Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem perangkap tikus otomatis berbasis mikrokontroler Arduino Uno sebagai solusi alternatif pengendalian hama tikus. Sistem dirancang dengan mengintegrasikan sensor suara KY-037, sensor infra-red, dan sensor ultrasonik HC-SR04 untuk mendeteksi keberadaan tikus secara lebih akurat. Ketika kondisi pendeteksian terpenuhi, mikrokontroler akan mengaktifkan motor servo untuk menutup pintu perangkap secara otomatis. Metode penelitian yang digunakan meliputi studi literatur, perancangan perangkat keras dan perangkat lunak, implementasi sistem, serta pengujian fungsional menggunakan metode black box. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa seluruh komponen sistem berfungsi dengan baik dan mampu bekerja sesuai dengan logika pemrograman yang telah ditetapkan. Sistem hanya merespons ketika sensor memberikan sinyal secara bersamaan, sehingga mengurangi kemungkinan kesalahan deteksi. Dengan demikian, alat perangkap tikus otomatis ini dinilai efektif, praktis, dan ramah lingkungan karena tidak menggunakan bahan kimia, serta berpotensi dikembangkan lebih lanjut untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan keandalan sistem.

Abstract

Customer service at PDAM Tirta Randik in Sungai Lilin District still faces several issues, such as delays in delivering billing information, manual data recording processes, and frequent input errors in customer data. Previous studies on PDAM information systems generally focused only on data recording or water flow monitoring, but have not provided an integrated solution for mobile-based customer management. This study presents a novelty in the form of an Android-based Customer Management Information System integrated with a server database, designed to provide real-time information access, automated billing generation, and monitoring of water usage history. The research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) Waterfall model. The system was evaluated using: (1) black-box testing to validate system functionality; and (2) usability assessment using the System Usability Scale (SUS) to determine user acceptability. The results of black-box testing indicated that all features operated according to specifications. The SUS evaluation involving 20 respondents produced an average score of 82.5, categorized as “Excellent” with an acceptance level of Grade A. This information system can improve the accuracy of customer data recording, accelerate access to billing information, and enhance user satisfaction. It can serve as a reference model for the digitalization of PDAM services and has the potential for further development through the integration of digital payment features.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi informasi membuka peluang besar bagi Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) untuk meningkatkan daya saing melalui promosi digital. Namun, UMKM di Kelurahan Ogan Baru, Palembang, masih menghadapi kendala dalam memanfaatkan teknologi ini secara optimal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi berbasis digital guna mempromosikan produk UMKM. Metode penelitian menggunakan model waterfall, meliputi analisis kebutuhan, desain, implementasi, pengujian, dan evaluasi. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara dengan pelaku UMKM serta studi literatur. Sistem yang dikembangkan memungkinkan UMKM mempublikasikan produk, mengelola informasi bisnis, dan menganalisis strategi pemasaran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem ini meningkatkan visibilitas UMKM dengan efektif. Sebanyak 85% pengguna menyatakan platform ini memperluas akses pasar dan menekan biaya promosi. Kesimpulannya, sistem informasi digital ini menjadi solusi relevan bagi UMKM menghadapi tantangan digitalisasi. Rekomendasi pengembangan mencakup integrasi fitur pembayaran online dan personalisasi promosi.

Abstract

This study aims to find out about Information Technology management at Muhammadiyah University of Palembang and to get right advice in managing Information Technology from the University level to the Study Program. Regarding benchmarks in Information Technology Governance use the Cobit 5 framework with the Evaluate, Direct and Monitor domains. Monitoring and evaluation was carried out using a questionnaire distributed to lecturers and employees at the Muhammadiyah University of Palembang and the researchers did observations on the management of higher education information technology governance. Based on the questionnaire result, the highest gap occurs in sub domain 4, which is 3.65 while the observation result towards the capability level is at level 3 with a value of 56.67%, the sub domain ensuring resource optimization has the highest capability value of 66.67%. Based on the data obtained using the EDM domain, the University of Muhamadiyah Palembang has to set Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Work Instructions (IK) so every five processes can run well to create good IT governance.

Abstract

Diabetic retinopathy (DR) is a diabetes-related condition that can cause vision impairment or vision loss. Accurately identifying the level of DR from retinal fundus images is crucial for early detection. However, poor image quality often degrades classification performance. This study proposes an approach that integrates gamma correction-based image enhancement with a Batch Normalization–Visual Geometry Group (BN-VGG) architecture for multiclass DR severity classification. Gamma correction is applied to improve image contrast, while BN-VGG enhances training stability and feature representation. The proposed method categorizes DR into five classifications: normal, mild, moderate, severe, and proliferative. The enhanced images achieved PSNR of 30.85 and SSIM above 0.86, indicating improved visual quality. The model achieved accuracy at 0.97, sensitivity at 0.92, specificity at 0.98, F1-score at 0.92, Cohen's Kappa at 0.90, and G-Mean at 0.97. The innovative aspect of this study is the incorporation of gamma correction with BN-VGG architecture, demonstrating that image enhancement can significantly improve multiclass DR classification performance without increasing model complexity. The study's results indicate the proposed method's effectiveness for accurate & reliable DR severity classification

Abstract

Employee attendance and task management are important elements in maintaining organizational productivity, accountability, and operational efficiency. Conventional attendance systems, such as manual recording and fingerprint devices, still face several limitations including fraud potential, inaccurate data recording, and lack of flexibility for field employees. This research aims to design and develop an integrated Android-based attendance and task management application by utilizing Global Positioning System (GPS), Location Based Service (LBS), visual attendance validation, and real-time task monitoring features. The system was developed using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) approach combined with Agile Development to accelerate system implementation through iterative processes and continuous user feedback. The application integrates attendance recording, GPS location validation, employee task assignment, progress monitoring, and deadline notifications into a single platform. System testing was conducted using the Black-box Testing method to evaluate application functionality and reliability. The results show that the developed system successfully performs core functions such as login, GPS-based attendance, task management, attendance reports, and task monitoring with a testing success rate of 94%. The system is also capable of reducing attendance manipulation through real-time location validation and activity monitoring mechanisms. This research contributes an integrated mobile solution that improves attendance accuracy, task transparency, work efficiency, and employee productivity in organizations with high workforce mobility.
