Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to find out and analyze the implementation of legal responsibility for marriage annulment in Decision Number: 245/Pdt.G/2021/PA.Btm. To find out and analyze Decision Number: 245/Pdt.G/2021/PA.Btm regarding legal liability for marriage annulment by the Religious Courts to strengthen legal certainty. This study uses a descriptive analytical research type method using an empirical juridical approach. The results of the study show that the implementation of legal responsibility for marriage annulment in Decision Number: 245/Pdt.G/2021/PA.Btm did not run optimally because the Respondent never attended the trial process and the Panel of Judges made a decision by granting the Petitioner's request with verstek, and declaring null and void The marriage of the Petitioner and Respondent was held on September 19 2020 before the Marriage Registrar of the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA). Analysis of Decision Number: 245/Pdt.G/2021/PA.Btm on legal responsibility for canceling marriages by the Religious Courts to confirm legal certainty, namely that the cancellation of marriages can be accounted for and realized to strengthen legal certainty. This is because the Petitioner in this case has fulfilled all the requirements specified for annulment of marriage. Apart from that, the annulment of the marriage which was granted by the Panel of Judges also provided a sense of justice for the Petitioner, who so far had the right to receive spiritual support but the Respondent as a married couple was unable to fulfill it. For this reason, it is recommended for couples who want to get married to be open to each other about each other's shortcomings. To parents to carefully consider every process of applying for an annulment of marriage, and try to maintain their children's household as best as possible and to the Panel of Judges to consider the decision as fair as possible and ensure the wishes of both parties

Abstract

Abstract

This study examines the development potential and carrying capacity of minawisata (fisheries-based marine tourism) in Kampung Madong–Sei Nyirih, Tanjungpinang City, Kepulauan Riau Province, in response to growing demands for sustainable coastal development and alternative livelihoods for fishing communities. The research aims to evaluate land suitability, environmental carrying capacity, and infrastructure readiness for three main clusters: mangrove ecotourism, fishing tourism, and floating net cage aquaculture. A mixed-methods approach was applied, combining Geographic Information Systems (GIS)-based spatial analysis, carrying capacity calculations aligned with national regulatory standards, and qualitative input from government, community, academic, and private stakeholders. The results revealed that 66.03% (199.42 ha) of mangrove areas and 99.13% (322.47 ha) of marine waters are highly suitable for tourism activities, while only 1.0% of the assessed areas are suitable for floating net cage aquaculture. Carrying capacity estimates showed the potential to accommodate 1,595 daily visitors for mangrove-based tourism, 1,075 for fishing activities, and 45 for aquaculture tourism. These findings underscore significant opportunities for developing integrated fisheries-tourism models, especially through mangrove conservation and traditional fishing practices that align with sustainable tourism principles. However, challenges remain in addressing infrastructure gaps, institutional coordination, and community capacity for tourism service delivery. The study concludes that Kampung Madong–Sei Nyirih holds strong potential as a model for sustainable coastal development that integrates conservation, economic diversification, and community empowerment. Its implementation could provide practical lessons for similar coastal regions in Indonesia and Southeast Asia facing the dual challenges of environmental protection and livelihood improvement

Abstract

Sea cucumbers are members of the Phylum Echinodermata which have high economic value and widely used by the coastal communities of the Riau Islands as food sources and medicines. Unregulated fishing greatly pressure sea cucumber populations in natural waters. Aquculture is regarded as a solution to the over-exploitation of sea cucumbers from natural waters. However, further research is needed to establish the better technical and economic efficiency. Local sea cucumber farmer needs information about the technical aspects of sea cucumber seed production so they can produce the seeds independently. Therefore, a series of dissemination and demonstrations were organized to introduce the method of produce sea cucumber seeds using the fission technique. This community service activity was carried out using the participatory action research (PAR) method involving the Maju Mandiri fish farmer group in Kampung Madong, Kampung Bugis Village, Tanjungpinang City. The team carried out counseling and demonstrated the binding procedure to simulate fission in sea cucumber. Our partner group seemed enthusiastic about participating in the activity and quite proficient on some basic fission techniques to provide sea cucumber seeds. This activity also raises awareness among the locals to actively maintain the sustainability of marine resources. So, we hope our partner group can start the sea cucumber culture business with independent seed production, and they can achieve our goals to improving community welfare and preserving the water environment simultaneously.

Abstract

Sea cucumber (Holothuria scabra) contains lots of collagen and vitamin E for the pharmaceutical and cosmetic industries. H. scabra have high economic value. The price in the local market is IDR 400,000-1,200,000/kg and internationally it is IDR 500,000-IDR 5,000,000/kg dry weight. The level of exploitation is high, and it is suspected that there has been overfishing in several areas. Cultivation efforts need to be done to maintain the population in nature. The natural rate of gonad maturation and spawning in H. scabra broodstock is relatively slow, so efforts are needed to speed it up, among other things by administering hormones. This study aimed to stimulate (1) gonad maturation and (2) H. scabra spawning. The study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 3 treatments and 3 replications in 2 stages using broodstock measuring 250-350 g/head. Stage 1: (1) Treatment A: without immersing the H. scabra in hormone solution, (2) Treatment B: immersing the H. scabra in the Oodev®/Oocyte developer dose of 1 mL/kg weight, and (3) Treatment C: soaking sea cucumber broodstock in Oodev® dose of 2 mL/kg weight. Stage 2: (1) without immersion of the broodstock in hormone solution, (2) immersion of the broodstock in Ovaprim® doses of 1 mL/kg weight. The data obtained were analyzed by analysis of variance. The results showed that immersion of H. scabra broodstock in Oodev® and ovaprim® was not successful in stimulating gonad maturation and spawning in H. scabra broodstock. The spawning behavior of sea cucumbers that were successfully observed included body movements such as writhing, coiling like a ball, sticking to walls, partially erecting their bodies, actively crawling, and being more active at night. Keywords: Gonad; Holothuria scabra; Oodev®; Ovaprim®; Spawning; Sea cucumber.

Abstract

Seaweed or algae is macro algae whose habitat is in sea water and several types in brackish water. There are several seaweed cultivation techniques, one of which is the off-bottom technique. The off-bottom technique with different levels of cultivation facilities where seaweed seeds are placed has never been carried out by aquaculturis in the Bintan Island area, Riau Islands (Kepri). The aim of the research was to determine the speed of increase in weight of seaweed grown in cultivation facilities with different numbers of levels using the off-bottom technique. The research will be carried out in September-October 2022 on the sea coast of Tembeling Village, Bintan Regency. The experiment was carried out with three treatments and each was repeated 3 times in a completely randomized design. The treatments consisted of 1 level (K), 2 levels (A) and 3 levels (B) cultivation facilities. The Anova results showed that the weight gain of the seaweed test was significantly different between the three treatments (p<0.05). The best results in the 3 level cultivation facility treatment (B) were 11.04±0.73 g, but the survival and daily growth rates were not significantly different (p>0.05).
