Abstract

Learning by integrating argumentation skills has not been fully implemented in learning.  The purpose of this study was to develop a student activity sheet based on the Argument-Driven inquiry model with a socioscientific issue context. This research integrates the context of socioscientific issues as a stimulus for students in building scientific argumentation. This research method is the 4D model, which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. However, the stages of this research are limited to the development stage. The results showed that the student activity sheet was developed based on the learning stages of the Argument-Driven inquiry model, which is limited to the scientific argumentation phase. The study of socioscientific issues is adjusted to the learning subtopic of factors that affect the reaction rate. The data from the validation study of the Learner Activity Sheet is classified as a very valid category with a content validity score of 89%; the validity of the layout presentation aspect is 92% and the language aspect is 96%. Meanwhile, the students' response result shows that the level of satisfaction with the activity sheets is 96%, including the category of very satisfied. The improvement of students' argumentation skills was at a moderate level with an N-gain score of 0.64. Statistical test results show there is a significant difference between pretest and posttest scores with a P-value <0.05. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the LAS based on the Argument Driven Inquiry model with a socioscientific Issue context is valid, practical and effective for improving students' argumentation skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the physics learning process in grade X of senior high schools in Sikka Regency, focusing on learning approaches, student engagement, as well as supporting and inhibiting factors during the learning activities. The research employed a descriptive non-experimental method using observation techniques in eight schools, with an instrument in the form of an observation sheet that had been tested for content validity. Data were analyzed through the stages of reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the aspect of the role of physics in education scored 77%, the learning approach aspect 78%, and the aspect of handling students with diverse abilities 67%. Teachers have been fairly effective in fostering logical and critical thinking, as well as creating active and contextual learning interactions. However, the implementation of inclusive learning, the use of technology for differentiation, and assessment variety still need improvement. This study recommends strengthening differentiated learning strategies, implementing diagnostic assessments, and utilizing interactive media such as Genially to enhance the quality and inclusiveness of physics learning.

Abstract

Karya tulis ilmiah merupakan salah satu aspek penting dalam dunia pendidikan terlebih dalam penentuan kelulusan di tingkat sekolah menengah. Akan tetapi pemahaman siswa akan karya tulis ilimiah masih sangat rendah. Tujuan kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah untuk dapat menjadi solusi dalam meningkatkan pemahaman siswa terkait karya tulis ilmiah dan pelatihan tentang cara menentukan permasalahan dari suatu topik dan menuliskannya dalam bentuk suatu karya ilmiah dengan menggunakan sistematika penulisan yang benar. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengabdian ini adalah Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), yang melibatkan peserta secara aktif dalam mengumpulkan dan menganalisis informasi. Pelatihan diberikan melalui ceramah, diskusi, dan tanya jawab yang disampaikan oleh tim pengabdian dari Prodi Pendidikan Fisika Unipa pada bulan Maret - April 2024 dengan diikuti oleh 25 siswa. Hasil pengabdian ini menunjukkan bahwa secara keseluruhan pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini berjalan sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari antusisme dan peningkatan pemahaman tentang penulisan karya ilmiah yang lebih baik dari sebelumnya.

Abstract

Keterampilan proses sains merupkan suatu aspek keterampilan yang penting bagi siswa guna mengaplikasikan dan mengembangkan konsep-konsep sains yang diperolehnya. Dalam upaya peningkatan kemampuan keterampilan proses sains siswa, diperlukan sebuah model pembelajaran yang sesuai. Pada penelitian ini digunakan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis eksperimen. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis eksperimen terhadap keterampilan proses sains siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Maumere pada materi energi terbarukan. Penelitian menggunakan jenis penelitian deskriptif kualitatif. Dipilih 36 siswa dari kelas XF sebagai sampel dari keseluruhan siswa kelas X SMA Negeri 1 Maumere tahun pelajaran 2023/2024. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi LKPD dan angket minat belajar. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi saat pembelajaran dan menyebarkan angket setelah selesai pembelajaran. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data, penggunaan model pembelajaran inkuiri terbimbing berbasis eksperimen berdampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan minat belajar dan keterampilan proses sains siswa. Analisis LKPD menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata setiap indikator keterampilan proses sains dikategorikan tinggi dengan rata-rata ketercapaian sebsar 78,56%. Hasil analisis angket menunjukkan minat belajar siswa dapat dikategorikan sangat tinggi untuk keseluruhan indikator dengan rata-rata ketercapaiannya sebesar 82,51%.
