Abstract

Mesin gyratory crusher di PT. X telah beroperasi cukup lama, dalam operasionalnya sehingga sering mengalami kerusakan yang menyebakan menurunnya jumlah produksi yang berakibat pada kerugian perusahaan. Disamping itu belum diketahui komponen-komponen yang termasuk kategori kritis, sehingga proses perawatan menjadi kurang efektif dengan indikasi kerusakan yang masih terus terjadi. Penelitian menggunakan metode RCM (Reliability Centered Maintenance) ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui komponen kritis dan menentukan tindakan perawatan yang tepat dengan biaya perawatan yang optimal. Berdasarkan hasil analisis dan perhitungan dapat diketahui komponen kritis mesin gyratory crusher pada komponen top seal, bottom seal dan van belt. Pada komponen top seal interval waktu perawatan pencegahan 50 hari (berupa penggantian komponen) dengan nilai C(tp) 388853,21872, bottom seal interval waktu perawatan pencegahan 74 hari (berupa penggantian komponen) dengan nilai C(tp) 26169,57 dan van belt interval waktu perawatan pencegahan 28 hari (berupa pemeriksaan dan penggantian komponen) dengan nilai C(tp) 89288,23003. Dalam hal ini interval waktu perawatan untuk seluruh komponen kritis dapat dijadikan dasar kebijakan perawatan yang optimal.

Abstract

Wukirharjo is a village that has potential in the field of maize crop agriculture, corn is a plant that is taken from the seeds and leaves the skin and cob. In Wukirharjo, corn cobs are only used as fuel and some are traded. Corn cobs can be used appropriately and will be of very high value and benefit the community itself, one of which can be used as a medium for corn cob mushrooms. The mushrooms produced can be consumed alone or traded in large markets. Based on the above problems the authors took the initiative to provide assistance to the village of Wukirharjo, Parengan District, Tuban Regency with the aim of utilizing and holding “Training for Making Corn Cob Mushrooms”. The use of the corn cob itself to reduce agricultural waste, as corn commodities. This service aims as basic knowledge for community empowerment through the use of waste in Wukirharjo village as well as ways to develop the potential of natural resources in the village. This service in the form of assistance, in addition to partnering with the village head of Wukirharjo and his staff, also with PKK women and Posyandu cadres in Wukirharjo village. The method applied in this service is by providing assistance and training at the local Village Hall. The expected result of this service is as a motivation for the community to be more creative in their work through the use of goods or waste around them so that they have economic value that can spur a better economy and support the welfare of the people in Wukirharjo village. This service can be said to be successful when there is a change in people's knowledge and skills regarding formulation, making growth media, and mushroom cultivation techniques using corn cobs.

Abstract

Indonesia has salt resources in seawater along the Java Sea coast. However, the high salt content in seawater causes difficulties for various industries that use seawater as their raw material. A Taguchi experimental design using TUF filters was carried out to determine the best TUF filter composition in producing high-quality salt. The factors considered were the compositions of three materials, namely crushed coral, charcoal, and palm fibers. The results obtained for the sample filters were analyzed using one-way ANOVA, Minitab, and the Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) method. The optimal TUF filter composition was found to be 450g finely crushed coral, 350g finely crushed charcoal, and 30g palm fibers. The study results revealed that the best factor for improving salt quality was crushed coral, with a contribution of 65.63842% and an F-value of 109.3333. Charcoal also provided a significant contribution of 24.40453% with an F-value of 40.65041. However, palm fibers did not contribute significantly to improving salt quality. The optimal TUF filter composition can help improve salt quality and increase productivity while reducing costs for various industries such as food production and preservation. The optimal composition of 450g of crushed coral, 350g of charcoal, and 30g of palm fibers can significantly improve the quality of salt production. In conclusion, the use of TUF filters with the optimal composition of 450g crushed coral, 350g charcoal, and 30g palm fibers can significantly improve salt quality. This study provides insight into the potential applications of TUF filters and should encourage further exploration of the technology's potential in various industries.

