Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peningkatan hasil belajar dribbling bola basket pada siswa kelas VII SMP Swasta All-Ikhwan Medan, melalui pendekatan bermain. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus, dengan tiap siklus terdiri atas perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini berupa tes kepada para siswa yang berbentuk aplikasi teknik dasar dribbling bola basket. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan penilaian hasil belajar dribbling bola basket. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan secara deskriptif berdasarkan pada analisis kualitatif dengan prosentase. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh simpulan bahwa melalui pendekatan bermain, dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar dribbling bola basket, diperoleh peningkatan yang signifikan dari siklus I dan siklus II dari hasil analisis data yang dilakukan.

The study conducted a profound exploration on the potential impacts of a blended learning-based flipped classroom method on students' reading comprehension and their perception towards it. The methodology used a quantitative quasi-experimental approach with purposive sampling in a state senior high school in Palembang. The process of collecting data involved the utilization of questionnaires, post-tests, and pre-tests. Either experimental and control class has 25 students. The test's reliability and validity were thoroughly examined through the employment of the Split-Half technique as well as the Aiken formula. Furthermore, in an effort to establish dependability for the questionnaire, Pearson Correlation testing methods were utilized. A comprehensive data analysis covered broad statistical areas including application of Shapiro-Wilk procedure, Levene Statistics test evaluating homogeneity characteristics, deployment of independent samples t-test and incorporation of Cohen's d in hypothesis validation procedures. Post intervention results from experimental group significantly indicated marked improvements in reading comprehension following hypothesis assessment. The alternative hypothesis (Ha) was thereby substantiated, leading to the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0). Additionally, students perceive the blended learning-based flipped classroom as an enjoyable teaching approach that enhances their engagement in the learning process and aids improvement in areas that require attention. These findings imply that implementing the blended learning-based flipped classroom could be a valuable resource for English teachers, offering advantages to students such as improved accessibility and readiness for reading comprehension learning.

Vocabulary mastery or glossary for children is necessary in learning English because a good understanding of vocabulary will support the ability to master English skills. Card media is one of the print learning media that can be used by children to master vocabulary quickly. The purpose of this study was to determine the form of development of hotel restaurant glossary cards for Fatimah 7 Palembang Kindergarten students. This study was conducted using the Research & Development approach developed by Plomp (1997) with the stages of preliminary investigation, designing, realization/construction, testing, evaluation, and revision, and implementation. Data was collected through interviews. The study was conducted in July-November 2023 with the population and sample of Fatimah 7 Palembang Kindergarten students. The final product was glossary cards that had been tested and validated by experts of linguistic, content and design. This study produced product outputs in the form of a final report, SINTA accredited scientific articles, and Hotel Restaurant Glossary Cards products registered in HKI.

Penerapan model pembelajaran Project Based Learning (PjBL) sangat penting dalam menciptakan pengalaman belajar yang relevan dan bermakna bagi siswa. Kegiatan pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pelatihan penerapan PjBL dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di SMA Negeri 12 Palembang serta menganalisis proses dan hasilnya. Menggunakan pendekatan berbasis masyarakat, pelatihan dilakukan dengan metode ceramah dan diskusi bersama enam guru Bahasa Inggris. Hasil pelatihan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman para guru terhadap konsep PjBL, dimana rata-rata tingkat pemahaman meningkat sebesar 35% berdasarkan hasil pre-test dan post-test. Para peserta juga merasa lebih siap menerapkan metode ini dalam pengajaran mereka. Selain itu, 83% guru menunjukkan minat tinggi dalam merancang proyek pembelajaran yang sesuai dengan kurikulum, meskipun mereka menghadapi tantangan terkait waktu dan sumber daya. Diskusi kelompok selama pelatihan memperkaya pemahaman peserta dan mendorong kolaborasi antar guru. Refleksi yang dilakukan setelah pelatihan menghasilkan rencana tindakan bagi guru untuk menerapkan PjBL di kelas mereka. Temuan ini menegaskan pentingnya pelatihan yang sistematis dan berkelanjutan untuk meningkatkan kesiapan dan pemahaman guru dalam menerapkan PjBL, yang diharapkan dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di sekolah

One of the challenges students face in learning English is the confidence to speak the language in practical situation. To cope with this problem, incorporating travel vlogs in English classroom may be one of the solutions. The purpose of this study is to examine and describe the students' perspective towards the use of travel vloggings in the English classroom and whether it can help boost their confidence in speaking English. This study was conducted at Sriwijaya State Polytechnic, participated by second semester students of Tourism Business Management department who took English for Tourism Industry compulsory subject. The data were collected using questionnaire and then analysed using qualitative descriptive approach. The results showed that students have positive attitude towards the use of travel vlogs to boost their confidence in speaking English.

