Abstract

Background: Critical thinking skills are essential in the 21st century; however, Indonesian students often show low critical thinking abilities in mathematics. This issue arises partly from limited use of instructional methods that foster critical thinking among junior high school students.Aim: This study aims to assess the effectiveness of the M6 learning model and Realistic Mathematics Education (RME) in enhancing students' critical thinking abilities in mathematics, considering their levels of logical-mathematical intelligence.Method: A quasi-experimental design was employed with a sample of 318 seventh-grade students from State Middle Schools in Cirebon Regency in the 2023/2024 academic year. Stratified cluster random sampling produced three groups: 107 students in the first experimental group, 105 in the second, and 106 in the control group. Instruments included a critical mathematical thinking skills test and a logical-mathematical intelligence test, with hypothesis testing conducted using two-way analysis of variance with unequal cells.Results: The analysis revealed significant differences in students' critical thinking abilities based on the learning model and logical-mathematical intelligence levels, with notable interactions between these variables.Conclusion: The study concludes that the M6 and RME learning models influence critical mathematical thinking skills differently across logical-mathematical intelligence categories. These findings underscore the importance of aligning instructional models with students' intelligence profiles to optimize learning outcomes in critical thinking.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the Industrial Revolution 4.0 era demands innovation in the world of education, including in the non-formal education sector such as tutoring. One innovation that can be applied is the use of interactive digital learning media such as Kahoot. This training activity aims to improve tutor competence in using Kahoot as an interesting and enjoyable evaluation and learning media for students. The training was attended by 15 tutors from various tutoring institutions and was carried out offline in the form of an integrated workshop. The training method includes an introduction to the Kahoot feature, quizzes, and simulations of application in the context of learning. The results of the training showed an increase in participants' understanding and skills in using Kahoot, marked by an increase in post-test scores and high enthusiasm during practice. Most tutors expressed their readiness to implement Kahoot in tutoring sessions. Although there were several obstacles such as limited internet access, this training proved effective in supporting the digital transformation of non-formal learning. Thus, similar training is recommended to be expanded as part of strengthening the capacity of teaching staff in the digital era..

Abstract

The method of learning PAI is usually only with the lecture method and does not utilize other learning media, so that learning becomes less effective and interesting and even makes students bored and boring. This research focuses on the goal of increasing students' interest and understanding at MTS Daarul Ihya by implementing audio-visual-based Islamic religious education (PAI) learning media. This research uses descriptive qualitative methods with data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The data analysis uses interactive which consists of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. To test the validity of the data, researchers used source triangulation. The results showed that the use of audio visual media as a learning medium can increase students' interest and enthusiasm and understanding of Islamic religious education subjects, then the use of audio visual-based learning media can also increase the effectiveness of teachers in delivering material to students.

Abstract

Learning in schools always follow channel changes that occur, one of which is use continuous curriculum done evaluation in a way continuous in accordance with needs. Independent Learning Curriculum is current curriculum This used start level school aware until college high. Research objectives This For describe How implementation Independent Learning Curriculum in the Science Subject at SDN 1 Tanggulangin, Central Lampung. Research done in the year 2024/2025 academic semester odd semester . Primary data was obtained from the observation and interview process carried out together participant students and teachers. Supported with secondary data that is documentation activity learning.  The results of the study show that the implementation of the independent learning curriculum in the science subject at SDN 1 Tanggulangin, Central Lampung has been running well and optimally, as evidenced by various learning activities that have involved all students. In addition, the use of learning methods used in the independent curriculum has also been good. Activities learning done in accordance with stages conveyed in the  independent learning curriculum, start from preparation or planning, activities learning until evaluation . Activities science learning does not only done in the class but also outside class , activity  students become the main target so that students become more happy and excited follow learning.Keywords:   Implementation , Curriculum Independence , Science Subject

Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam pendidikan semakin berkembang dan memberikan berbagai peluang untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran. Salah satu alat yang dapat digunakan adalah Quizizz, sebuah platform berbasis web yang memungkinkan pembuatan kuis interaktif sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran. Tujuan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini yaitu memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan kepada tutor di dalam pembuatan dan penggunaan Quizizz sebagai alat evaluasi pembelajaran. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan di PKBM King Sae Qencana, adapun pelatihan ini dilakukan secara sesi praktik langsung, diskusi kelompok dan monitoring pasca-pelatihan untuk mengevaluasi implementasi quizizz sebagai media evaluasi pembelajaran. Kajian pustaka, dan pelatihan dilaksanakan dengan melibatkan berbagai pihak antara lain, tim pengabdian, tutor, peserta didik dan kepala sekolah. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan bahwa peserta merasa lebih percaya diri dan terampil dalam menggunakan Quizizz sebagai alat evaluasi. Selain itu, penggunaan quizizz terbukti meningkatkan motivasi dan pertisipasi peserta didik dalam proses pembelajaran. Implementasi dari Quizizz ini diharapkan dapat mendorong adopsi lebih luas dari teknologi pendidikan untuk mendukung evaluasi pembelajaran yang lebih interaktif dan menyenangkan.