Abstract

English Academic Purposes (EAP)is becoming increasingly important in various fields, including industrial engineering. This study aims to analyze the current challenges faced by students in the Industrial Engineering study program regarding English use and propose potential solutions. The analysis is conducted through questionnaires and interviews with students, focusing on their experiences and difficulties in English language learning. The challenges identified include limited exposure to English-speaking environments, lack of interactive learning resources, and inadequate support in English proficiency development. Purposes of this research is to address these challenges; several solutions are proposed. First, incorporating English language activities and projects into the Industrial Engineering curriculum. Second, providing more interactive learning resources, such as language labs, conversation partners, and online platforms, to enhance speaking and listening skills. Third, organizing extracurricular activities, such as English workshops. The findings of this study can guide educational institutions in identifying the challenges faced by students in English language learning and assist in the implementation of effective solutions. By improving English proficiency within the study program, they will be better prepared to thrive in a globalized industrial engineering environment.

Abstract

PT. Swabina Gatra merupakan perusahaan di bidang penyalur ketenaga kerja ke perusahaan. Bersangkutan dengan masalah perlindungan tenaga kerja terhadap kecelakaan kerja. Kecelakaan terjadi dikarena hubungan resiko suatu pekerjaan. Tujuan penelitian adalah menghitung kecelakaan kerja dengan menggunakan metode statistik kecelakan kerja. Selain itu untuk pengaruh Keselamatan dan Kesehatan Kerja (K3) terhadap kinerja karyawan di PT. Swabina Gatra. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan statistik kecelakaan kerja meliputi incident rate, frequency rate, severty rate, average time lost dan safe T-score. Dari hasil penelitian ini dari perhitungan statistik kecelakaan kerja didapatkan nilai incident rate pada tahun 2020 mengalami peningkatan di tahun 2021, dari perhitungan frequency rate pada tahun 2020 mengalami peningkatan tahun 2021, severty rate pada tahun 2020 mengalami peningkatan tahun 2021, average time lost rate pada tahun 2020 mengalami peningkatan tahun 2021, sedangkan safe T- score tahun 2020 ke tahun 2021 mengalami penurunan. Hasil variabel Kesehatan Kerja dan Keselamatan Kerja secara simultan mempunyai pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kinerja karyawan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut disimpulkan bahwa variabel Keselamatan Kerja (X1) mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Y) dan variabel Kesehatan Kerja (X2) tidak mempunyai pengaruh signifikan terhadap Kinerja Karyawan (Y). hasil penelitian variabel keselamatan lebih dominan berpengaruh terhadap kinerja karyawan pada PT. Swabina Gatra.

Abstract

Tuban Regency has one of the Indonesian Vocational Training Centers (Balai Latihan Kerja Indonesia or BLKI) which serves as a platform to enhance soft skills and skills in various technical fields such as automotive engineering, welding, agricultural or fisheries processing, woodworking, information and communication technology, sewing, graphic design or DrafterCad, electrical engineering, creative industries, culinary arts, and CNC manufacturing. The purpose of this research is to determine the partial influence of trainees' satisfaction at the BLKI Tuban Regency. In this study, the researcher uses the Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) method to determine the magnitude of the participants' satisfaction index and analyze the attributes that require further attention to improve trainee satisfaction. The research instrument employs a questionnaire distributed to 30 respondents of the 2022 first batch CNC manufacturing and Draft Cad programs. Customer satisfaction is measured using 5 dimensions, namely tangible, reliability, responsiveness, assurance, and empathy. The data obtained from the 30 respondents are then processed using SPSS 16 software, and the validity test is deemed valid with an r-table of 0.361. The results of the reliability test show a Cronbach's alpha of 0.947, which indicates reliability.The findings of this research fall into quadrant III, indicating low priority and the need for further improvement in its implementation. The attributes within quadrant III include; Clean and fragrant toilets, Comfortable Waiting Rooms and Registration Areas, Availability of Handwashing Facilities, and Food Menu Suitability and Variability. Kabupaten Tuban memiliki salah satu Balai Latihan Kerja Indonesia (BLKI) yang merupakan wadah mengasah soft skill, keterampilan meliputi kejuruuan otomotif, teknik pengelasan, pengolahan hasil pertanian atau perikanan, woodworking, informasi dan komunikasi, menjahit, design grafis atau DrafterCad, teknik listrik, industri kreatif, tata boga dan mesin CNC manufaktur. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui pengaruh secara parsial kepuasan peserta pelatihan di BLKI Kabupaten Tuban. Dalam penelitian ini peneliti menggunakan metode Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) melalui pendekatan dapat diketahui besaran indeks kepuasan peserta sekaligus analisa mengenai atribut yang membutuhkan penanganan lebih lanjut guna meningkatkan kepuasan peserta pelatihan. Instrument penelitian ini menggunakan kuisioner yang dibagikan kepada 30 responden program CNC manufaktur dan draftercad angkatan pertama tahun 2022. Untuk mengukur kualitas kepuasan pelanggan dengan menggunakan 5 dimensi yaitu bukti fisik (Tangible), kendalan (Reabilitiy), ketanggapan (Responsiveness), jaminan (Assurance), dan empati (Emphaty). Data yang diperoleh dari 30 responden selanjutnya diolah menggunakan software SPSS 16 sehingga uji validitas dinyatakan valid dengan r tabel 0,361. Dari hasil uji reliabilitas didapat hasil cronbach alpha 0,947 yang berarti reliable. Hasil penelitian ini pada kuadran III yaitu prioritas rendah dan perlu ditingkatkan lagi pelaksanaanya, atribut dalam kuadran III antara lain ; Toilet yang bersih dan wangi, Ruang Tunggu Dan Ruang Pendaftaran Yang Nyaman, Terdapat Tempat Cuci Tangan dan Kesesuaian Menu Makanan Dan Variatif.

