Reformation movement of 1998 being a starting point from so many dynamical changing of national politics in Indonesia. Chinese that has a strong historical root in Indonesia, being one of part of societies that used the reformation momentum as a way to involve into politics. This article analyzed the phenomena of strengthening Chines political identity post new order, and to analyzed the relation between strengthening Chinese political identity and multiculturalism in Indonesia.By using a qualitative methodolgy, those collected datas in this research, was analyzed by political identity theory, multiculturaism concept, and social capital theory. This research found that there are things that relate to the strengthening Chinese political identity post new order in Indonesia. The changing of political orientation of Chinese occured because the strong social capital and the changing of government policy that relate to the citizenship status. Those supported by a good understanding of multiculturalism by Indonesian society.

This study discusses the political participation of women workers in The Chemical, Energy and Mining Trade Unions of the All Indonesia Workers Union (SP KEP-SPSI). Using qualitative methods, this paper uses theories of womenâ€™s political participation, understanding sex and gender, and explaining socialist feminism as bases of analysis. This research tries to answer two issues namely how the involvement of women workers in the union in the SP KEP-SPSI and why the involvement of women in the union is important. The conclusion of this study is that the political participation of women workers in SP KEP-SPSI has not been actively involved enough in trade unions. Their membership is still very minimal with the indicator that there are only 4 female workers from 46 officials in the structure. However, SP KEP-SPSI has tried to facilitate the involvement of women workers with an indication of the inclusion of a clause on the involvement of women in the Statutes / Statutes of the Union. The involvement of women workers is important in unions, because it signifies a form of active political participation of citizens and is related to the struggle for the rights of women workers.

This article aims to look at the political views of the Jaringan Islam Liberal (Liberal Islam Network) in Indonesia. As a community that wants to carry out reforms with the spirit of modernization and rationality in religion, seeing it in political and democratic contestation in Indonesia is interesting. So this article questions two things; how does Jaringan Islam Liberal view the relevance of religion and politics? and how does Jaringan Islam Liberal view the implementation of democracy? The method used in this paper is a literature study that seeks to collect data from journal articles, books, and other related reading materials. This article shows that the Jaringan Islam Liberal (Liberal Islam Network)Â rejects forms of political Islam that try to formally fight for the superiority of Islamic value systems and symbols in the political sphere. TheyÂ also reject the idea ofÂ an Islamic state and the formalization of shari'ah, andÂ sees democracy as a value that must be implemented in a country. This is because it is in accordance with the basic rights that must be owned by individuals, which are known as human rights.

ABSTRAKArtikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisa partisipasi dan perilaku pemilih perempuan pada Pemilihan Gubernur (Pilgub) Jawa Barat 2018 di Kelurahan Maleer, Kota Bandung. Penelitian dilakukan secara kualitatif dengan didukung oleh data primer berupa observasi dan wawancara sejumlah narasumber. Data sekunder diperoleh dari pencarian sejumlah referensi, baik melalui buku, jurnal dan data pendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa meski persentase perempuan dalam ruang publik masih tertinggal dari laki-laki, namun perempuan mulai menunjukkan keaktifannya, dalam hal menempuh pendidikan tinggi, kemasyarakatan maupun kegiatan politik. Ketiganya menjadi faktor utama perempuan dalam berpartisipasi secara politik. Meski tidak menjadi hal dominan, namun konflik antar kelompok pemimpin politik berpengaruh pada partisipasi politik perempuan dalam Pilgub. Dalam hal prilaku pemilih, perempuan di Kelurahan Maleer memilih figur berdasarkan pilihan psikologis dan pilihan rasional. Pilihan psikologis pemilih perempuan pada calon figur didasarkan dari penggunaan media sosial calon gubernur sebagai alat interaksi ke masyarakat. Sedangkan pilihan rasional pemilih perempuan atas dasar melihat pada program/hasil kerja calon gubernur yang merupakan sosok incumbent (sebelumnya sudah pernah menjabat). Perempuan menilai dampak apa yang dia peroleh selama calon gubernur (yang merupakan incumbent) menjabat, dan melihat program-program sebelumnya yang bermanfaat atau tidak untuk dirinya sebagai kaum perempuan.

