Abstract

This research was done to investigate the growth rate and feed convertion ratio of Monopterus albus fed with various live foods in water medium. This research was done on June – July 2010 in Laboratory D3 Fisheries, Biology Faculty, UNSOED. The research was used experiment method based on Completely Randomized Designed with four treatment (Tubifex, cricket, yellow meal worm and pellet), and four repliacates. Data were analysed by ANOVA and the variables observed were absolute growth rate, specific growth rate, feed convertion ratio and survival rate. The results for the provision of tubifex worms, crickets, and the pellet was Tenebrio molitor is absolute growth rate of 7.48 ± 1.29 g, 4.52 ± 0.59 g, 5.08 g ± 1.37 and -0.62 ± 0, 79 g, specific growth rate of 0.18% ± 1.09, 0.75 ±0.08%, 0.76 ± 0.18% and -0.15 ± 0.16% , feed conversion ratio of 2.23 ± 0.21, 3.55 ± 0.54, 3.13 ± 0.4 and -6.37 ± 8.7 and survival rate of 91.68%, 95.83%, 83 , 35% and 95.83%. Water quality parameter for temperature 24–280C, water pH 6, Dissolved Oxygen 2,72–0,54 mg/L and ammonia 1,32–4,36 mg/L.

Abstract

The research was title The Effect of Pregnant Mare Serum Gonadotropin (PMSG) Pure and Combinations against Gonadosomatik Index, Hepatosomatic Index Silver Pompano (Trachinotus blochii). The purpose of this research was to obtain the best hormone treatment to increase the gonadosomatic index and Hepatosomatic Index. This research used a Completely Randomized Design with 3 treatments and 3 replicates of fish. The treatments include Control (0.5 ml NaCl), PMSG (20 IU kg-1 fish body weight) and PG600 (20 IU. Kg-1 fish body weight). Parameters calculated include Gonadosomatic Index (GSI), Hepatosomatic Index (HSI) and Absolute Growth. The best results were PG600 treatment with Gonadosomatic Index (0.12±0.06), Hepatosomatic Index (2.29±0.15 %) and Absolute Growth    (85±31.32 g) for 4 weeks. The conclusion of this study is the provision of pure PMSG and combination with a dose of      20 IU. Kg-1 body weight can  increase gonadosomatik index, hepatosomatic index and absolute growth of Silver Pompano fish. Keywords : Silver Pompano Fish, PMSG, PG600, Gonadosomatic Index

Abstract

The value of conversion rate and feed efficiency is a parameter for determining the quality, treatment, or feed given to the growth of Silver Pompano (Trachinotus blochii). The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of feeding frequency on feed conversion and efficiency and survival of Silver Pompano. The research method used was a Completely Randomized Design (RAL) with 3 treatments (Control namely feeding once a day, A was feeding 2 days, and B was feeding once every 3 days) with 3 replications. The best results were K treatment at 2.11 g (feed conversion ratio), 47.32% (feed efficiency), and 100% (survival). The conclusion of this study is that the treatment given during the study by ANOVA analysis did not give a significant effect on the conversion value and feed efficiency. Feeding with a frequency of 1 time a day (control) shows the best weight growth and can be applied to cultivation. Keywords: conversion rate, feed efficiency, Silver Pompano