Bahasa Inggris menjadi bahasa internasional yang sering digunakan oleh masyarakat di seluruh dunia, baik untuk kepentingan bisnis, pendidikan, hingga percakapan sehari-hari. Karena itu, banyak negara yang melatih kecakapan berbahasa Inggris. Ironisnya, berdasarkan laporan lembaga pendidikan Education First (EF), Indonesia memiliki indeks kecakapan bahasa Inggris sebesar 502 pada urutan ke 79 dari 113 negara di dunia pada 2023. Skor tersebut masuk kategori kemampuan rendah dan membuatnya berada di peringkat ketiga belas di Asia. Oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan pelatihan-pelatihan bahasa Inggris yang harus diberikan kepada para generasi muda untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris mereka. Salah satu pelatihan bahasa Inggris adalah pelatihan TOEFL. TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) adalah salah satu metode test yang dapat mengukur kemampuan berbahasa Inggris peserta didik. Berdasarkan fakta tersebut, pengabdian ini dilakukan kepada para santri berupa pelatihan TOEFL dengan metode diagnostic teaching di Pondok Pesantren Tahfidz Qur’an Palembang dalam rangka untuk meningkatkan kemampuan bahasa Inggris generasi muda. Melalui pengabdian ini, para santri dapat memahami pentingnya Bahasa Inggris dan mendapatkan ilmu-ilmu dasar mengenai TOEFL.

Studying the biological reproduction of fish is important for determining the spawning season and providing several management options to protect the fisheries. The study conducted length and biology reproduction sampling of Mackerel scad (Decapterus macarellus) caught by mini purse seine landed in Tobelo coastal fishing port during 20152016. The total sample consisted of 1228 individuals, 526 males and 671 females with size distributions ranging from 12.50 to 29.90 cmFL. Results showed that there were 432 immature and 94 mature male fish and 582 immature and 89 mature female fish. The growth pattern for male fish is negative allometric (b3) while for females is isometric (b=3). The highest GSI value for male was recorded during May and November, while for females it was in May and October. Based on this result, the spawning season of mackerel scad in the North Halmahera waters is predicted to occur in March-May and August-October, by the first and second transition seasons. The study found that the length at first maturity (Lm) was 24.90 cmFL for male fish and 26.41 cmFL for female fish, the Lm bigger than Length at first capture (Lc) of 21.93 cmFL. Pemulihan ekonomi pasca Covid-19 menjadi tantangan bagi pemerintah daerah maupun nasional. Salah satu sumber daya alam melimpah yang dimiliki Indonesia dan berpotensi untuk mendorong perekonomian negara yaitu timah. Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung sebagai daerah penghasil timah juga memberikan kontribusi tersendiri bagi kegiatan ekspor komoditas timah Indonesia.Penelitian ini menggunakan metode moving average untuk melihat hasil prediksi diantara variabel jumlah penduduk miskin, jumlah penduduk, jumlah angkatan kerja dan jumlah ekspor komoditas timah yang ada di Provinsi Kepulauan Bangka Belitung. Dari hasil penelitian ini didapatkan bahwa metode terbaik untuk melakukan prediksi adalah metode Moving Average 5 tahun. Hasil prediksi nilai ekspor timah pada tahun 2024 sebesar 129177802 dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 13276416. Jumlah angkatan kerja pada tahun 2024 sebesar 7822772,9 dengan nilai RMSE sebesar 4714,979. Prediksi jumlah penduduk sebesar 1505473 dengan RMSE sebesar 5260,285. Kemudian untuk hasil prediksi jumlah penduduk miskin sebesar 68,99015 dengan RMSE sebesar 1,093671.
