Abstract

Ecovillage adalah program pemerintah sebagai upaya mengembangkan desa berbudaya lingkungan. Program ini bertujuan untuk menciptakan masyarakat yang ramah lingkungan yang berkelanjutan, cerdas secara ekologis, gotong royong, dan masyarakat yang mandiri. Ecovillage berkontribusi pada masyarakat dalam memahami, menganalisis, dan menemukan solusi kreatif untuk pemecahan masalah diri. Objek studi ini dilakukan pada masyarakat di sekitar Sungai Citanduy, Ciamis, Jawa Barat, Indonesia, yang merupakan anggota dari program ecovillage. Teknik pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan bola salju dengan mengambil pertimbangan dari ketua informan kunci ecovillage. Analisis dilakukan secara deskriptif dengan melakukan analisis triangulasi data hasil lapangan. Program ecovillage memiliki dampak positif pada masyarakat; meningkatnya kesadaran akan pelestarian lingkungan, pengembangan kecerdasan ekologis, pola pemanfaatan sumber daya yang berkelanjutan, peningkatan kreativitas masyarakat, dan disiplin dalam mengelola lingkungan yang berkelanjutan. Pemanfaatan lingkungan sebagai sumber belajar khususnya lingkungan Daerah Aliran Sungai Citanduy dapat dikembangkan untuk meningkatkan ecoliteracy siswa. Beberapa hal yang dapat dikembangkan yaitu aspek pengetahuan (head/cognitive), aspek kesadaran (hear/emotional), aspek keaktifan (hands/active), dan aspek semangat (connectional)

Abstract

Peranan lingkungan seperti lingkungan sosial, keluarga, dan teman merupakan peranan yang sangat penting bagi peserta didik. Lingkungan mempunyai pengaruh besar terhadap proses pembelajaran geografi peserta didik. Pembelajaran geografi dapat membantu peserta didik dalam meningkatkan pemahaman serta diharapkan dapat menumbuhkan sikap dan perilaku keruangan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mendeskripsikan peran lingkungan sosial sebagaiĀ  pembentukan sikap dan perilakuĀ  keruangan peserta didik SMA Negeri 8 Tasikmalaya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif-kualitatif, dan dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 8 Tasikmalaya. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi, wawancara, dan dokumentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukan peran lingkungan sekolah sebagai wadah pendidikan mampu membuat siswa memiliki sikap dan perilaku keruangan karena tersedianya buku sebagai sumber belajar, guru sebagai fasilitator serta teman sebaya sebagai tutor pembelajaran. Sementara itu, lingkungan keluarga dan lingkungan masyarakat kurang mendukung peserta didik untuk membentuk sikap dan perilaku keruangan karena tidak adanya edukasi, pengawasan dan sosialisasi yang dilakukan kepada peserta didik.

Abstract

Aims: This study aimed to develop an approach for disaster risk reduction in urban communities of the indigenous community in Kampung Kuta, West Java, to enhance disaster literacy. The primary issue addressed was the insufficient integration of traditional knowledge into formal disaster education, limiting the effectiveness of disaster preparedness in local communities. Methodology and Results: The study highlighted the inadequate integration of traditional knowledge into formal disaster mitigation, hampering the effectiveness of disaster preparedness in indigenous communities. A qualitative approach was employed, involving interviews, observations, and focus group discussions (FGDs) with local indigenous leaders and community members. The results reveal that Kampung Kuta's indigenous knowledge offers valuable practices for disaster mitigation, such as environmental management and communal responsibility, which could be integrated into formal mitigation frameworks. Transforming these traditions into resilience learning strategies could significantly enhance disaster literacy, fostering greater awareness and resilience within the community. The novelty of this research lies in the fusion of traditional and modern educational strategies, creating culturally relevant disaster education approaches that preserve indigenous knowledge and enhance its application in contemporary disaster management. Conclusion, Significance, and Impact: This strategy provides a viable model for other regions with strong traditions of local wisdom, contributing to the global discourse on integrating indigenous practices into disaster risk reduction (DRR) frameworks, especially in areas prone to natural disasters.

Abstract

Professional competence is one of the four core competencies that teachers must possess. The ability to write and publish scientific papers is a crucial aspect of sustainable professional development. Based on observations, many geography teachers have yet to understand the structure and process of scientific writing effectively. A community service program conducted by the team from the Geography Education Study Program at Universitas Siliwangi, in collaboration with the Geography Subject Teachers' Forum (MGMP) of Tasikmalaya Regency, is a strategic step to enhance the professional competence of teachers, particularly in terms of scientific publication. This community service program focuses on scientific writing techniques, from concept dissemination to hands-on practice in writing, centered on themes of interest to the teachers. This method involves the development of technical skills, such as constructing research instruments, and builds teachers' confidence in publishing their work in scientific journals. With ongoing workshops and mentoring, the outcome is teachers' ability to write and publish scientific papers. This effort not only strengthens professionalism but also enriches knowledge in geography education. Keywords: Training; Scientific Writing; Geography Teacher
