Abstract

Abstract

Direct regional head elections began on June 1, 2005, allowing people to elect their own regional leaders. Provincial, Regency, and City Election Commissions are given the authority to organize direct regional elections and are accountable to the DPRD. Overall, the implementation of direct regional elections demonstrates Indonesia's commitment to strengthening people's sovereignty and implementing democratic principles. The regional election disputes in Pematangsiantar City and Karo Regency in 2015 and 2020 demonstrate the complexity of local political dynamics. The dispute in Pematangsiantar City began when the KPU disqualified one of the candidate pairs in the 2015 regional election, causing delays and dissatisfaction that continued until the 2020 regional election. Meanwhile, in Karo Regency, the 2015 and 2020 regional election disputes included allegations of campaign violations and vote manipulation, which were brought to the Constitutional Court but did not change the final results. These disputes reflect the challenges in implementing local democracy and the need for improvements in dispute resolution mechanisms to maintain integrity and public trust. The research method used is the normative-empirical legal research method. The data collection method uses literature study and interviews. This research is a qualitative research. Analysis is carried out on data from preliminary studies or secondary data. Qualitative data analysis during the field uses the Miles and Huberman Model analysis, namely data reduction, data models, drawing/verifying conclusions. In this qualitative research, data analysis has been carried out simultaneously with the data collection process. The recommendation of this research is that all elements, both society, government, NGOs, tribal leaders, must work together to realize elections with integrity. because elections with integrity are not only seen from the results but the process/stages must also have integrity. Abstract

This research was structured to find out and analyze the effectiveness of public services in Demak district, especially in the Demak district government's reporting channel. Along with technological developments, the Demak Regency Communication and Informatics Service (DINKOMINFO) is moving to provide efforts and innovation on issues regarding public services. The program provided is in the form of public services in the form of reports through booths, websites, SMS, social media, and applications to convey public complaints. This research is a qualitative descriptive study with a process of document analysis and observation. The information taken comes from a sample involving the people of Demak district. At this stage of the study, an analysis of public knowledge and the effectiveness of the number of users of the complaint report service was used, namely Hallo Demak and the SP4N report application, Demak district. The results of the study obtained the effectiveness of public services in Demak district through SP4N reports that the Demak district had experienced an increase in the range from December 2020 to mid-January 2021 in a period of 1.5 months receiving a total of 212 complaints, but the data was not optimal and uneven. There are still many people who do not know and even use the service. The lack of equality in the form of direct introduction and involving many parties such as students, university students, laborers, village officials, has an effect on ordinary people to participate and feel the benefits of the facilities provided.   Keywords: SPAN; Report; Introduction; Benefits.

Abstract

Neurolaw is an interdisciplinary field that combines law and neuroscience to enhance the understanding of human behavior, decision-making, and their legal implications. This approach is gaining global attention and has potential for application in Indonesia's criminal law system. Neurolaw sheds light on how factors related to the brain and nervous system like impulsivity, mental health issues, and environmental influences can affect criminal behavior and personal accountability. This research, using normative legal method, finds that neurolaw could be valuable in Indonesia's justice system for evaluating testimony, truth, and fairness. Techniques like brain scans and neuropsychological tests offer scientific support for statements made by defendants and witnesses, helping to ensure legal decisions are more objective and just. While neurolaw offers potential advancements for criminal law, it faces challenges in Indonesia. Neuroscience is a complex field that requires specialized knowledge, yet Indonesia currently has few experts in this area. Additionally, the required infrastructure such as brain scanning technology, advanced laboratories, and research funding is limited.

Abstract

The development of an increasingly advanced world, of course, brings a change in the global order model. Under conditions of economic uncertainty both globally and domestically, as well as conditions where exchange rates tend to depreciate, people tend to hedge by purchasing assets that can be traded globally. The phenomenon of cryptocurrencies or what is understood as digital currency and this which is currently rife is becoming one of the activities for the world community. Indonesia is of course also not left behind, the government's action in supporting crypto asset trading is a form of strategy in accelerating, creating, and encouraging efforts to develop Indonesia's digital economy in 2030. In Indonesia, crypto currency has become the government's concern and has become an object regulated in regulation. The bibliographical analysis method in this scientific paper will describe the concept of the results of the analysis and innovations that have great potential for cryptocurrencies. The descriptive analysis provides a comprehensive overview of the research question how to trade cryptocurrencies in the perspective of Islamic law. Another goal is to understand the regulation, especially government policy, from a sharia perspective, the use of virtual currency as a legal payment method is still being debated. In this study, the views of scholars regarding the existence of cryptocurrencies will be conveyed through the interpretation of the perspective of Islamic law and their analysis in relation to the laws and regulations in force in Indonesia

Abstract

This research discusses research that focuses on the capabilities of satellitebased LoRa, for satellite positions orbiting in low earth orbit (LEO). The expectation of low power wide area network (LPWAN) satellite can find the quality of transmitting data using LoRaWAN which is part of LPWAN and can provide quality of service (QoS) with high-quality real-time sensor data, low latency, long-range, low-power, no attenuation signal, no problem with obstacles in terrestrial areas, and other benefits that can be widely optimized. This article uses a comprehensive analysis of mathematical calculations as well as precise and accurate simulations for the actual development of satellite-based LPWAN. The satellite-based IoT is unlimited in terms of distance, to provide good services to all IoT users in the world. The comparison with terrestrial measurements is analyzed in detail, especially the signal attenuation factor that causes a lot of signal loss and data is not well received. Several methods are used to help reduce collision data, such as adaptive data rate (ADR) which can reduce collisions by 30%.