Abstract

Keberhasilan pemijahan menentukan ketersediaan benih siput gonggong. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan jenis hormon berbeda yaitu ovaprim® dan hCG dalam menstimulasi pemijahan siput gonggong. Delapanpuluh empat pasang induk disuntik sesuai rancangan dengan ovaprim® atau hCG, atau kombinasi keduanya masing-masing dengan dosis 0,5 µL/g BB. Induk pascasuntik dipijahkan dalam akuarium dengan densitas 7 pasang per akuarium. Parameter yang diamati adalah: jumlah induk yang memijah, jumlah telur dikeluarkan oleh induk, waktu latensi, dan tampilan histologi gonad induk. Uji Kruskal Wallis digunakan untuk menganalisis data jumlah induk mijah, dan analysis of variance (ANOVA) untuk menganalisis jumlah telur dikeluarkan oleh induk siput. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak ada perbedaan signifikan (P>0,05) jumlah induk mijah di antara perlakuan, namun pemberian hCG memberikan jumlah induk mijah paling tinggi (52,38%). Waktu latensi induk mijah umumnya mulai mijah pada hari ke-2 dan ke-3 setelah pemberian 0,5 µL/gBB ovaprim. Berdasarkan persentase induk mijah dan nilai seluruh parameter pengamatan disimpulkan bahwa pemberian suntikan hCG dosis 0,5 µL/g BB (P1) memberikan respons lebih baik dibanding perlakuan lain.

Abstract

Gray eeltailed catfish is one of the local commodities in the Riau Islands. Domestication and aquaculture has not been done. Reproduction is one of problems in the Aquaculture effort. Gonadal maturity is stage preparation of the prospective parent for spawning process. One of efforts to gonad maturation is hormonal induction. This study purpose to determine effect of various brands hCG hormones on gonad maturity and determine the best hCG hormone brands that can accelerate the maturity of gonad fish crossing optimally. The research design was a completely randomized design with 5 treatments (hCG Polaris hormone, hCG sifation, hCG Chorullon, Oodev and NaCl solvent with 3 replications. The best hCG hormone is the hCG Polaris hormone reaching gonad maturation II. The best Treatment were the Oodev hormone treatment (gonadosomatic index (0.54 ± 0.19%), gonadal maturity level (gonad 3), egg diameter (0.54 ± 0.19 mm)

Abstract

The aims of the study was to determine the effect of recombinant growth hormone (rGH) on the growth of Silver pompano (Trachinotus blochii). This research was conducted using Complete Random Device) design experimentation i.e. control (non rGH), A (2 mg.kg-1), B (of 3 mg.kg-1), and C (4 mg.kg-1) of feed dry wieght (w/w) by four individual restating (each test 15 fish). Several parameter was observeb included absolute Growth, Specific Growth, feed convertion ratio, survival rate, mortality and water quality (DO, pH, temperature and salinity). The results showed that treatment C resulting an absolute growth of 19.9 g with a specific growth 0.71 g/ day). Feed convertion ratio was 5.8 while survival rate was 16.67% and Mortality reached 83.33 %. Results The analysis of water quality parameters are range DO (5.2-7.1mg L-1), salinity (25-28 ppt), pH (6.8-7.1) and temperature (30-31.2° C). Reviews These results indicate that rGH can increase the growth S. pompano fish compared to the control treatment.Keyword: recombinant Growth Hormone, Growth, Silver pompano

Abstract

This study aimed to determine the optimum dose of hCGto support the processing gonadal maturation of Gray Eeltailed Catfish (Plotosus canius) and to determine influencing  of hCG injections treatment (quality and quantity) to TKG of Gray Eeltailed Catfish (Plotosus canius). The study was conducted in October-November 2018 in Madong, Tanjungpinang City, Riau Island. This study used a completely randomized design (RAL) method with 4 treatments that were control (NaCl), A (dose 15 IU.Kg-1), B (dose 20 IU.Kg-1), and C (dose 25 IU.Kg-1) and 3 replications. Floating net cages (KJA) with size 1mx1mx1m as containers were used to maintain test fish. The results showed that treatment B gave the best results in the study. Treatment B namely injecting hCG with a dose of 20 IU.Kg-1 to reach TKG II for the whole parent, then GSI reached 0.29%, but the HSI value of A treatment was better on 1.93%, egg diameter 1.57 mm, fecundity reached 3,706 grains, with specific growth reaching 0.83 g and histologically, the gonads were characterized by the potential for a fused nucleus and filled with egg yolk and the development of the oocyte only appears smaller and more uniform in diameter. Keyword: oocyte, female, diameter, fecundity, histology
