Abstract

Background. Diabetes Mellitus (DM) is a health problem with an increasing prevalence and a high risk of serious and often fatal complications. DM is included in the group of metabolic disorders characterized by hyperglycemia due to abnormalities in insulin secretion, insulin action, or both, one of which is a concern because it occurs due to dietary failure. Clients who have had diabetes for more than a year are almost entirely helpless. This study aim was to determine the benefits of acceptance and commitment therapy (hereinafter abbreviated as ACT) in resolving problems in clients with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Research Method. Case report on the implementation of ACT to reduce helplessness and increase dietary adherence. The subjects used were three clients with type 2 diabetes mellitus who experienced helplessness. In this case, implementation studies of three to four weeks with comprehensive care. Findings. The results of the study show that giving acceptance commitment therapy (ACT) can reduce helplessness and improve dietary compliance. Conclusion. ACT is recommended to improve dietary compliance and reduce the helplessness of DM clients.

Abstract

Background: Ineffective communication between a team of health workers will certainly have an impact on the success of treatment and cause side effects for patients. Adverse events are often analyzed to illustrate the impact of patient safety on quality of care. The side effects referred to are injuries caused by medical behavior that result in prolonged hospitalization and/or disability upon patient discharge. Objective: This systematic review aims to identify the effectiveness of strategies to improve effective communication and patient safety with SBAR among healthcare teams in hospitals. Methods: A systematic review of quantitative and qualitative studies with narrative synthesis. Literature search was sourced from three databases (Medline, CINAHL, and Science Direct) between September 2019 – March 2022. Participants A variety of health professionals including nurses and doctors. Results: The actions required when using the SBAR tool are as follows: situation, briefly state the problem, briefly present background information relevant to the situation, assess, provide analysis and consider various options, and recommend a specific course of action or treatment. Conclusion: This review found evidence that to improve effective communication and patient safety through the application of SBAR, especially when used to provide services to patients in hospitals, especially for emergency, urgent and time-sensitive actions. However this evidence is limited to certain circumstances such as telephone communication.

Abstract

Background: Satisfactory health services are everyone's expectations, so the government makes policies with health insurance that are mutual cooperation by creating a National Health Insurance program and organized by the Social Security Administering Body. However, not all BPJS users get satisfaction with health services, as well as other insurance users. Aims: This study aims to compare the level of satisfaction with health services between patients using BPJS and other insurance users. Methods: The design used in this study was Cross Sectional. The total sample size is 80, namely 40 BPJS patients and 40 non BPJS patients with purposive sampling technique. The research variables consisted of: the level of patient satisfaction (dependent) and health services (independent). The questionnaire on the level of patient satisfaction and health services uses an instrument that has been developed by the management of Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital. Data were analyzed by Spearman rank correlation and Chi-square test with a significance level of 0.05. Results: The results showed BPJS patients were not satisfied (25%) and satisfied (25%) towards health services. However, non -BPJS patients are mostly satisfied (35%) for health services. This is because the entire staffing status of health workers has become a permanent employee, and the length of work of health workers has been 2-3 years so that health services to BPJS and Non BPJS patients do not look at the patient's status, all patients are treated equally in providing health services. Conclusion: Adi Husada Kapasari Hospital is expected to continue to provide quality and satisfying health services to patients regardless of insurance participants. Improving the quality of health services to always be developed following the development of science in the health sector.

A systematic review aims to find out the education for nurses working in ambulances (pre-hospital). Research Method. Systematic review goes through several stages, namely making questions, identification, eligibility, selection of article inclusion, screening, and assessment/appraisal. The Selection Process is listed in the thematic review framework and the results of 9 articles are obtained. Articles are then summarized and assessed JBI on each of the articles Findings. The data showed varying results adapted to the system and the conditions from which the study was conducted. To improve the knowledge, skills, and experience of nurses, nurses who work in ambulances (pre-hospital), are carried out to provide education with 3 methods, such as providing questionnaires, simulations and relationships between nurses and patients through 4-phase identification. Abstract

Background. Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic disease that can exacerbate depressive symptoms due to increased symptom burden complications that lead to functional impairment and decreased quality of life. People with T2DM are twice as likely to experience loss of physical function, and decreased physical fitness and strength than people without T2DM. Physical effort is an integral part of programs for disease prevention and management. Physical fitness, depression status, and quality of life have not been specifically evaluated and described after training in these two environments.  This article aims to find and review land and water-based physical exercise intervention research as an alternative solution to improve physical fitness, depression status, and quality of life of T2DM patients. Research Method. Descriptive analysis method. Systematic reviews were evaluated using the PRISMA checklist. Database: Scopus, Science direct, Pubmed, CINAHL, and ProQuest. Article search with the PICOS framework. The Joanna Briggs Institute (JBI) Critical Appraisal as an alternative to assessing the risk of study bias. Findings. The 25 articles that met the inclusion criteria consisted of 18 (Randomized Control Trials) and 7 (Quasy-experiments). Consisting of land and water-based aerobic classifications that are useful in the physical and psychological aspects of T2DM. Conclusion. There is an influence of land-based and aquatic physical exercise on physical fitness, depressive status, and quality of life in T2DM patients.
