Abstract

AbstractVocabulary in language learning is very important, because by mastering vocabulary, students can speak according to the meaning of the dialogue. If the vocabulary learning is not adequate, it can be difficult to start a dialogue. Therefore using the audio visual method(cartoon movie)can be one of the methods to help students recognize and read vocabulary. The purpose of the research and thesis writing was to examine whether the audio visual method(cartoon movie) can improve students ability in mastering Mandarin vocabulary. The writer found that students of grade 3 of SMP N 10 feel difficult to remember the Mandarin vocabulary. The outcome shows that students learning progress is significantly improved. The results showed that the audio visual method(cartoon movie) was very good, because it was direct so it was easy for the students to understand. Apart from that, this method is very suitable in teaching Mandarin vocabulary.                                                                                                                                Keywords: Audio Visual Methods , Mastery Ability , Vocabulary Learning

Abstract

AbstractThe main purpose of this paper is to understand how to use peer teaching in a real teaching­-learning experience, to understand the peer teaching-learning method can increase student’s ability in learning Mandarin vocabulary. The subject of this research is the eleventh grade of SMK LKIA for accounting major. The method used in this research is classroom action research , research method , test method and comparison method.Based on the result , the researcher found that peer teaching has increased student’s motivation in the class.This method also helps student’s to understand Mandarin vocabulary. Besides using  peer teaching learning method in teaching learning process stimulates students , moreover , peer teaching increases student’s interest in learning, increases score, confidence and makes student easier to get teaching learning strategy of “peer” . Thus, the students have got a good improvement during learning process.

Abstract

AbstractNoun is word that represent people, things, times, and places. According to the meaning, noun is divided into six categories, one of them is the preposition。 The example of the preposition were “yilai” and “yihou”. In the Chinese learning class, some learners were misunderstood with the use of the two words and misused them. There were also some errors  in the application of the words. The author examined students of Chinese Teacher Education of Tanjungpura university in academic year 2016. The author examined the learners ‘mastery of the preposition “yilai” and “yihou” and analyzed the learners’ difficulty in learning the preposition “yilai” and “yihou”. The result of the research showed that the students of Chinese Teacher Education of Tanjungpura university in academic year 2016 were more able touseandunderstand ‘yihou’ rather than the use of ‘yilai’. The percentage of “yihou” was 66%, while “yilai” was only 61%.  Keyword: preposition, yilai, yihou, the analysis of mastery

Abstract

AbstractVerbs are one of the most commonly used syntax in Chinese expression and important materials in Chinese teaching. For example, verbs "qubie" and "fenbie" are often used in daily spoken Chinese. There are some differences in the usage of these two words, which makes students incorrect on using them. In order to understand the situation and difficulties of Tanjungpura University FKIP Untan Chinese Education Program batch 2016 students in mastering the verbs "qubie" and "fenbie", the author uses the test method to test the students. The test results show that some of the usages of these two modal words have been mastered well, but some of them are not mastered very well. The correct rates of "Qu Bie" and "Fen Bie" are 53.47% and 65.08% respectively.Keywords: Allegation, Difference and Distinguish, Mastery Analysis?Verb

Abstract

AbstractVerbs is a words that express the state of action behavior, physiology or psychology. There are many verbs in Chinese, which is “gaibian” and “zhuanbian”. Although the meanings of these two words are similar, their usages are different. Therefore, Chinese students tend to misuse these two words. In order to understand the mastery of verb “gaibian” and “zhuanbian” by 2016 Chinese majors of Tanjungpura University, the author use the method to test the student and analyses the difficulties of “gaibian” and “zhuanbian”. The test results show that students’mastery of “gaibian” is better than “zhuanbian”. The correct rate of “gaibian” is 70%, the corrate rate of “zhuanbian” is only 61%. When analyzing the difficulties, the author finds that the good usage that students grasp  is “gaibian” can bring “le” and “guo”. Nominal objects and indicators of “zhuanbian” change from one situation to another. Unmastered usage is “gaibian” show a change caused by external forces, and “zhuanbian” show its own change generally to be better and higher level. Keywords: Verbs Word, Gaibian and zhuanbian, Condition of Mastery