Abstract

Industry in Indonesia has experienced a lot of progress, one of which is driven by policies in the small industrial sectors. The case study in this research is the "Mbak Sum" cassava chips UKM located in Krajan Hamlet, Ngawun Village, Parengan District. The packaging of the "Mbak Sum" cassava chips is still quite simple. So, in order to expand marketing and develop sales of cassava chips, this research was carried out to create packaging for cassava chips. The method used is the Kansei Engineering method which is able to process words chosen by consumers as something they want from the product into design specifications for the product. Data collection in this research was obtained from interviews, related journal literature and surveys of several snack products to serve as references. The data obtained was then compiled into a closed questionnaire using a Likert scale consisting of 5 importance scales. The conclusion from this research is that the percentage level of importance is obtained, namely 3 attributes with an importance level of "Quite Important", 53 attributes with an importance level of "Important" and 3 attributes with an importance level of "Very Important". Because the percentage results that are "Important" are 53 attributes with the total percentage being 3,626.7, divided by the number of attributes that are important, namely 53 attributes, the average is found to be 68.43. So, in order to define attributes that have an importance level of "Important", by looking at the percentage of the attribute, if the percentage value is above 68.43 then the attribute must be used and if it is below 68.43 then the attribute does not have to be used or is in accordance with the designer's needs.   Perindustrian di Indonesia telah mengalami begitu banyak kemajuan, salah satunya didorong oleh adanya kebijakan dari sektor-sektor industri kecil. Studi kasus dalam penelitian ini adalah UKM keripik singkong “Mbak Sum” yang berada di Dusun Krajan, Desa Ngawun, Kecamatan Parengan.. Kemasan keripik singkong “Mbak Sum” masih cukup sederhana. Sehingga, demi memperluas pemasaran dan berkembangnya penjualan keripik singkong tersebut, maka dilakukan penelitian ini untuk membuat kemasan keripik singkong. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode Kansei Engineering yang mampu mengolah kata yang dipilih oleh konsumen sebagai sesuatu yang diinginkan dari produk menjadi spesifikasi desain dari produk. Pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini didapatkan dari wawancara, literatur jurnal terkait dan survey beberapa produk makanan ringan untuk dijadikan sebagai referensi. Data yang diperoleh kemudian disusun menjadi kuesioner tertutup dengan menggunakan skala Likert yang terdiri dari 5 skala kepentingan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini diperoleh persentase tingkat kepentingan, yaitu 3 atribut dengan tingkat kepentingan “Cukup Penting”, 53 atribut dengan tingkat kepentingan “Penting” dan 3 atribut dengan tingkat kepentingan “Sangat Penting”. Karena hasil persentase yang bernilai “Penting” adalah sebanyak 53 atribut dengan jumlah keseluruhan persentasenya adalah 3.626,7, dibagi dengan banyaknya atribut yang bernilai penting yaitu 53 butir atribut, sehingga ditemukan rata-rata yaitu 68,43. Jadi, demi memberi batasan atribut yang memiliki tingkat kepentingan “Penting”, adalah dengan melihat persentase atributnya, apabila nilai persentasediatas 68,43 maka atribut wajib digunakan dan apabila di bawah 68,43 maka atribut tidak wajib digunakan atau sesuai dengan kebutuhan dari perancang.