Gender Mainstreaming (PUG) is important to be implemented in a policy. This study aims to determine the implementation and obstacles of the Bogor mayor's regulations regarding PUG in secondary education in the city of Bogor. This is a qualitative research with case studies. Data collected by interviewing four person in education, excutive, and legislative background. Others data collected by literatur review from books and journals. The results show that the implementation of Bogor mayor's regulation No.42 of 2017 concerning General Guidelines for the Implementation of PUG in secondary education in the city of Bogor has not been maximal. The communication patterns, resources and dispositions or attitudes of the officials are not optimal to solve a gender biased as the problems. The obstacles in implementing the PUG program are; 1) PUG has only become a concern at the individual level or several work units and has not been comprehensive, 2) There are limited human resources in PUG implementing agencies in the education sector, as well as a lack of understanding of a gender- fair perspective, and 3) Communication and coordination aspects between teams are still lacking, and the absence of socialization for additional knowledge. Pengarusutamaan Gender (PUG) penting untuk diterapkan dalam sebuah kebijakan, khusus dilingkungan pendidikan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui implementasi serta hambatan dari peraturan walikota Bogor terkait PUG pada lingkup pendidikan menengah di kota Bogor. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kualitatif dengan studi kasus. Data penelitian dikumpulkan dengan mewawancarai empat informan dibidang pendidikan, eksekutif, dan legislatif. Data lain diperoleh dari studi literatur, baik buku ataupun jurnal dan dokumen pendukung lainnya. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi peraturan walikota Bogor No.42 tahun 2017 tentang Pedoman Umum Pelaksanaan PUG pada pendidikan menengah di kota Bogor belum maksimal. Pola komunikasi, sumber daya dan disposisi atau sikap aparat belum maksimal dan bertanggung jawab terhadap kebutuhan dan masalah pemahaman yang bias gender. Hambatan dalam implementasi program PUG dibidang Pendidikan tersebut adalah; 1) PUG baru menjadi kepedulian ditingkat individu atau beberapa unit kerja dan belum menyeluruh, 2) Adanya keterbatasan SDM di instansi penyelenggara PUG bidang pendidikan, serta kurangnya pemahaman akan perspektif adil gender, dan 3) Aspek komunikasi dan koordinasi antar tim masih kurang, serta ketiadaan sosialisasi untuk penambahan pengetahuan.

Abstract.This research investigates the problems of political parties in meeting the quota of women’s representation in Parliament of Lebak Regency for the period 2014-2019. The objectives of this research are to know the importance of women’s representation and to analyze the barriers that caused difficulties for political parties to fulfill women’s representation in Parliament of Lebak Regency for the period 2014-2019. Method that used in this research is qualitative research with documentation and interview as the data collection technique. Theories used in this research are political party theories by Larry Diamond and women's representation by Anne Phillips and Nadezhda Shvedova. The research found two findings. First, women’s representation in Parliament of Lebak Regency is strongly important. Due to the presence of women in Parliament of Lebak Regency can bring women’s interests in politics. Second, the importance of women’s representation in Parliament of Lebak Regency is not supported by a quota of women’s representation in Parliament of Lebak Regency at which only 14%. There are three barriers that caused difficulties for political parties to fulfill women’s representation quota in Parliament of Lebak Regency for the period 2014-2019, namely political barriers, socio-economics barriers, and ideological and psychological barriers. Abstrak. Penelitian ini membahas tentang problematika partai politik dalam memenuhi kuota keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak periode 2014-2019. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pentingnya representasi keterwakilan perempuan dan menganalisis kendala-kendala yang menyebabkan partai politik sulit memenuhi keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak periode 2014-2019. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian kualitatif dengan teknik pengumpulan data yaitu studi dokumentasi dan wawancara. Teori yang digunakan adalah teori partai politik dari Larry Diamond dan teori keterwakilan perempuan dari Anne Philips dan Nadezhda Svedova. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa, pertama, representasi keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak sangat penting. Hal ini karena dengan hadirnya perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak dapat membawa kepentingan-kepentingan perempuan dalam politik. Kedua, pentingnya representasi perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak tidak didukung dengan kuota keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak yakni hanya 14%. Ada tiga kendala yang menyebabkan partai politik sulit untuk memenuhi kuota keterwakilan perempuan di DPRD Kabupaten Lebak periode 2014-2019 yaitu kendala politik, kendala sosio-ekonomi, serta kendala ideologis dan psikologis.

Fundamentalist Islamic groups are often identified as resistant groups towards revolutionary values coming from the West. In Indonesian context, fundamentalist groups was represented by, one of them, Hizbut Tahrir Indonesia (HTI). Fundamentally, HTI as a group opposes any changes and supports the establishment of Islamic nation. From this perspective, HTI is against democracy as a product of western thought. In fact, HTI is struggling for the unity Islamic ummah under khilafah islamiyyah by khalifah as a leader. From this background this paper aims at answering to questions.