Abstract

In order to welcome the 2024 elections, higher public participation, changes in political dynamics, and challenges in modern elections will be important points that need attention. These elections have the potential to bring about substantial changes in the political system, but also require a concerted effort from governments, political parties, and civil society to ensure the integrity, transparency, and inclusiveness of such elections. This requires important roles of the community in their respective domiciles. The most strategic level in socializing elections is the village. Inside there is a Voting Election Officer (PPS) whose job is to coordinate village communities to participate in the 2024 elections. Political communication is very influential in political strategy. In this study, researchers want to analyze how PPS socializes this upcoming election. The aim of this research is to ascertain the mechanism of political correspondence and its effects on the inhabitants of Gedangsewu Village. Employing Carl L. Hoylan's concept of mindset alteration, the mode of inquiry or information gathering adopted in this investigation is through documentation and conducting interviews.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bilingualism that often occurs is a lot of code-switching or code-mixing, both in learning and outside learning. This phenomenon also occurs in the Arabic village, exactly in an Arabic course. The aims of this study are (1) to compare the forms of code-switching and code-mixing in learning and outside learning and (2) to reveal the language attitudes of respondents and the causes of code-switching and code-mixing. This research uses a descriptive-comparative method with an observational study design. The results show that three forms of external code-switching were found in one learning period (one month), ten forms of external code-mixing, and one form of internal code-mixing. Outside of learning, one form of internal code-switching, two forms of external code-switching, and three forms of external code-switching are found. In learning, code-switching is caused by familiarity, annoyance, and formality, while code-mixing is caused by the speaker’s first language, prestigious, language habit, and language limitation. Outside of learning, code-switching is caused by relax situation, familiarity, and assumption, while language habit and relax situation cause code-mixing. Code-switching and code-mixing relate to the attitude of respondents language towards Arabic, which is in the high category with a percentage of 79.42%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis motif penggunaan ChatGPT serta menguji pengaruhnya terhadap efikasi akademik mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Agama Islam (PAI) Universitas Nahdlatul Ulama Indonesia. Latar belakang penelitian didasari oleh meningkatnya penggunaan kecerdasan buatan generatif di kalangan mahasiswa, khususnya ChatGPT, yang sering dimanfaatkan untuk memahami materi kuliah, menyelesaikan tugas, maupun mencari referensi cepat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan pendekatan survei. Sampel berjumlah 150 mahasiswa yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa kuesioner skala Likert yang mengukur dua variabel, yaitu motif penggunaan ChatGPT (kognitif, instrumental, afektif, dan sosial) serta efikasi akademik mahasiswa (keyakinan diri, regulasi diri, dan penguasaan tugas). Analisis data dilakukan dengan regresi linier sederhana dan menggunakan program SPSS. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa meskipun mahasiswa PAI menggunakan ChatGPT dengan berbagai motif, penggunaan tersebut tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap efikasi akademik. Faktor internal seperti motivasi pribadi, pengalaman belajar, dan dukungan akademik lebih dominan dalam menentukan efikasi mahasiswa. Dengan demikian, ChatGPT berperan hanya sebagai alat bantu belajar, bukan sebagai faktor yang meningkatkan atau menurunkan keyakinan diri akademik mahasiswa.

Abstract

Connection ability is one of the mathematical skills standards that students must possess. Mathematical connection ability is the capability to relate mathematics to other fields of study as well as to mathematics itself. In the mathematics instruction for Class X MP 2, based on the results of an initial assessment, it was found that only 20% of students had a sufficiently good connection ability, while the remaining 80% lacked this skill. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of using the discovery learning model to improve the mathematical connection ability of Class X students at SMK Negeri 5 Madiun in exponent material. The study uses a Classroom Action Research (CAR) method, conducted over two cycles. The subjects of the study were 31 students from Class X MP 2 at SMK Negeri 5 Madiun. The study was conducted through several stages in each cycle, namely planning, action, observation, and reflection. The results of this study showed an increase in students' mathematical connection abilities through the application of the discovery learning model. Learning using the discovery learning model in mathematics for Class X MP 2 at SMK Negeri 5 Madiun can enhance students' mathematical connection abilities from 46.67% in the pre-cycle, 68.33% in Cycle I, to 78.3% in Cycle II.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mendeskripsikan implementasi model Project Based Learning (PjBL) dalam pembelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam dan Sosial (IPAS) di MI Miftahul Ulum Tulung Jaya serta dampaknya terhadap pemahaman konsep, keterampilan kolaborasi, keterampilan psikomotor, dan motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan desain studi kasus yang melibatkan guru IPAS dan siswa kelas IV. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta tes hasil belajar, dan dianalisis menggunakan teknik reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa PjBL diimplementasikan melalui enam tahapan utama: perumusan pertanyaan mendasar, perencanaan proyek, penyusunan jadwal, pelaksanaan proyek, monitoring, dan presentasi hasil. Penerapan PjBL terbukti meningkatkan pemahaman konsep siswa, terlihat dari peningkatan nilai rata-rata dari 58,4 menjadi 83,7. Kemampuan kolaborasi, keterampilan psikomotor, serta motivasi dan keaktifan siswa juga meningkat secara signifikan melalui kegiatan proyek yang kontekstual dan melibatkan praktik langsung. Guru dan siswa memberikan respons positif terhadap model ini karena pembelajaran menjadi lebih bermakna, menyenangkan, dan relevan dengan kehidupan nyata. Secara keseluruhan, PjBL efektif diterapkan dalam pembelajaran IPAS di sekolah dasar