Abstract

Jenu Tuban Beach has natural beauty and an abundance of fish which is the source of livelihood for local residents. However, fish catches often experience freshness during trips to the market due to the use of fish coolers that are not optimal. In order to avoid financial losses for fishermen, the development of fish coolers with better technology and automatic cooling rate is indispensable. Currently, the fish cooler used is still ineffective and prone to damage, so it is necessary to develop better technology. This process involves identifying the needs of fishermen through direct interviews and questionnaire design, as well as testing validity and consistency. The results of identification and technical response are designed in the House of Quality matrix, and are processed by determining both relationships by prioritizing Raw Weight results. Solar Fish Cooler can maintain fish temperature for 3 hours with cooling level up to -200C. This tool operates with sunlight energy and is suitable for use in areas that are difficult to reach conventional electricity sources. The main priorities in improving product quality are the duration of long-lasting cooling, the level of temperature stability and ease of product repair. The development was carried out by combining temperature and humidity sensor technology. Research on these tools can contribute to the development of technologies and the reduction of fossil fuel use in the field of sustainable fisheries.

Abstract

The rapid development of the food industry along with the increasing mobility of the community drives the demand for more sophisticated, hygienic, and efficient kitchen utensils. However, frying utensils that are still often used have weaknesses, such as uneven heat distribution and less than optimal residue filtration. This can reduce product quality and production efficiency, so improvements are needed to maintain product consistency and quality. This research aims to redesign the frying device. The SWOT method in this study helps to identify weaknesses and opportunities for improvement in traditional frying utensils and  the Quality Function Deployment (QFD) method is used to identify user needs. The results of the study show that the development of this new frying device has proven to be more efficient compared to traditional convex pans, especially in a more even distribution of heat. With the addition of thermostat features, kitchen timer, gas detector, and waste filtration system. These innovations not only improve efficiency and convenience, but also provide additional protection for user safety.

Abstract

Desa Wukirharjo adalah desa yang memiliki potensi di bidang pertanin tanaman jagung, jagung adalah tanaman yang diambil bijinya dan menyisakan kulit dan bonggolnya. Di desa Wukirharjo bonggol jagung hanya dijadikan bahan bakar saja dan ada juga yang di perjual belikan. Bonggol jagung bisa dimanfaatkan dengan tepat dan akan bernilai sangat tinggi dan mengguntungkan masyarakat itu sendiri, salah satunya dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai media jamur bonggol jagung. jamur yang dihasilkan dapat dikonsumsi sendiri atau diperjual belikan di pasar- pasar luas, berdasarkan dari permasalahan diatas penulis berinisiatif mengadakan pendampinga desa Wukirharjo kecamatan Parengan kabupaten Tuban dengan tujuan pemanfaatan dan mengadakan “ Pelatihan Pembuatan Jamur Bonggol Jagung” . Dan pemanfaatan bonggol jagung sendiri untuk mengurangi limbah hasil pertanian yaitu dari komoditas jagung mengurangi limbah hasil pertanian yaitu dari komoditas jagung. Pengabdian ini bertujuan sebagai pengetahuan dasar untuk pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pemanfaatan limbah yang ada di desa Wukirharjo serta cara-cara untuk mengembangkan potensi sumber daya alam yang ada di desa tersebut. Pengabdian dalam bentuk pendampingan ini, selain bermitra dengan kepala desa Wukirharjo dan stafnya juga bermitra dengan ibu-ibu PKK dan kader posyandu di desa wukirharjo. Adapun metode yang diterapkan dalam pengabdian ini dengan mengadakan pendampingan serta pelatihan yang dilakukan di Balai Desa setempat . Hasil yang diharapkan dari pengabdian ini adalah sebagai motivasi masyarakat agar lebih kreatif dalam berkarya melalui pemanfaatan barang-barang atau limbah di sekitar agar bernilai ekonomi yang mampu memacu ekonomi lebih baik dan menunjang kesejahteraan masyarakat yang ada didesa Wukirharjo. Pengabdian ini dapat dikatakan berhasil ketika terdapat perubahan pengetahuan dan keterampilan masyarakat mengenai formulasi, pembuatan media pertumbuhan, serta teknik budidaya jamur memanfaatkan bonggol jagung.
