meter test bench. Harga sangat mahal, tidak praktis dan memerlukan tempat khusus merupakan kelemahan dari opacity meter test bench. Oleh karena itu, Penelitian ini mengusulkan pengembangan opacity meter berdasarkan digital image processing. Kelebihan alat yang dikembangkan memiliki harga cukup terjangkau, praktis dan proses pengolahan dapat dilakukan secara online. Alat ini bekerja berdasarkan perbedaan warna pada gas buang. Kamera menangkap warna gas buang disimpan dalam file jpg. File jpg selanjutnya dikonvert dalam data digital RGB (Red Green Blue). Selain merubah data digital, penelitian ini merancang program yang dapat bekerja dalam komputer. Opacity meter test bench dapat untuk memvalidasi program yang dirancang. Alat yang dikembangkan diuji pada kendaraan micro bus dan pick up. Hasil uji opacity pada kendaraan micro bus memiliki opacity sebesar 19,9% dan nilai RGB (217, 224, 246). Pada saat yang sama, Uji opacity pada kendaraan pick up menghasilkan opacity 20,9% dan nilai RGB (193, 214, 215). Validasi dengan opacity meter test bench terbaca kurang dari 5%. Untuk itu, Desain opacity meter dengan image processing yang telah dibuat sudah dapat beroperasi dan dapat dikembangkan pada penelitian selanjutnya.

Abstract

In the past decade, the general method for measuring the performance of research and scientific publications in a Study Program at a Higher Education is by the Rough Value (Nilai Kasar, NK) calculated per three years. This value is derived from the accreditation instrument. In fact, the calculation of the performance of research and scientific publications with NK cannot represent an annual performance. Therefore, this paper presents a new method for calculating research and scientific publications performance with an index (IP-PS and IPub-PS), which is calculated annually. An example of quality measurement practice in the Automotive Diploma Program of Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang. As a result, calculations with IP-PS and IPub-PS are more likely to present real conditions per year than using NK.

Abstract

Liquified petroleum gas (LPG) storage tanks are essential components for storing and distributing fuels. However, system failures due to inspection flaws increase the risk of leaks, fires, and explosions. Therefore, this study discussed the development of a safety system application applied to LPG storage tanks based on a risk-based leak (RBL) analysis. Data associated with risk factor values were obtained from an LPG storage tank in a gas distributor company. The risk of failure was calculated by analyzing the probability of failure (PoF) and the consequence of failure (CoF). The results showed that the level of risk observed was medium-high with a PoF in category 1 at a total damage factor value of 1. Furthermore, the CoF in category E was positioned with a consequence analysis value of 2381.29 m2 with an LPG storage tank life span of 33.5 years and an external inspection interval of five years.

Abstract

Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) is an affordable fuel with a higher octane number. However, older CNG kits without electronic controls have the potential to supply more fuel when driving downhill due to the vacuum in the intake manifold. Therefore, this article presents a development of a CNG control system that accommodates road inclination angles to improve fuel efficiency. Machine learning is involved in this work to process engine speed, throttle valve position, and road slope angle. The control system is designed to ensure reduced fuel consumption when the vehicle is operating downhill. The results showed that the control system increases fuel consumption by 25.7% when driving downhill which an inclination of 5ᵒ. The AFR increased from 17.5 to 22 and the CNG flow rate decreased from 17.7 liters/min to 13.8 liters/min which is promising for applying to CNG vehicles.

Abstract

Magelang Regency has several superior products for MSMEs, one of which is the production of processed boilers / slondok. The partner in the creativity program for students in the application of science and technology (PKM-PI) is UMKM Slondok Pak Narto with the address Druju Tegal Hamlet, Plosogede Village, Ngluwar District, Magelang Regency, Central Java. The problem faced by partners is that it requires a large area to dry product raw materials, besides that during the rainy season the drying process cannot be carried out so slondok production will stop. The purpose of this PKM-PI is to apply appropriate technology in the form of an oven that utilizes heat from the exhaust waste gas from combustion in the boiler steamer furnace and slondok fryer. This heating oven is able to help dry the raw materials of the product up to 45%.

Abstract

The emergence of Corona Virus Disease 19 (Covid-19) required a new method to control its spread. During this time, controlling COVID-19 was carried out by implementation of a sterilization chamber using a liquid-based disinfectant. However, the use of liquid-based disinfectants has been evaluated to be less effective because it allows disrupting the respiratory tract. Therefore, this work presents a negative pressure sterilization chamber using Ozone and UV-C lamp. Ozone has been recommended by the Indonesian Institute of Sciences (LIPI) as a substitute for liquid-based disinfectants. In addition, to maximize performance, the chambers are added with UV-C lamps. The negative pressure sterilization chamber with Ozone and ultraviolet lamps was successfully created with the main parts of the cubicle chamber, an Ozone generator, at least one ultraviolet lamp, exhaust fan, switch, and a timer. The negative pressure sterilization chamber with Ozone and ultraviolet lamps according to this work, where the Ozone supply from the Ozone generator is made automatically to the door opening and closing. The duration of the Ozone supply was regulated by a timer. Then, the ultraviolet lamp can be activated together with Ozone or independently. With the implementation of this sterilization chamber, the spread of the Covid-19 virus is expected to be suppressed in a safer way than using liquid-based disinfectants.

Abstract

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established by the United Nations in 2015, are a comprehensive global framework that addresses social, economic, and environmental challenges through sustainable development. This study examines the role of universities, specifically focusing on the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Universitas Muhammadiyah Magelang (UNIMMA), in contributing to the SDGs. The study utilized data from Elsevier’s SciVal to analyze the department’s contribution to the SDGs through scientific publications in the Scopus database. A total of 97 out of 156 articles published by nine researchers from the department were found to contribute to various SDGs, with a significant focus on Goals 7 (affordable and clean energy), 17 (partnerships for the goals), 9 (industry, innovation, and infrastructure), and 12 (responsible consumption and production). The study highlights the department’s collaborative efforts and alignment with global sustainability goals. In addition, VOSviewer was used to map the research collaboration network within the department, revealing strong contributions to energy efficiency, sustainable technologies, and climate action. However, the department's research shows limited contribution to social SDGs such as poverty alleviation and gender equality. By mapping the university’s contributions to the SDGs, this study helps faculty members identify opportunities for targeted research collaborations, address gaps in SDG contributions, and enhance partnerships with researchers from other institutions, thus broadening the university’s impact on global sustainable development goals.
