Abstract

Bullying, sexual violence, and intolerance are three main challenges that frequently arise in educational environments, significantly impacting students' emotional well-being. These issues have the potential to hinder their academic and social development. In this community service effort, we designed a comprehensive mitigation strategy with a collaborative approach involving teachers, students, and parents. Awareness-raising and support activities have been conducted to enhance understanding of these issues, although implementation still faces challenges, particularly regarding the low reporting of bullying cases. Many students feel afraid to report, requiring special attention. Therefore, it is crucial to provide strong emotional support and create a safe space for students to speak. We recommend that the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening (P5) program be more thoroughly integrated into the school curriculum. With this effort, it is hoped that a safer, more inclusive educational environment that supports optimal student development can be achieved

Abstract

Pasirmunjul Village, located in Sukatani District, Purwakarta Regency, is categorized as a landslide-prone area due to its hilly topography and high rainfall. The limited public understanding of disaster risks and lack of preparedness represent serious challenges in disaster risk reduction. This community engagement initiative aimed to improve local resilience through educational and mitigation-based approaches. The activities included public awareness campaigns, emergency response training, evacuation simulations, and environmental conservation education to help prevent future ground movement. The results showed a significant improvement in residents' understanding of landslide risks, readiness for emergencies, and active participation in protecting the surrounding environment. This program is expected to strengthen the community’s capacity to independently and sustainably anticipate and manage landslide disasters.

Abstract

The digital transformation in education necessitates a new approach to teaching Islamic Religious Education (IRE), particularly in the context of SMPIT Fitrah Insani Leles Garut. This study addresses the integration of deep learning (DL) methods into IRE learning planning, a topic that has rarely been researched. Using a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The focus was on exploring the integration of the DL curriculum, institutional readiness, teacher preparedness, and the development of a DL-based IRE learning planning model. The findings revealed that the integration of DL into the IRE curriculum is still in its early stages, with limited digital infrastructure and low teacher pedagogical literacy. However, quantitative results indicated a positive trend, with students showing a 30% increase in engagement when using DL-based methods, especially in project-based learning and contextual activities. Despite these early successes, a systematic DL-based IRE learning planning model is necessary for further development, supported by policies, teacher training, and infrastructure improvement. This study contributes to the development of a technology-based Islamic curriculum that is contextual, adaptable to the 21st-century educational landscape, and demonstrates potential for improving IRE learning outcomes.

Abstract

Bullying in primary schools poses significant threats to student well-being and academic achievement, requiring effective school management approaches for prevention. This study examined differences in bullying prevention management between rural and urban primary schools to understand how contextual factors influence implementation effectiveness. A qualitative comparative case study was conducted at two primary schools in Cianjur Regency, West Java: SD Negeri Kebonpeuteuy 2 (rural) and SD Negeri Sayang 2 (urban). Data collection employed triangulated methods including systematic observation, semi-structured interviews with twelve key informants, and document analysis. Thematic content analysis was applied using Deming's four-stage management cycle framework encompassing planning, implementation, monitoring, and follow-up phases. Rural schools demonstrated informal, culturally-embedded approaches emphasizing local wisdom integration (silih asah, silih asih, silih asuh), community-based supervision, and dialogical mediation for conflict resolution. Urban schools implemented systematic, technology-enhanced strategies featuring formal documentation, structured peer ambassador programs, digital monitoring systems, and professional external support. Both contexts showed effectiveness within their respective resource constraints and community characteristics, with rural schools leveraging social capital and urban schools utilizing formal organizational capacity. Findings reveal that effective bullying prevention management requires contextually responsive approaches rather than standardized procedures. Rural schools' cultural integration demonstrates community-embedded prevention strategies, while urban schools' systematic approaches reflect formal organizational readiness. The study contributes to educational management literature by extending organizational capacity theory and providing frameworks for adaptive prevention policies that integrate systematic implementation with culturally responsive strategies for sustainable bullying prevention across diverse educational contexts.