Abstract

AbstractThe aim of this research was to find out the level of learning motivation as well as the factors contributing to learning motivation. The research subjects were the students of SMKN 8 Pontianak. In this research, the writer used interview technique, questionnaire technique, and library research method in pursuing the aforementioned research purposes. The findings of the research revealed that students? learning motivation level were still very low (171.2). Two factors that are affecting learning motivation consist of internal and external factor. Internal factor consists of expectation, attention, and joyfulness in learning. External factor consists of family background, society background, and school environment. Even though external factor has also contributed to students? learning motivation, it was found that internal factor has more significant effect on students? learning motivation. This was proven by the low-level motivation which was caused by the lack of expectation, attention in studying Chinese language as well as the lack of joyfulness in learning. Keywords: External Factor, Internal Factor, Learning Motivation

Abstract

 AbstractConjunctions are an important part of Chinese grammar.Conjunction is a kind of function words, its role is to connect two words, phrases and clauses.In conjunction with the word "no matter" and "no matter" for example, the two words in the semantics and usage there is a difference and the same.Therefore, students on the?no matter?and?no matter " prone to error. In order to understand the mastery and difficulty of?no matter?and?no matter?students of the Chinese language majoring in Teachers College of Tanjung Pulai National University, the author used the test method to test the students.Test results showed that students have a better grasp of?no matter?than?no matter?."Regardless of" the correct rate of 73%, and?regardless of " the correct rate of 55%.Analysis of difficulties, the author found that students for "whether" to add "or, with, and" grasp the situation is not good.  Keyword: buguan, conjunctions, the analysis of mastery,wulun

Abstract

AbstractListening is one of the most important parts of learning a language. If you don't master at listening, it might affect other language learning abilities, for example: speaking, reading, and writing. Everyone has a different understanding ability, some people just need to listen once to immediately understand what they heard about, there are also some people who must listen for many times to understand what they heard. Therefore when learning languages, we must increase the listening skills. If you succeed in improving listening skill you will be useful for yourself. To find out the mastery of abilities and difficulties in listening to HSK level 4 in the mandarin language education students at Faculty of Teacher Training and Education,Study Program Chinese Language,Tanjungpura University 2016 generation, the author conducted research on students by using the listening part questions at HSK level 4. The results of the research on true and false questions section is 77.69% answers it correctly; second is multiple choice questions, the percentage that answers correctly is 61.54%. The result of listening HSK level 4 class B is very good, while class A is not so good. Abstract

AbstractGrammar is the rules of how to use words. Grammar is also one of the three elements of language. In Chinese, you will learn  parts of speech such as verb, noun, adjective, adverb, preposition, conjunction,etc. Each part of speech has its own usage. Many Chinese words have similar meanings, such as "manzu" and "manyi". In learning process, it often leads to language misuse if students are unable to distinguish between two similiar words. The writer conducted a research on the "manzu" and "manyi" of Chinese students of Teachers Training and Education Faculty year 2014 in Tanjungpura University  to analyze and understand the situation of students using these two words. The writer only investigated two types of errors which are errors and mistakes in the wrong order. The writer concluded that the error rate of "manzu" is 38.38% and 26.67% for "manyi", and the common type of errors is the mistake in words usage. In addition, the writer also  concluded that the reason of the error is because the influence in transferring language from the mother language to the target language. Abstract

AbstractNomina Classifier is one of the most commonly classifier that are used in Mandarin, it is also the focused and one of the difficulty in Mandarin teaching. Nomina Classifier such as : “gen”, “tiao”, “zhi” are three words that commonly use in daily life as well. They have similarities and differences in semantics which make students often have errors in the use of Nomina Classifier. The writer analyzestudents errorsused the Nomina Classifier such as : “gen”, “tiao”, “zhi” and find out their causes. From the results of the test, the writer concludes that the error rate of using  “gen”, “tiao”, “zhi” the error rate are : 51,65%, 47,45%, 52,47%. Student use the Nomina Classifier such as : “gen”, “tiao”, “zhi” the reason for the error is the mother tongue and the target language.
